TRT Kingdom Alternatives: Where to Go Instead (and When to Stay)

The best TRT Kingdom alternative depends on why you're leaving. Compare TRT Kingdom alternatives by need: Male Excel for no annual contract, Hone Health for testing, AlphaMD or TRT Nation for price. Kingdom advertises $79 a month on a 12-month plan, but its full costs remain unclear. Insurance and fertility plans can change your route.

So the real question isn't "who's cheaper?" It's "what am I willing to pay to fix the thing that's bugging me?" That's what this page answers.

This page is for you if: you're an adult man being evaluated or treated for testosterone deficiency, have a TRT Kingdom quote or plan, and want to see what else is out there before you pay (or pay again).

Start with your care needs if: you want to have kids soon, low testosterone has not been properly evaluated, or you want insurance to pay. Those are covered further down. A cheaper subscription can't solve them.

This page is educational information, not medical advice. It doesn't diagnose low testosterone or tell you to start, stop, or change any treatment. If you have chest pain, trouble breathing, sudden weakness, or another emergency, call 911.

TRT Provider Guide is the independent decision resource for testosterone replacement therapy — helping U.S. adults understand how low testosterone is evaluated, compare online and local care models and providers, and choose the next step that fits their health needs, fertility plans, budget, state, and care preferences, with every material claim verified and dated.

How we make money: TRT Provider Guide has commercial relationships with Male Excel, Hone Health, and Taurus Meds and may earn commissions through labeled paid links. The provider information and source links on this page open public information and are not paid tracking links. Separate labeled Male Excel referral links use affiliate tracking. We still tell you when another provider or care route may fit better. Read our affiliate disclosure.

Which TRT Kingdom alternative fits your reason for leaving?

Different alternatives address different problems: Male Excel offers no annual contract, Hone publishes a confirming-test step before TRT, and AlphaMD and TRT Nation have lower advertised rates than some options here. For insurance or a specific FDA-approved product, check an in-network clinician and the dispensing pharmacy. Find your reason in the table, then jump to that section.

TRT Kingdom alternatives table 1: Which TRT Kingdom alternative fits your reason for leaving?
If you're leaving or skipping Kingdom because… Look at Why What you give up
You want no annual contract Male Excel Cancel-anytime membership and one dedicated provider, according to Male Excel Membership and medicine cost extra; medicine is billed in 60-day supplies, and completed purchases generally are not refundable
You want alternatives to an annual payment AlphaMD or TRT Nation AlphaMD: $129 paid monthly with a 3-month commitment; TRT Nation: $99.99 monthly rate with a 2.5-month minimum purchase Both still have a minimum commitment
You want to inspect a published confirmation process Hone Health It describes a second confirming test before TRT Membership and medicine are billed separately; the confirmation fee needs checking
You want to investigate the advertised $49 test Taurus Meds $49 test-and-consult offer; $149/month advertised if prescribed Payment before the clinician call, refund terms, and a possible additional fee need answers before payment
You want insurance or an FDA-approved product Your doctor, a urologist, or an endocrinologist A practical place to check network coverage and an exact medicine Appointment availability, coverage, and out-of-pocket cost need checking
You want kids soon A urologist or reproductive urologist Testosterone can lower or stop sperm production Fertility evaluation may change the treatment choice
Kingdom won't say if it serves your state The state table Three alternatives publish their lists Confirm your location and current program before paying
Nothing above is a dealbreaker Stay with Kingdom Its $79 monthly rate is worth checking against your written quote Confirm lab charges and billing; no guaranteed refund for unused prepaid months

The right TRT provider is not the same for every person — it depends on whether low testosterone has been properly evaluated, your symptoms and health history, your fertility plans, your state, your insurance or cash-pay preference, your treatment-format preference, your budget, and whether online or in-person care is the better starting point. Some situations belong with primary care, urology, endocrinology, reproductive urology, or urgent or emergency care when the symptoms warrant it. Because a general answer cannot resolve those for you, use TRT Provider Guide's Find My TRT Path tool to map your situation to the right care route and the questions to ask before you pay.

More than one row sounds like you? That's normal. Map your TRT care route with Find My TRT Path → It's free. It's educational, not a diagnosis, and it doesn't approve anyone for treatment.

How much do TRT Kingdom alternatives cost in the first year?

Kingdom's advertised $79 monthly rate works out to $948 over 12 months, before any required charges that its public pages leave unresolved. The figures below are published-rate calculations and known subtotals, not complete first-year quotes. Minimum purchases, billing dates, and required tests can change the cash you need.

Every provider shows a monthly price, but the packages differ: labs, membership, medicine, or how long you're locked in. We show published starting rates and known fees, with missing costs labeled. This is our calculation from the linked provider pages, checked October 13, 2026; it is not a ranking of complete treatment costs.

