Sermorelin Cost: What You'll Really Pay per Month and per Year (2026)
Not TRT, not testosterone, and not FDA-approved: what sermorelin costs, what the price leaves out, and whether it's worth paying for.
Sermorelin cost starts at $119 a month for a flat-price injection plan among the U.S. online programs we could price cleanly, while many recurring offers sit around $149 to $200 a month. Intro prices such as $79 or $99 often do not last. The prescription options reviewed here are compounded drugs, not FDA-approved finished products.
So which number on your screen is real? We rechecked the providers named in this guide against their current public pricing, product, help-center and terms pages, then did the math only where the billing terms were clear. Some of what we found surprised us, including a pricing problem at a seller that may pay us.
Three things change the price you'll pay:
- The promo price vs. the real price. A first-month offer can jump in month two.
- Prepaid or longer-term plans. A longer commitment can lower the advertised monthly rate. Check whether the plan is actually prepaid or billed monthly before you assume how much leaves your account on day one.
- What's included. Medication, memberships, clinician review, labs, shipping and follow-up care are packaged differently from one provider to another.
Worth pricing out if: you've already discussed why you're considering sermorelin with a licensed clinician and you're comparing legitimate prescription programs on total cost, not just the ad price.
Probably not for you if: you want a proven anti-aging, weight-loss, energy or libido fix; you need insurance to cover the treatment; you compete in drug-tested sports; or unexplained fatigue, low sex drive or other symptoms have not been properly evaluated.
TRT Provider Guide is the independent decision resource for testosterone replacement therapy — helping U.S. adults understand how low testosterone is evaluated, compare online and local care models and providers, and choose the next step that fits their health needs, fertility plans, budget, state, and care preferences, with every material claim verified and dated.

Sermorelin cost at a glance
How much does sermorelin cost per month? Current prices checked October 9, 2026
Among the current U.S. online programs we could price cleanly, injection plans start at $119 a month and many recurring offers sit around $149 to $200. The public market is messier than one range suggests: some providers show only an intro price, some add a membership, and some sell a broader peptide program rather than a sermorelin-only plan.
The table is sorted by how useful the public price is, not by who pays us. We calculate first-year cost only when the provider publishes enough information to support the number.
Affiliate disclosure: TRT Provider Guide may earn a commission from certain provider links. Compensation does not change the facts we report or our editorial conclusions. This page follows our published method, How We Review TRT Providers.
How we did the math:
- First-year cost means 12 months at the published recurring rate plus required recurring fees we could verify. We do not annualize an intro price.
- We didn't add optional consults or labs to a total unless the provider says they are required.
- Rx Peps Direct / Cost Plus TRT publishes a vial price and a provider-review fee but not a refill interval that lets us turn that into a defensible monthly or annual cost. We leave the monthly and annual totals uncalculated instead of inventing a refill schedule.
- Hone Health currently lists sermorelin at $130/month with a membership or $175/month without one through Async Care. A Basic membership is $50 at signup, then $25/month, and includes lab orders every six months.
- Taurus Meds does not publish a clear month-two sermorelin price, so we do not calculate a first-year total.
- Harley Meds shows two different starting prices on the same current page, so we do not pick one for it.
The right TRT provider is not the same for every person — it depends on whether low testosterone has been properly evaluated, your symptoms and health history, your fertility plans, your state, your insurance or cash-pay preference, your treatment-format preference, your budget, and whether online or in-person care is the better starting point. Some situations belong with primary care, urology, endocrinology, reproductive urology, or urgent or emergency care when the symptoms warrant it. Because a general answer cannot resolve those for you, use TRT Provider Guide's Find My TRT Path tool to map your situation to the right care route and the questions to ask before you pay.
That matters here more than you might think. A lot of men find sermorelin through hormone clinics while searching for answers to fatigue, libido or recovery problems. Those symptoms are not specific to low testosterone or growth-hormone problems, so the right evaluation comes before choosing a peptide.
Why is the real sermorelin price higher than the ad?
Most sermorelin ads lead with the smallest number available: an introductory month, a longer-plan rate or medication pricing that does not include a membership. The safest comparison is the amount due today, the month-two price and the total cost over the same number of months.