TRT Kingdom alternatives table 2: How much do TRT Kingdom alternatives cost in the first year?
Option Published charges 12-month rate calculation or known subtotal Commitment and cancellation Labs
TRT Kingdom, 12-month plan $79/mo; medicine, shipping, supplies included, per its TRT page $948 plan-rate calculation + unresolved required charges 12-month plan; confirm amount due upfront and renewal terms; no guaranteed prorated refund Kingdom's pages disagree (see below)
TRT Kingdom, 2.5-month plan $99/mo $1,188 annualized plan rate + unresolved required charges 2.5-month plan; confirm payment and renewal schedule Same
AlphaMD, annual $98/mo + $49 consult; medicine and supplies included $1,225 treatment-plus-consult subtotal, plus later labs Yes, 12 months; confirm refund terms First labs covered; later panels extra
AlphaMD, monthly $129/mo + $49 consult $1,597 treatment-plus-consult subtotal, plus later labs 3-month minimum Same
TRT Nation $99.99/mo; medicine and supplies included; no membership fee $1,199.88 annualized treatment + actual lab costs; $1,586.88 with three $129 panels 2.5-month minimum purchase; refills requested manually $129 per clinic panel; qualifying outside results may be accepted
Taurus Meds $49 test + consult, then $149/mo advertised $1,837 advertised-component subtotal; extra-fee and service questions unresolved Auto-renewal; cancellation at least 72 hours before billing; confirm paid term Starting test advertised; full monitoring charges unresolved
Hone Health (Plus) $45 initial test + confirmation + $135/mo membership + medicine $1,710 or $1,715 before medicine, using conflicting at-lab confirmation fees; $2,430 or $2,435 with estimated $60/mo cream Cancel-anytime membership; prescription orders handled separately Follow-up labs included; confirmation-fee conflict below
Male Excel $99 consult and home test + $99/mo membership + injection-and-thyroid bundle from $120/mo $2,727 starting-rate subtotal + shipping; $2,871 starting-rate subtotal + shipping with the cream-and-thyroid bundle No annual contract; 60-day medication purchases; completed purchases generally nonrefundable Testing every 6 months included, per its homepage; confirm any extra required tests
Local doctor + insurance Visit copays, lab fees, pharmacy copay or cash prices Depends on your plan Depends on the practice Confirm network coverage and required tests

How we did the math: published start fees plus 12 months of published monthly prices. We used published starting prices without individualized prescription changes or optional add-ons. For Hone, the injectable medicine is listed "from $28 per vial," but that listing does not establish a month's supply, so we left it out rather than guess. These are estimates, not quotes.

An annualized rate is not necessarily the cash paid in the first 365 days. Kingdom's 2.5-month plan and TRT Nation's minimum purchases do not divide neatly into a year; confirm actual order prices and payment dates. Male Excel describes 60-day supplies, so six supplies cover 360 days, not 365. Its two modeled bundles include thyroid medication; that does not mean you need it. Outside labs can also cost money, and three TRT Nation panels are a scenario, not a maximum or a testing recommendation.

Sources: Kingdom plans and lab FAQ; AlphaMD prices and consultation fee; TRT Nation pricing and labs; Taurus offer and terms; Hone Plus fees; Male Excel pricing.

Three things this table tells you:

  1. Kingdom's longer plans have lower advertised monthly rates. The exact prescription still matters: AlphaMD, for example, lists both testosterone cypionate and testosterone enanthate. Compare the formulation as well as the payment terms. AlphaMD treatment details.
  2. Lower advertised rates can come with a minimum commitment. AlphaMD's $98 rate needs annual payment. TRT Nation has a 2.5-month minimum purchase. Hone and Male Excel bill membership monthly; Male Excel's medicine is billed every other month.
  3. Labs are where the surprise bills hide. Kingdom's own pages contradict each other on lab fees. TRT Nation charges $129 a panel. Male Excel and Hone build follow-up labs into the membership.

What we actually verified

When: October 13, 2026.

What we read: TRT Kingdom's testosterone page, product page, FAQ, refund policy, terms, telehealth consent, and site footer. Male Excel's pricing page, FAQ, homepage, home-test page, general terms, and guarantee terms. Hone Health's Plus membership, lab schedule, retesting, outside-lab, pharmacy-choice, state-availability, cancellation, and testosterone pages. TRT Nation's homepage, both FAQs, testosterone page, lab-order page, and cancellation policy. AlphaMD's pricing, treatment, pharmacy, terms, and member-help pages. Taurus Meds' offer, terms, and refund pages. The Endocrine Society guideline summary, AUA-issued recommendations and guideline directory, and the FDA, DEA, and federal regulatory sources linked below.

Confirmed on company websites: the listed public rates and fees, not complete patient-specific totals. Kingdom's strict refund page and discretionary-refund exception in its terms. Male Excel's 11 excluded states, no annual contract, dedicated-provider claim, and included six-month testing. Hone's confirming-test step, 35-state Plus list, and cancel-anytime membership. TRT Nation's published exclusion lists disagree about North Dakota; its 2.5-month minimum and manual refills are documented.

What that means: prices and service descriptions are provider-stated. We verified the text of the documents, not whether a particular patient receives every advertised service. The calculations and fit judgments are ours; displayed customer comments are individual experience signals.

What companies say that we didn't test: response times, shipping speed, visit length, how guarantees are actually handled.

What we didn't do: sign up, pay, or receive medicine from any provider. We did not test support, cancellation, a patient checkout, or the licenses of an assigned clinician or pharmacy.

What we couldn't settle: Kingdom's treatment-specific lab charges and payment schedule; comparable complete state lists for Kingdom, AlphaMD, and Taurus; TRT Nation's North Dakota status; Hone's conflicting confirmation fees; and Taurus's full fee, payment, and refund terms. Ask these before you pay.

Should you stay with TRT Kingdom instead?

Maybe: if your care meets your needs and Kingdom's written quote works for you, a switch may not solve anything. Its 12-month plan has a low advertised rate, but its full required cost remains unresolved. If you've already prepaid, an early switch has no guaranteed refund for unused months.

Here's the part a lot of "alternatives" pages won't say: if price is all you care about, you may not need an alternative.

Kingdom's 12-month plan is $79 a month. Its plan includes testosterone cypionate, shipping, supplies, provider oversight, and an account rep. Its testosterone page says labs are included and run through Labcorp. It takes HSA and FSA cards. Clinical care comes from a separate medical group, REM Health Medical Group, P.A. Its displayed reviews include praise for how fast support answers. These are company-hosted comments, not measured response times. Kingdom's published service and reviews.

Stay with Kingdom only if your clinician considers the care appropriate and all of these are true:

  • Your clinician has properly evaluated the diagnosis and current treatment.
  • You understand the plan length and payment terms, including what happens if clinical needs change.
  • Kingdom has confirmed in writing that it serves your state.
  • You're fine with compounded medicine (more on that below).
  • You're not trying to have kids soon.

Leave or skip Kingdom if your quoted commitment itself is the problem. Kingdom's refund policy says it can't issue refunds, all sales are final, and consultation payments are non-refundable. Its terms nevertheless allow refunds at the company's discretion; neither document guarantees a prorated refund for unused months. Refund policy · Terms.

A testimonial attributed to Ajae Jimenez on Kingdom's site, dated October 2026, says: "You will need to pay for the entire plan up front." But the same testimonial names TRT Nation, so we cannot use it to establish Kingdom's payment terms. Displayed testimonial.

Kingdom's lab fee: two answers on one website

Kingdom's testosterone page says labs are "included in your plan." Its FAQ says that for some treatments, lab testing is required every 6 months at $149. We could not establish whether that fee applies to the testosterone plan or how many separately charged panels a new patient would need. TRT page · FAQ.

That testimonial also reports $50 associated with outside labs and a $100 doctor fee. Because it names a different provider, we cannot attribute those charges to Kingdom. Before you pay, ask Kingdom: "Which initial and follow-up tests are included in my testosterone plan, when does the $149 fee apply, and are there any required charges beyond the quoted plan price?"

Already prepaid? Do this math first

Kingdom does not promise a refund for unused months. The table below illustrates an earlier payment if you paid the full plan upfront and receive no refund; it is not a forecast of what Kingdom will return.

TRT Kingdom alternatives table 3: Already prepaid? Do this math first
Your Kingdom plan Assumed upfront payment Value allocated to unused months after month 4
12 months at $79 $948 $632 (8 unused months)
6 months at $89 $534 $178 (2 unused months)

This is an allocation of an earlier payment, not another bill caused by switching. Budget the new provider's charges separately, and do not count an expected refund as available cash until received.

Our advice: check your renewal and cancellation dates, then coordinate the timing of care with both clinicians. Request your records and ask the receiving clinic what it needs before assuming it can take over. If something is wrong, like side effects or a medicine problem, contact your prescriber right away. Don't wait out a plan for that.

The date that matters for any 12-month plan

A 12-month plan bought in October 2026 runs into late 2027. The current federal temporary rule permits qualifying telemedicine prescribing without a prior in-person visit through December 31, 2026, subject to federal and state requirements. That rule alone does not settle the requirements after that date. If you prepay into 2027, ask in writing: "What happens to my care and my unused months if the telehealth rules change?" Current federal provision.

Male Excel: an alternative if you want no annual contract

Male Excel describes a cancel-anytime membership, no annual contract, and one provider who stays with you. Its membership includes 60-day assessments and lab testing every 6 months. Its initial fee, membership, and starting injection-and-thyroid bundle produce a $2,727 annualized subtotal plus shipping, while medication is bought in 60-day supplies.

Let's get the hard part out of the way first.

Male Excel does not have Kingdom's price. Its published starting subtotal is higher, though Kingdom's complete cost remains unresolved. If the lowest annual bill is your top priority, compare written quotes for Kingdom's 12-month plan and AlphaMD's annual plan before choosing.

Male Excel skips the annual contract, not advance payment for medicine. You pay $99 a month for membership. Medicine comes in 60-day supplies, billed every other month. You can cancel future renewals; discuss treatment changes with your prescriber. Completed purchases generally are not refundable, except where separate written terms apply. If you prepay Kingdom, an early switch has no guaranteed prorated refund. Male Excel pricing · Terms.