Here's the cleanest example. It isn't a bad actor. AgelessRx is actually clearer than most. That's what makes it a good teacher.
A $99 first month followed by $149 renewals isn't a $99-a-month program. Neither is anything else on this list.
Where the gap comes from, provider by provider
The five fees or terms that can hide behind a sermorelin price
- Membership fees. Hone's Basic membership is $25 a month after a $50 signup charge. Eden charges $39 for month one and $99 a month after. Taurus's general terms list a $17.99 recurring membership fee, but its sermorelin page does not say clearly whether that fee applies to a sermorelin-only order.
- Consult fees. Hone Basic offers optional live consults at $75 for men. Strut says physician consultations are included.
- Lab fees. Some programs include or offer labs; others do not mention them. Do not assume a lab is included just because a provider calls the program "monitored."
- Plan length. AgelessRx, Maximus and Sermorelin.com all use plan length or introductory pricing to change the monthly number.
- Shipping and supplies. Several providers include them, but check the page you are actually buying from.
The biggest avoidable mistake is comparing a promo month with somebody else's normal recurring price. Compare the same time period and the same included services.
Run your own numbers: the sermorelin true-cost calculator
Pick a provider and a plan, choose how many months you expect to stay, and the calculator can add up month one, month two, your first 90 days and your first year using the published fees. Where a provider doesn't publish a number, it should say that instead of guessing.
It's built from the same October 9, 2026 price check as the table above. It doesn't need health information.
If you'd rather do it on paper, here's the formula we use:
First-year cost = first-month charge + recurring medication charges + required membership fees + required consult fees + required lab fees + one-time onboarding fees
Two quick checks catch most surprises:
- The first-90-day number. This exposes intro pricing and prepaid-plan effects quickly.
- The medication quantity. If two programs publish different vial strengths or quantities, a monthly sticker price alone does not tell you whether the offers are comparable.
Do not use cost-per-milligram to compare different drugs or to choose a dose. Medication amount and schedule are clinical decisions for the prescriber.

Is sermorelin FDA-approved?
No compounded sermorelin product sold today is FDA-approved as a finished drug. Older Geref products containing sermorelin acetate were FDA-approved for specific diagnostic and pediatric growth-hormone uses, then discontinued; FDA withdrew their approvals effective June 18, 2009 and later determined they were not withdrawn for safety or effectiveness reasons.
That history matters because "sermorelin was FDA-approved" and "sermorelin has never been FDA-approved" are both incomplete. The old Geref products were approved. The compounded products sold by today's telehealth clinics are not those approved products, and compounded drugs do not go through FDA approval.
The short history of Geref
Notice what's missing from those approved indications: general adult anti-aging, wellness, weight loss or treatment of low testosterone.
What "compounded" means for your wallet
A compounded drug is prepared for a patient under compounding law rather than marketed as an FDA-approved finished drug. FDA says compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and that it does not review their safety, effectiveness or quality before marketing.
There are two federal compounding pathways you'll often see mentioned:
- Section 503A generally concerns traditional pharmacy compounding based on patient-specific prescriptions and is primarily overseen by states, with federal conditions that can apply.
- Section 503B covers registered outsourcing facilities that must meet additional federal requirements, including current good manufacturing practice requirements.
For a buyer, the practical point is simpler: "compounded" is not another word for "FDA-approved generic." Ask which pharmacy will fill your prescription, what formulation is being dispensed and what the quoted price covers.
Is sermorelin on FDA's "Category 1" list? We checked.
FDA's 503B bulk-substance list currently includes sermorelin acetate in Category 1 and marks it as a component of an FDA-approved drug. Category 1 means FDA has identified the substance as under evaluation for the 503B bulks list; it is not FDA approval of a compounded finished product.
FDA's separate 503B Category 2 list includes substances such as ipamorelin acetate and certain other growth-hormone secretagogues that FDA has identified as presenting significant safety risks in compounding. That is one reason not to treat every "peptide stack" as interchangeable with plain sermorelin.
Is sermorelin legal? Is it a steroid or a controlled substance?
- It is not testosterone and it is not a steroid. Sermorelin is a peptide analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH).
- It does not appear on DEA's current controlled-substance list. Testosterone does and is Schedule III.
- It is not HGH. Sermorelin signals the pituitary growth-hormone system; somatropin is human growth hormone itself.
Whether a particular compounded prescription can be dispensed depends on the prescriber, pharmacy, patient, state and applicable compounding rules. A telehealth ad is not proof that a product is available to every person in every state.
Is sermorelin banned in sports?
Yes. The World Anti-Doping Agency's 2026 Prohibited List names sermorelin among substances prohibited at all times, in and out of competition. If you are subject to anti-doping rules, do not treat a prescription as proof that a substance is permitted.
Which sermorelin option fits your budget and situation?
If the lowest flat injection price matters most, Strut publishes $119 a month with physician consultations and shipping included. If you want lab orders built into a membership, Hone Basic includes them every six months but adds a $25 monthly membership. If the public pricing is unclear, do not guess—get the recurring price in writing before you pay.

Sermorelin cost by seller: what each one really costs
Below are the providers we could recheck against current public pages, with what's included, what isn't and the fine print. Each one starts with our verdict, then the evidence. Where the current page conflicts with an older number, the current page controls.
Every price here was rechecked against a provider-published page on October 9, 2026.
Rx Peps Direct / Cost Plus TRT sermorelin cost: $80 per 15 mg vial plus $39 provider review
Verdict: a low vial price, but not a defensible monthly price from the public information alone.
- Price: $80 per 15 mg vial, plus a $39 telehealth provider review.
- Monthly cost: not calculable from the public page because it does not give a refill interval that supports turning one vial into a monthly quote.
- Membership: the page says no subscription, markup or membership.
- Pharmacy: the current page names Optimal Balance Pharmacy.
- Labs: not stated for sermorelin.
- Best for: people comparing direct vial pricing who are willing to ask how often their actual prescription would be refilled.
- Skip if: you want a simple all-in monthly number before intake.
Strut Health sermorelin cost: $119 a month for injections
Verdict: the lowest flat monthly injection price we could verify with physician consultations and shipping stated as included.
- Price: $119/month for injections on auto-refill; $99 for a 30-day supply of sublingual lozenges.
- Included: physician consultations and free shipping.
- First year at the stated price: $119 × 12 = $1,428 for injections; $99 × 12 = $1,188 for lozenges.
- Compounded disclosure: yes.
- Labs: not mentioned.
- Cancel: the product page says cancel anytime.
- Best for: people who want one predictable advertised monthly price.
- Skip if: you want lab monitoring built into the program.
AgelessRx sermorelin cost: $149 a month after month one, $1,738 the first year
Verdict: clear about its promo, but the ongoing injection price is $149, not $99.
- Price: $99 for the first month of a qualifying 3-month injection plan, then $149/month.
- First 90 days: $397. First year: $99 + ($149 × 11) = $1,738.
- Billing: AgelessRx says the 3-month plan is billed in full.
- Included: clinician-guided treatment, messaging, support and free shipping are listed on the current page.
- Compounded disclosure: the page says medication is prepared by a U.S.-licensed compounding pharmacy.
- Labs: not mentioned.
- Best for: people comfortable with the 3-month start.
- Skip if: you want to pay for only one injection month before deciding whether to continue.
AgelessRx also advertises a nasal spray at $149 for the first month and $199/month after. That is a different treatment format with a different price, so we do not mix it into the injection total.
Sermorelin.com cost: $149–$199 a month, $1,788–$2,388 at the stated monthly rates
Verdict: the clearest public plan ladder in this comparison.
- Price: $199 month to month, $169/month on a 3-month plan and $149/month on a 6-month plan.
- First year at the stated rates: $1,788 on the $149 rate; $2,388 at $199/month.
- Billing: the current page calls the plans a recurring monthly subscription and says cancel anytime.
- Included: licensed-provider review, medication if prescribed, ongoing support and free shipping are listed.
- Compounding: the current page says a U.S.-based, state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacy ships the medication.
- Guarantee: the site advertises a 180-day guarantee on the 6-month plan; terms apply.
- Labs: not mentioned.