For refill changes, Male Excel's FAQ describes a reminder and a 48-hour response window before billing and shipping. Ask how that applies to canceling your next order. Refill and billing FAQ.

Here's what the extra money buys, per Male Excel's own pages:

  • One provider, not a rotation. Male Excel says your care stays with a single dedicated provider.
  • Built-in check-ins. Provider reviews every 60 days, with unlimited support-team messaging and provider e-visits. An assessment is not necessarily a live appointment.
  • Labs on a schedule. Its membership includes comprehensive blood testing every 6 months.
  • A limited refund if it doesn't help. Male Excel's guarantee lets eligible new members request a refund of their first three months of membership fees if symptoms don't improve after 90 days of following the plan. You have to request it within 30 days after that period and show you followed the plan. It covers membership fees only, not medicine. Claims are reviewed against the guarantee's conditions. Guarantee terms.
  • More than one format. Its posted bundles pair testosterone cypionate injections (from $120 a month) or a testosterone cream (from $132 a month) with thyroid medication. Membership is separate. Pricing · Formulations.

Four things to settle before paying Male Excel

These can change whether Male Excel fits you. You should know them before paying.

  1. Its packages include a thyroid medicine. Male Excel's standard packages pair testosterone with a desiccated thyroid tablet. Ask what diagnosis supports it and what happens to the price if it is not appropriate for you.
  2. It may prescribe before your labs come back. Male Excel's homepage says its providers can prescribe based on symptoms and history before lab results arrive "when clinically appropriate." Male Excel says its labs help establish baseline levels and guide ongoing treatment. Ask how that process differs for new diagnoses and transfers, and how the clinician will confirm the diagnosis before prescribing. Hone Health publishes a confirming-test step you can compare.
  3. Its testosterone is compounded. Male Excel's site says its compounded medicines are not FDA-approved. Its marketing calls them "bioidentical"; that label does not establish FDA approval. Its FAQ names Anazao Health Corp. and WellDyneRx-Fl as pharmacies; ask which pharmacy would fill each prescribed medicine.
  4. It doesn't serve 11 states, and Male Excel says DEA and state laws may require an in-person exam in some cases. See the state table.

Hone Health: an alternative with a published two-test start

Hone Health publishes an initial test and a second confirming test before TRT. Its Plus membership is $135 a month, with follow-up labs and consults included and medicine billed separately. You can cancel the membership anytime; confirmation fees and any pending medicine orders need separate attention.

For adult men being evaluated for testosterone deficiency, guidelines don't diagnose low testosterone from one number. The Endocrine Society says it takes symptoms plus consistently low testosterone, confirmed by repeating a morning fasting test. The American Urological Association uses two separate early-morning total testosterone tests and also requires symptoms or signs. Endocrine Society guidance · AUA-issued recommendations.

Kingdom's testosterone page describes "a simple blood test" that confirms low testosterone "below 300 ng/dL." That wording alone does not establish Kingdom's full diagnostic process, and 300 ng/dL is not a universal diagnosis by itself. Hone explicitly publishes a second test in its TRT onboarding process, making that step easier to check before you pay. Kingdom's wording · Hone's process.

How Hone's Plus path works:

TRT Kingdom alternatives table 5: Hone Health: an alternative with a published two-test start
Step What happens Cost
1. Starting test At-home kit with 8 markers, including total testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG (a protein that holds onto testosterone), and LH (a pituitary hormone that signals the testicles to make testosterone) $45
2. Doctor visit Live video visit with a licensed Hone physician Included
3. Confirming test (TRT only) A second total testosterone, plus hematocrit (the percentage of your blood volume made up of red blood cells), PSA (a prostate marker), and prolactin Plus page: $45 at a lab; linked lab schedule: $50 at a lab; $80 at home
4. Membership Treatment management, follow-up labs and consults $135/mo
Medicine Testosterone cypionate from $28 per vial; cream estimated at $60/mo Billed separately

Year one before medicine: $1,710 using the Plus page's $45 at-lab confirmation fee, or $1,715 using the lab schedule's $50 fee. With estimated $60-a-month cream, that's $2,430 or $2,435. These assume 12 monthly membership payments and one initial and one confirming test; they are not patient-specific quotes.

Hone's general retesting article also says confirmatory testing has no extra charge, which conflicts with both fee pages. Ask which charge applies to your start or transfer before paying. Qualifying outside results from the past 90 days may be accepted if all required markers are present, but Hone says you still must buy its initial test-and-consultation package.

Sources: Plus membership, lab schedule, retesting policy, and outside-lab policy. Lab definitions: LH and hematocrit.