Hone Health sermorelin cost: $130 a month with membership or $175 without
Verdict: not the lowest medication price, but one of the clearest ways to pair sermorelin with scheduled lab orders if you choose the Basic membership.
Hone's current Async Care page lists sermorelin at $130/month with membership and $175/month without membership. It says a membership is not required for Async Care.
Basic membership:
The first-year math is $50 + ($25 × 11) + ($130 × 12) = $1,885.
Without a membership, the current Async Care price is $175/month, or $2,100 over 12 months if the price stays unchanged.
What else we verified:
- Async Care uses physician review without a scheduled live visit.
- Hone says no payment is collected until the physician approves the prescription.
- Basic includes lab orders every six months.
- Canceling a membership does not automatically cancel a pending prescription shipment.
- An unprocessed medication order may be cancellable and refundable; processed or shipped medication cannot be refunded.
- State availability varies by medication and membership, so confirm sermorelin availability for your state before paying.
What we'd ignore: Hone's marketing benefit claims and compensated patient testimonials are not proof that sermorelin will improve energy, libido, strength, mood or body composition for you.
Taurus Meds sermorelin cost: $79 the first month; month two isn't published
Verdict: the smallest first payment we found. Get the recurring price and any membership charge in writing before you pay.
- Price: the current sermorelin page shows $179 beside a $79 first-month offer.
- The gap: the public page does not state a clear month-two sermorelin price.
- Membership: Taurus's general terms describe recurring subscriptions and a recurring membership fee elsewhere on the site; the sermorelin page does not clearly show whether that fee applies to this treatment.
- Strength: the page displays a concentration that is hard to reconcile with the rest of the offer. Do not use that public line to calculate a dose; ask what formulation and quantity the pharmacy would actually dispense.
- Claims we don't rely on: the page makes broad wellness and side-effect claims that are not enough to establish safety or benefit.
- Who runs the care: Taurus's terms identify OpenLoop Health MSO in the service structure and list several partner pharmacies. That does not tell you which pharmacy would fill an individual prescription.
- Cancel and refund: the current terms say subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled and that shipped medications are final sale.
- Labs: not stated for sermorelin.
If Taurus is the offer you want to investigate, see its current sermorelin page and get the recurring price before checkout →.
Maximus sermorelin cost: $199.99–$299.99 a month
Verdict: the lowest published rate requires the 6-month plan; month to month costs $299.99.
- Price: $299.99 month to month, $274.99 on the 2-month plan and $199.99 on the 6-month plan.
- Published quantity: the current page describes a 28-day supply and says pricing can vary by dosage and state.
- Annual run-rate: $2,399.88 at $199.99/month or $3,599.88 at $299.99/month if the stated rate remains unchanged for 12 months.
- Labs: Maximus says lab testing is not required to use sermorelin.
- Compounded disclosure: yes.
- States: the current page says sermorelin is available in all states except Alabama.
We do not repeat the site's dosing directions here. Dosing and schedule are prescription decisions.
TRT Nation sermorelin cost: $199.99 a month
Verdict: a simple public price with shipping, syringes and consultations stated as included.
- Price: $199.99/month.
- Current checkout: describes a one-month supply, syringes, shipping and free unlimited consultations.
- Annual run-rate: $2,399.88 if the monthly price stays unchanged.
- State availability: checkout asks for your state before allowing treatment selection and says treatment is not available in all states.
- Labs: public materials say peptide therapy does not require blood work.
Harley Meds sermorelin cost: current page conflicts at $149 and $199
Verdict: the public page is too internally inconsistent to support a clean first-year calculation.
The current page shows $149 per month in one pricing block and $199 per month in another. It also says pricing is personalized based on lab results and the treatment plan.
- Included: medication, supplies, medical evaluation, ongoing bloodwork and monthly follow-up visits are listed.
- What we won't do: choose whichever of the two public prices makes the comparison look better.
- Best next step: if you're considering Harley Meds, ask what your recurring sermorelin charge would be and what testing is included before paying.
Peter MD: sermorelin is listed, but we couldn't verify a current public price
Verdict: the current public page does not give us a price we can publish with confidence.
Peter MD's current sermorelin page describes the treatment and says follow-up labs occur at 90 days, but the public page we checked did not expose a current price. We therefore leave its monthly and first-year cost uncalculated.