Good to know:

  • It's month-to-month. You can cancel anytime, and you can pause for up to 3 months. There are no refunds for partial months.
  • Canceling your membership doesn't stop pending medicine shipments. Contact support separately about pending orders; processed or shipped medication orders cannot be canceled or refunded. Confirm the membership end date and next shipment charge. Cancellation policy.
  • Its linked testosterone products are compounded. Hone's product pages say so plainly; an outside-pharmacy prescription is a separate option to ask about. Product disclosure · Pharmacy choice.
  • Plus covers 35 states. Not New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or several others. See the state table.
  • Not everyone loves it. A testimonial attributed to Walid Ekhlas on Kingdom's site, dated May 2026, says Hone "could be a month backed up" for doctor appointments. That's one customer's report, shown on a competitor's site. Still, ask about current visit wait times. Displayed testimonial.

AlphaMD: annual and monthly payment choices

AlphaMD's annual plan is $98 a month with medicine and supplies included, plus a $49 consult. That gives a $1,225 treatment-plus-consult subtotal before later labs. It also offers a $129 monthly plan with a 3-month minimum.

If you like Kingdom's model but want a different company, this is an option to compare.

  • Plans: $98/mo paid yearly (12-month commitment), $109/mo paid every 6 months, or $129/mo paid monthly (3-month commitment). Veterans and first responders get 20% off.
  • Labs: AlphaMD says your first labs are covered through its lab partner. Its help pages say later panels cost extra.
  • Support: AlphaMD's help pages describe routine support by email and patient portal, without phone support. Ask separately how you reach the prescribing clinician. Account help.
  • Medicine: AlphaMD lists testosterone cypionate and testosterone enanthate. It names Wells Pharmacy, AnazaoHealth, and Empower Pharmacy as pharmacy partners and says a local pharmacy may be used in some cases. Ask which pharmacy and exact product would be yours. Treatment details · Pharmacy disclosure.
  • States: We did not verify a complete public state list. Confirm yours before you pay.

The catch: AlphaMD's $98 rate requires a 12-month commitment. Its monthly plan still runs 3 months minimum. That does not establish the same refund terms as Kingdom. Recurring subscriptions renew until canceled by the cutoff shown at checkout or in your account. Clinical fees generally become nonrefundable once clinical work occurs; a membership-fee refund within 72 hours applies only if no services were requested or provided. The terms do not promise a prorated refund for unused prepaid months. Terms.

TRT Nation: lean, low-cost, no membership fee

TRT Nation charges $99.99 a month with medicine and supplies included and no membership fee, sold in 2.5-month minimum purchases. Labs are $129 a panel, or qualifying outside results may be accepted. Refills aren't automatic, and its policy reserves the right to refuse refunds.

TRT Nation is a separate company from TRT Kingdom.

  • Price: $99.99 a month, sold in 2.5-month minimums. California pricing may differ.
  • Labs: $129 for its TRT panel: total testosterone, CBC (blood-cell count), CMP (blood chemistry), estradiol, and PSA when required. Its current FAQ says it may accept relevant outside labs, typically drawn within the past 120 days; its homepage says up to 6 months. Ask which age limit and markers apply. Lab orders · Current FAQ · Homepage FAQ.
  • Refills: you request each one yourself. TRT Nation says it will not refill automatically. Its 2026 FAQ allows requests as early as week 8; confirm your request date, lab requirements, and expected delivery. Refill policy · Refill FAQ.
  • Refunds: its policy reserves a no-refund, no-return rule on all purchases.
  • States: its published lists exclude Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Missouri, and Hawaii. They disagree about North Dakota; confirm directly. Minimum age is 24. Homepage · 2026 FAQ.

A testimonial attributed to Alex Starks on TRT Nation's own site says: "Consults are short — not a hand-holding clinic — but that's why it's cheap." That is one person's account, not measured visit length or proof of why the price is lower. Ask how follow-up visits and clinical questions are handled. Displayed testimonial.

Year one: the annualized treatment rate is $1,199.88, plus actual lab costs. Three $129 panels would bring that calculation to $1,586.88; this is an example, not an upper limit. Its 2.5-month minimum purchases can change cash paid within the year.

TRT Nation describes a blood test after the first 10 weeks, a later six-month checkpoint, and annual monitoring thereafter. Its two FAQs measure that six-month checkpoint differently, so ask your clinician for the actual dates. The three-panel cost example is not a testing schedule. Current FAQ · 2026 FAQ.

Compared with Kingdom: TRT Nation's 2.5-month monthly rate ($99.99) is almost the same as Kingdom's 2.5-month rate ($99). It doesn't beat Kingdom's advertised 12-month rate. Kingdom also advertises a 2.5-month option and no membership fee; Nation's separate lab charges and manual refills are the useful differences to check. Kingdom plans · Kingdom inclusions · Nation refill policy.

Taurus Meds: a $49 first step

Taurus Meds advertises a $49 blood test and consultation, then medicine at $149 a month. Those components add up to $1,837 over 12 months, but its offer and general terms disagree about fees and refunds. Get those answers before treating $49 as a low-risk trial or $1,837 as a complete bill.

Taurus's entry price is low. The payment terms need more work: its offer FAQ describes paying for medication after completing labs but before the clinician call. Ask what is charged at each step and exactly what comes back if treatment is not prescribed.

  • Start: $49 for a blood test at Labcorp or Quest, plus a video consult. If you live more than 50 miles from a lab, Taurus says it sends a home kit.
  • Ongoing: $149 a month for medicine, per the offer page. It does not specify the exact formulation or medication quantity included at that price.
  • Guarantee: Taurus advertises a refund if you do not see results within 90 days, minus lab and pharmacy fees. That is a results window, not a promise that a refund arrives within 90 days. Ask for the applicable claim rules in writing.
  • Medicine: the offer page says its hormones are compounded "specifically for The Excel Advantage HRT program." That's the same program name Male Excel uses; the wording does not establish a relationship between the providers. Ask Taurus which medical group and pharmacy handle your care.

Taurus's terms name OpenLoop Health as a management-services partner and list RedRock Pharmacy, Health Warehouse, Precision Compounding Pharmacy, and Triad Rx as pharmacy partners. They do not identify which pharmacy would fill the $149 TRT offer. Published partner disclosures.

What to confirm before payment: how long the $149 price runs, what medicine and monitoring it includes, and when the plan renews. The offer says no membership fees, but section 28 of Taurus's general terms lists $17.99 per billing period unless the purchase terms say otherwise; a billing period is not established as one month. The offer promises a refund if you are not eligible, while section 8 says blood-test fees are nonrefundable once paid. Ask which terms control your order.

Its refund policy requires cancellation at least 72 hours before billing; later requests can incur the next cycle's charge. Also note the offer page has copy errors, like describing a pill as an injection. Read the product details closely. Offer · Terms · Refund policy.

When a local doctor is the better TRT Kingdom alternative

If you want insurance to pay, need a specific FDA-approved product, or have a complicated health history, a primary care doctor, urologist, or endocrinologist can be a practical starting point. The listed subscriptions are cash-pay, but an outside-pharmacy prescription is another option some online services allow. Coverage depends on your insurer, prescriber, pharmacy, and exact product.

Go local if any of these fit:

  • You want insurance to cover it. Ask your insurer about its diagnosis, test, and prior-approval requirements. Hone allows an outside pharmacy, but its membership remains cash-pay and it does not handle prior authorizations. Hone insurance policy · Pharmacy choice.
  • You want an FDA-approved product. FDA-approved generic testosterone cypionate exists. An appropriate prescriber can send a prescription to a retail pharmacy; confirm the exact product and stock. FDA approval record.
  • You have a complicated history. Examples include prostate or breast cancer, a recent heart attack or stroke, untreated sleep apnea, high red blood cell counts, or pituitary or testicular problems. These need individual clinical assessment. Endocrine Society guidance.
  • You want hands-on care. That means a physical exam and labs at your own clinic.

The tradeoff: appointment availability, insurance paperwork, and practice policies can affect access. A local doctor also may not continue another clinic's plan as-is.

Ask before you book: "Do you treat low testosterone? Are you in my network? What will the visits, labs, and medicine cost me?"

Which TRT Kingdom alternatives serve your state?

Male Excel lists 11 excluded states, and Hone Health's Plus plan lists 35 covered states. TRT Nation's public lists disagree about North Dakota. If you live in Alabama, Alaska, or Arkansas, none of these three programs is listed as available in your state.

We matched each provider's published state list. This table shows only states where at least one alternative is missing.

In Alabama, Alaska, or Arkansas? Ask AlphaMD and Taurus directly, or start with a local doctor. Your U.S. state not in this table? The published lists used here do not exclude it; confirm the current program before paying. Check Washington, D.C., and U.S. territories separately.

A state being "served" doesn't guarantee you'll be treated. Ask whether an in-person exam is required. HHS licensure guidance.

Are these alternatives compounded or FDA-approved?

The disclosures below describe compounded options; ask about your exact prescription. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. If you want an FDA-approved testosterone product, ask an appropriate prescriber and dispensing pharmacy which exact product they can provide.

Two terms, in plain English:

  • FDA-approved means the FDA reviewed the product itself for safety, effectiveness, and quality before it could be sold.
  • Compounded means a drug has been specially prepared, often for an individual patient; this can occur in a pharmacy or certain other settings. The FDA does not review compounded drugs that way. Same ingredient name doesn't mean same product. FDA explanation.
TRT Kingdom alternatives table 7: Are these alternatives compounded or FDA-approved?
Option What it says about its testosterone
TRT Kingdom Its testosterone page describes a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy; footer says compounded drugs aren't FDA-approved; assigned pharmacy not verified
Male Excel Its listed compounded medicines are not FDA-approved; confirm the exact formulation and dispensing pharmacy
Hone Health Linked cypionate and cream product pages disclose compounding and no FDA approval; an outside-pharmacy route may be available
Taurus Meds Its $49 offer describes compounding, while another intake page claims FDA-approved medication; exact product and pharmacy need confirmation
AlphaMD Names compounding-pharmacy partners and allows local pharmacies in some cases; confirm the exact product and pharmacy
TRT Nation Current FAQ explicitly says U.S. compounding pharmacies; assigned pharmacy not verified
Local doctor + pharmacy FDA-approved generic options exist; confirm that the actual dispensed product is approved

Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance in the U.S. That means it always needs a valid prescription from a licensed clinician, whichever route you choose. The prescription must meet applicable prescribing requirements. DEA scheduling · Federal prescription standard.