Eden sermorelin cost: $165 for month one, then an unpublished medication price
Verdict: you can't calculate a real yearly cost from the current public pages.
- Price: $126 for first-month medication.
- Membership: required; $39 for month one and $99/month after.
- First payment from those two published numbers: $165.
- The gap: Eden does not publish the ongoing medication price on the page we checked.
- Forms: injection and dissolving tablet are advertised.
- Compounded disclosure: yes.
- Shipping: stated as free.
Alpha Hormones: $449 a month for a broader peptide program
Verdict: this is a program price, not a clean sermorelin quote.
- Price: $449/month or $4,490/year for its growth-hormone-related peptide therapy membership.
- Other fees: the current pricing page did not show a separate setup fee.
- The catch: Alpha says peptide selection depends on medical evaluation. Do not present $449 as the price of a guaranteed sermorelin prescription.
- Annual comparison: $4,490 on the annual plan or a $5,388 run-rate at $449/month.
Other programs without a clean public price
A missing price is not a price. If a provider requires intake, an account or a consultation before it will show the recurring drug cost, ask for the medication price, required fees, billing cycle and cancellation terms before you authorize a charge.
Male Excel does not currently present a public sermorelin treatment on its site. We therefore do not include it as a sermorelin provider or route this page's commercial recommendation to Male Excel.
Oral sermorelin vs. injections: is the cheaper pill worth it?
Oral, under-the-tongue and nasal sermorelin are sold by some online providers, but we did not find product-specific human pharmacokinetic evidence showing that the currently marketed oral or nasal products deliver the same exposure as injected sermorelin. The historical FDA-approved Geref products were injectable. Do not assume that a cheaper or needle-free form is clinically equivalent.
Sermorelin is a peptide. Peptides are generally difficult to deliver by mouth because the digestive tract and intestinal barrier can break them down or limit absorption. That general problem does not prove that every compounded lozenge or nasal product fails; it means a seller should be able to show product-specific evidence before making strong absorption or equivalence claims.
If needle-free delivery is the reason you're shopping, ask the prescriber what human data support that exact formulation and how response will be monitored.
Can you buy cheaper "research" sermorelin instead?
No, not as a substitute for prescribed treatment. Products sold only for laboratory research are not patient prescriptions and should not be treated as a cheaper version of pharmacy-dispensed care. We exclude research-use-only sellers from the treatment-cost table because they are a different product and purchasing path.
You'll see research-peptide sites selling sermorelin for less than telehealth programs. The lower sticker price does not include a clinician evaluation, prescription or patient-specific pharmacy dispensing.
If cost is the problem, compare legitimate prescription programs on total cost or talk with a clinician about whether you need this treatment at all. Do not use a research-use product on yourself.
Is sermorelin worth the cost? What the evidence actually shows
Small, older human studies of growth-hormone-releasing hormone analogs found that treatment can raise growth hormone and IGF-1. Some studies reported modest body-composition changes, but results for strength, sleep and physical function were limited or inconsistent. Major endocrine guidance does not support growth-hormone-axis drugs as routine anti-aging treatment.
This is the section seller pages skip. Here's what was actually studied:
What the experts say:
- The Endocrine Society's scientific statement on hormones and aging says no therapy that increases growth hormone secretion or action is approved as an anti-aging intervention and that available studies have not shown benefits that justify routine use in normal aging.
- Those statements are about aging and the growth-hormone axis. They do not establish that a compounded sermorelin product will improve a particular person's energy, libido, body composition, sleep or quality of life.
That's real money for a maybe.
What sermorelin isn't:
- Not TRT.
- Not HGH.
- Not an FDA-approved weight-loss drug.
- Not an FDA-approved anti-aging treatment.

Sermorelin vs. TRT: which one are you actually shopping for?
Sermorelin and testosterone therapy aren't substitutes. Sermorelin acts on the growth-hormone axis; testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) replaces testosterone. If fatigue, low libido or another nonspecific symptom is why you started searching, get the symptom evaluated first; when hypogonadism is suspected, current guidelines require compatible symptoms or signs plus consistently low testosterone confirmed with repeat early-morning testing.
Many men find sermorelin through a TRT clinic that adds peptides or longevity treatments to its menu. That's worth pausing on.
The Endocrine Society recommends diagnosing hypogonadism only in men with symptoms and signs consistent with testosterone deficiency plus unequivocally and consistently low serum testosterone, confirmed by repeating a morning fasting total testosterone measurement. The AUA likewise requires two early-morning total testosterone measurements on separate occasions and says a low number alone does not make the clinical diagnosis.
If you're planning to have children, testosterone therapy deserves a separate fertility discussion because it can suppress sperm production. Read does TRT affect fertility before making a TRT decision.
If a hormone clinic offers sermorelin, ask three things:
- What problem are we trying to address?
- What evidence supports this treatment for that problem?
- How will we judge benefit, risk and whether continuing still makes sense?
Prefer to sort out the testosterone question first? Read how low testosterone is diagnosed or signs of low testosterone.
Do you need labs for sermorelin, and what do they cost?
Lab requirements vary by provider. Some online programs say lab testing is not required, while Hone Basic includes lab orders every six months. IGF-1 can reflect activity in the growth-hormone axis, but it does not by itself diagnose adult growth hormone deficiency and it does not prove that a treatment is improving symptoms or health outcomes.
What the providers we rechecked say:
Why IGF-1 needs context:
- It can show growth-hormone-axis activity. IGF-1 is influenced by growth hormone and is used in specialist evaluation and monitoring in several growth-hormone disorders.
- It cannot diagnose adult growth hormone deficiency by itself. Endocrine guidance uses clinical context and, when appropriate, formal stimulation testing.
- A change in IGF-1 is not the same thing as a proven improvement in how you feel or function.
Ask the prescribing clinician what testing is appropriate for your situation, what they are monitoring and what would make them continue, change or stop the plan. Do not self-diagnose from an IGF-1 result.
Side effects and who needs specialist care
The old Geref labeling came from different populations and products than today's compounded adult wellness programs, so its event rates should not be treated as modern adult incidence rates. Historical labeling did report injection-site reactions and other adverse effects.
Use a specialist-led evaluation rather than a quick wellness checkout if you have known pituitary disease, active cancer, a history that raises concern for recurrence, diabetes or significant glucose problems, or very abnormal hormone results. Those situations need diagnosis and risk assessment, not a peptide recommendation based on symptoms alone.
Get emergency care right away for signs of a serious allergic reaction, including trouble breathing or swelling of the face, lips or throat.
Does insurance cover sermorelin? Can you use an HSA or FSA?
Every online sermorelin program we checked is presented as cash-pay, and we did not find a current FDA-approved sermorelin product. That does not prove that every insurance plan will deny every claim, so do not treat a provider's cash price as an insurance determination. Check your own plan before assuming reimbursement.
HSA and FSA:
IRS rules focus on the purpose of the expense. Medical expenses generally must be primarily for the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment or prevention of disease; expenses that are merely beneficial to general health do not qualify.
- A prescription alone does not make every wellness expense automatically reimbursable.
- A provider's "HSA/FSA eligible" badge is not the final word on your tax-advantaged account.
- Your plan administrator may require documentation and can tell you what it will reimburse.
Budget as if you will pay the cash price unless your insurer or plan administrator confirms otherwise.
Can you cancel sermorelin, and will you get a refund?
Cancellation terms matter most when a lower monthly rate depends on a longer plan or when medication is sent to a pharmacy before you cancel. Several providers let you stop future renewals, but processed or shipped prescription medication may be nonrefundable. Read the policy before choosing a longer commitment.
Here's the simplest rule we can give you: compare the amount you could lose, not just the amount you could save. A lower plan rate is not a bargain if the commitment or refund rules do not fit you.
Sermorelin vs. HGH cost (and tesamorelin and ipamorelin)
Sermorelin, growth hormone, tesamorelin and ipamorelin are different drugs or substances and should not be compared by price per milligram. Sermorelin is a GHRH analog sold today through compounded prescription programs; FDA-approved somatropin and tesamorelin have different approved indications, evidence and regulatory status.
- HGH (somatropin): FDA-approved products exist for specific medical conditions. This is not the same medication as sermorelin.