One question to ask any provider: "Is my testosterone compounded? Which pharmacy fills it?" Ask for the exact product, concentration, pharmacy name, and state license details in the written quote; a provider's pharmacy claim is not an independent license check.

What if fertility is the reason you're looking?

If you want kids in the near future, see a urologist or reproductive urologist before choosing any TRT program. Testosterone therapy can lower or stop sperm production, and the American Urological Association advises against prescribing it to men trying to conceive. Drugs like hCG and enclomiphene are not the same as TRT.

Here's why it matters. Testosterone from outside the body can suppress LH and FSH, the pituitary hormones involved in testosterone and sperm production. Sperm production (doctors call it spermatogenesis) can drop sharply or stop.

You'll see some programs offer add-ons or "fertility-friendly" options. Kingdom, TRT Nation, and AlphaMD all list hCG or enclomiphene. Some of their pages say these "preserve fertility." Here's what you should know:

  • They are not TRT. They work differently, and they aren't interchangeable with testosterone.
  • Compounded enclomiphene is not FDA-approved.
  • Clomiphene is FDA-approved for certain ovulation problems in women who want to become pregnant. Using it in men is off-label, meaning a use the FDA has not approved.
  • hCG: FDA-approved products such as Pregnyl have specific male indications. Pregnyl's label does not list adding it to TRT to preserve fertility.
  • No add-on guarantees your fertility is protected or comes back.

A specialist can test your sperm, explain your options, and plan around your timeline. That's worth more than any subscription.

Sources: Endocrine Society, AUA-issued recommendations, AUA/ASRM male-infertility guidance, FDA compounding guidance, clomiphene label, and Pregnyl label.

How do you organize a switch from TRT Kingdom?

Coordinate the timing with your current and receiving clinicians while checking both clinics' billing deadlines. Get your records and recent labs first, and ask who will handle your care and prescriptions during the transition. Never stop or change your treatment on your own; your prescriber decides that.

Step by step:

  1. Find your dates. Write down your Kingdom plan end date, renewal and cancellation deadlines, next lab date, and refill request date.
  2. Get your records. Ask for your visit notes and lab results. Kingdom's telehealth consent says transfer requests go to support@trtkingdom.com with your consent and the receiving provider's name, address, and phone number. Ask for the secure transfer process. Records-transfer terms.
  3. Check the new provider's rules. Make sure it serves your state. Ask whether it accepts outside labs and how recent they must be.
  4. Book early. Ask the receiving clinic how long its intake and review require, and coordinate that timing with your current prescriber. New-patient setup takes time.
  5. Share everything. Tell your new clinician your current medicine, dose, and any add-ons. They decide the plan, which may differ from Kingdom's.
  6. Manage billing and care separately. Confirm the cancellation cutoff so another renewal is not triggered while you arrange care, and check any pending medicine orders. Save your cancellation confirmation.

Records help your new clinician, but they don't guarantee your prescription continues. Each prescriber makes their own decision.

I'm comparing your program with TRT Kingdom. For my state, please give me an itemized first-year quote: start fees, required tests, membership, medicine, follow-up visits, shipping, and any other required fees. What is due today, how long is the minimum commitment, and when does it renew? What records and tests do you need from me? Who is my clinician, and which pharmacy fills my prescription? Is my testosterone compounded or FDA-approved? If I cancel, what can still be charged, and is anything refundable?

Write the answers next to Kingdom's terms. If a number stays blank, don't count it as free.

Will online TRT still work after December 31, 2026?

The current temporary rule does not settle what will apply after December 31, 2026. Through that date, qualifying DEA-registered clinicians can prescribe controlled substances like testosterone by telemedicine without a prior in-person evaluation if the rule's conditions and other applicable requirements are met. Any 12-month plan bought now runs past that date.

What this means for you:

  • The effect depends on the prescribing arrangement and applicable federal and state requirements.
  • Some providers already note that an in-person exam may be needed in some states. Male Excel's site says this directly.
  • If you prepay into 2027, ask what happens to unused months if rules change.

We'll update this section when the rule changes. Current sources: 21 CFR 1307.41 and HHS controlled-substance telehealth guidance.

How we compared TRT Kingdom alternatives

We used our published method, How We Review TRT Providers. We checked the providers' public pricing, policies, and FAQs on October 13, 2026, and calculated published-rate subtotals with missing costs identified. Provider statements, our calculations, individual customer reports, and editorial judgments are separate kinds of evidence.

  • Who's included: our commercial partners (Male Excel, Hone Health, Taurus Meds), other programs with comparable payment models (AlphaMD, TRT Nation), and the local insurance route. Kingdom is the baseline.
  • What we don't do: we don't give star ratings or medical scores. Being listed isn't an endorsement.
  • Customer quotes: these are attributable comments displayed on provider websites, not independently verified patient histories or typical outcomes. They don't prove safety, results, or policy; we did not verify whether the quoted reviewers had material relationships with those providers.