- Tesamorelin (Egrifta WR): an FDA-approved GHRH analog for reduction of excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV and lipodystrophy. It is not approved as a general weight-loss or anti-aging drug.
- Ipamorelin and other peptide combinations: some clinics sell these with or instead of sermorelin. FDA's compounding safety materials identify ipamorelin acetate and certain other growth-hormone secretagogues as substances that may present significant safety risks in compounding.
A cheaper "stack" is not automatically a better deal. Compare the exact drug, formulation, evidence and care model—not just the milligram price.
What to ask before you pay for sermorelin
Before you pay, get the recurring price, every required fee, the billing cycle, any lab requirements, the plan commitment, the treatment format and the dispensing-pharmacy information in writing. If a provider cannot tell you which number is the promo and which is the normal price, you do not have a usable cost yet.
Copy these into the chat or email before checkout:
- What will I pay in month two, and every month after?
- What's the total charge today? Is this one month, or part of a longer plan?
- Is a membership or consult fee required on top of the medication?
- Do you require labs? Which tests, how often and what do they cost?
- What treatment format and medication quantity does this price cover, and which pharmacy will fill it?
- How do I cancel, how much notice do you need, and what's refundable if I stop?
- Who is my prescriber, and how do I reach the clinical team if I have a problem?
- Is the medication compounded? Is anything else mixed into the formulation?
- Is this treatment available in my state?
- How will we decide whether continuing is worthwhile?
If the answers come back vague, that's an answer too.
How we checked these sermorelin prices
On October 9, 2026, we rechecked the live public pricing, product, help-center and terms pages used for the providers named in this guide. We recorded published fees, applied promos only as stated and calculated a same-basis total only when the billing terms supported it. Where a number could not be supported, we removed the estimate instead of filling the gap.
This page follows the same evidence rules as How We Review TRT Providers. We keep four kinds of information separate:
- Verified facts: what we matched to the provider's current public page or a primary source on the date shown.
- Provider-stated facts: what a company says about its service that we have not independently tested.
- Customer-experience signals: attributed reports from real people, used only when they add decision value and never to prove medical outcomes or policy.
- Our editorial conclusions: clearly framed judgments based on the facts above.
We calculate complete cost instead of repeating a teaser price. We don't use an undisclosed dosing assumption to manufacture a monthly number.
What we actually verified
Date checked: October 9, 2026
Provider sources rechecked: current public pages for AgelessRx, Strut Health, Sermorelin.com, Hone Health, Taurus Meds, Maximus, TRT Nation, Harley Meds, Peter MD, Eden, Alpha Hormones and Rx Peps Direct / Cost Plus TRT.
Primary and high-authority sources checked: FDA and Federal Register records for Geref and drug compounding, DEA controlled-substance schedules, Endocrine Society and AUA testosterone guidance, IRS medical-expense guidance and the 2026 WADA prohibited list.
Confirmed in this verification:
- Current public prices and plan structures shown in the comparison table.
- AgelessRx's first-month and ongoing injection prices.
- Hone's current $130 member / $175 nonmember Async Care pricing and Basic membership costs.
- Sermorelin.com's recurring monthly subscription language.
- Harley Meds' conflicting $149 and $199 public prices.
- Peter MD's lack of a current public price on the page we could verify.
- FDA's historical Geref record and current rule that compounded drugs are not FDA-approved.
Still not publicly resolved:
- Taurus Meds' month-two sermorelin price and whether the general membership fee applies to a sermorelin-only patient.
- Eden's medication price after month one.
- The exact recurring price Harley Meds would charge a specific sermorelin patient.
- A monthly refill interval for Rx Peps Direct / Cost Plus TRT that would support a monthly or annual cost calculation.
What we didn't do: we didn't buy sermorelin, complete a paid checkout or test any product. This is a cost guide based on current public evidence, not a hands-on treatment review.
How we keep it current: recheck prices, plan terms and state availability at least monthly on this page; recheck FDA, DEA, tax and anti-doping rules when they change and during scheduled reviews. The "Last verified" date should change only after the material facts have actually been rechecked.
Sermorelin cost FAQ
How much does sermorelin cost per month?
Among the current U.S. online programs we could normalize, flat injection pricing starts at $119 a month and many recurring offers fall around $149 to $200. Some pages advertise $79 or $99 first-month prices that do not represent the ongoing rate.
How much does sermorelin cost per year?
It depends on the provider and whether the public terms are complete enough to calculate. Examples we can support include $1,428 for 12 months of Strut injections at $119/month, $1,738 for AgelessRx's current injection offer, $1,788–$2,388 at Sermorelin.com's stated monthly rates, and about $1,885 for Hone Basic plus member-priced sermorelin before optional consults.
How much is sermorelin per shot or per dose?
Most providers do not publish enough information to make a useful per-dose comparison, and the prescribed amount is a clinical decision. Compare total plan cost and medication quantity instead of using a dose calculation to choose treatment.
How much is a vial of sermorelin?
Rx Peps Direct / Cost Plus TRT currently lists $80 for a 15 mg vial plus a $39 provider review. The public page does not give a refill interval that lets us convert that into a reliable monthly price.
Why is sermorelin so expensive at some clinics?
Because the quoted number may cover more than medication. Memberships, clinician access, lab orders, shipping, support and plan length can all change the total. Some higher-priced listings are broad peptide programs rather than a sermorelin-only medication price.
What's the cheapest legitimate sermorelin?
For flat monthly injection pricing we could verify, Strut Health is $119/month. Rx Peps Direct / Cost Plus TRT posts a lower vial price, but we cannot convert it into a monthly total without assuming a prescription schedule or refill interval.
Is $200 a month a good price for sermorelin?
It is within the current range of several published programs, but the number alone does not tell you whether the plan is a good value. Check what it includes, whether it is month-to-month, what testing or memberships are required and what the medication quantity is.
Is cheap "research" sermorelin a safe way to save money?
No. A research-use-only product is not a patient prescription and should not be treated as a cheaper substitute for clinician-directed, pharmacy-dispensed care.
Is sermorelin covered by insurance?
The online programs we checked present sermorelin as cash-pay. We did not find a current FDA-approved sermorelin product, but only your insurer can determine whether a particular claim or expense is reimbursable under your plan.
Is sermorelin FSA or HSA eligible?
Possibly, depending on why the expense is incurred and your plan's rules. IRS guidance says medical expenses generally must be primarily for diagnosis, treatment or prevention of disease and excludes expenses that are merely beneficial to general health. Check with your plan administrator.
Is sermorelin FDA-approved?
No compounded sermorelin product is FDA-approved. Older Geref products containing sermorelin acetate were FDA-approved for specific diagnostic and pediatric uses, then discontinued; FDA later determined they were not withdrawn for reasons of safety or effectiveness.
Is sermorelin a steroid or a controlled substance?
It is not a steroid. Sermorelin does not appear on DEA's current controlled-substance list. Testosterone is different and is Schedule III.
Is oral sermorelin as good as injections?
We did not find product-specific human pharmacokinetic evidence showing that the current compounded oral or nasal products are equivalent to injected sermorelin. Do not assume equal absorption or effect from the fact that a provider sells both forms.
How long until I know if sermorelin is working?
There is no universal consumer timeline that proves benefit. Older studies were small and varied in duration, and changes in IGF-1 do not by themselves prove that symptoms or health outcomes improved. Ask the prescriber what outcome they expect to monitor and when the plan will be reassessed.
Does sermorelin raise testosterone?
Sermorelin is not testosterone therapy and is not a treatment for diagnosed testosterone deficiency. If low testosterone is suspected, major guidelines call for compatible symptoms or signs plus consistently low testosterone confirmed with repeat early-morning testing.
Is sermorelin banned in sports?
Yes. WADA's 2026 Prohibited List names sermorelin as prohibited at all times.
Is sermorelin available in every state?
No provider should be assumed to serve every state. Availability depends on the provider, prescriber and pharmacy. Maximus currently says sermorelin is available in every state except Alabama; other providers use their own state-availability rules. Confirm your state before paying.
Does Male Excel sell sermorelin?
We did not find a current public Male Excel sermorelin treatment on October 9, 2026, so Male Excel is not included as a sermorelin provider in this guide.