Read the full method: How We Review TRT Providers. Our editorial standards, privacy policy, and corrections process explain how this resource works.

What we couldn't settle

  • Kingdom labs: its testosterone page says included; its FAQ says $149 every 6 months for some treatments.
  • Kingdom payment: the product page lists plan lengths and monthly rates; the testimonial used for upfront-payment and extra-fee claims names a different provider. Get your amount due, renewal terms, and included fees in writing.
  • Taurus fees and refunds: its offer and general terms disagree; the $17.99 fee is per billing period unless purchase terms override it.
  • Hone confirmation: its Plus page says $45 at a lab, its lab schedule says $50, and general retesting guidance says no extra charge.
  • State lists: we did not verify complete comparable lists for Kingdom, AlphaMD, or Taurus. TRT Nation's North Dakota status remains disputed by its own pages.

If any of these matter to you, get the answer in writing before you pay.

TRT Kingdom alternatives: FAQ

The right alternative depends on the problem you need to solve: billing, clinical follow-up, testing, product choice, or insurance. Confirm the costs and care requirements that apply to you before changing providers.

What is better than TRT Kingdom?

It depends on what you want to change. For no annual contract and a provider-stated dedicated clinician, compare Male Excel. For a published confirming-test process, compare Hone Health. For other low advertised rates, compare AlphaMD or TRT Nation. For insurance or an FDA-approved product, check an appropriate prescriber and pharmacy; local care is one practical route.

What is the cheapest alternative to TRT Kingdom?

The public information does not establish a complete-cost winner. AlphaMD's annual plan has a $1,225 treatment-plus-consult subtotal before later labs; TRT Nation's annualized treatment rate is $1,199.88 before labs. Kingdom's $948 annual plan-rate calculation leaves required-fee questions unresolved. Compare written quotes, not these figures as complete bills.

Can I get a refund from TRT Kingdom?

Kingdom's refund policy says it can't issue refunds, all sales are final, and consultation payments are non-refundable. It asks you to contact it if there's an error filling your prescription. Its terms allow a refund at the company's discretion; they do not guarantee a refund for unused prepaid months. Refund policy · Terms.

Is Male Excel cheaper than TRT Kingdom?

Male Excel's published starting subtotal is higher: $2,727 plus shipping for 12 monthly membership charges, the starting injection-and-thyroid rate, and the $99 initial fee. Kingdom's $948 annual plan-rate calculation excludes unresolved required charges, so an exact full-year difference is not established. Male Excel has no annual contract, but 60-day medication purchases and refund limits still apply.

Is TRT Nation the same as TRT Kingdom?

No. They're separate companies. TRT Nation lists a Tampa, Florida address; TRT Kingdom lists a Durham, North Carolina address. TRT Nation · TRT Kingdom.

Does any online TRT alternative take insurance?

The listed subscriptions are cash-pay. Male Excel and Kingdom say HSA or FSA funds may work; check your account's rules. Hone allows an outside pharmacy but does not handle prior authorizations. Ask your insurer which prescriber, pharmacy, and exact product it covers. Hone insurance policy.

Can I use my Kingdom lab results with a new provider?

Acceptance depends on the program and receiving clinician. TRT Nation's sources differ between typically 120 days and up to 6 months. Hone may accept complete outside results from the past 90 days for its initial evaluation, but you still buy its initial test-and-consultation package. Ask what further or confirming tests your clinician requires. TRT Nation FAQ · Nation's other FAQ · Hone outside-lab policy.

Do I need two low testosterone tests before TRT?

For a new diagnosis of testosterone deficiency in adult men, major guidelines call for repeat testing. The Endocrine Society calls for symptoms plus consistently low levels, confirmed with a repeat morning fasting total testosterone test. The AUA uses two separate early-morning total testosterone tests plus symptoms or signs. A transfer while already on treatment is a separate clinical review, not an instruction to stop treatment for baseline tests. Read more about the two-test rule.

Which alternative offers testosterone cream?

Male Excel lists a cream-and-thyroid bundle from $132 a month, plus its $99 monthly membership and shipping. Hone lists compounded cream at an estimated $60 a month plus membership. Creams can rub off on partners and children, so ask about transfer risk. Male Excel prices · Hone prices · AUA transfer warning.

Is TRT Kingdom legit?

Kingdom operates a public telehealth service and names REM Health Medical Group, P.A. as its clinical provider. That does not independently verify the clinician, pharmacy, or terms for your care. See our TRT Kingdom review and Kingdom's own disclosure.

What happens to my prepaid plan after the current telemedicine extension ends?

The current extension permits qualifying prescribing through December 31, 2026; it does not establish what applies after that date. Ask your provider in writing what happens to your care and unused months if the rules change. Current federal rule.

I'm worried about running out during a switch. What should I do?

Contact your current prescriber and your new provider now, and ask who's responsible for your care during the change. Don't adjust or stop treatment on your own.
