Male Excel vs Limitless Male: Which TRT Option Fits You?
Male Excel vs Limitless Male is a choice between home treatment and staff-given clinic shots. Male Excel starts with $99, then published injection components of $219 monthly before extras; Limitless needs a current quote. State coverage and clinic hours matter. If low testosterone is unconfirmed or you want children soon, get a clinical assessment first.
Home testosterone therapy you manage yourself, or in-clinic injections at one of 17 clinics across nine states. Here are the published charges, dated customer bills, how each one tests you, and the fine print, all checked on one date.
It's a choice about who handles the needle. Male Excel's published injection components add up to $2,727 for the $99 start, 12 memberships and six medication fills, before shipping and other applicable charges. Its advertised routine is daily home injections, but an in-person exam may still be required. We didn't find a current Limitless Male monthly price on the public pages reviewed. Two 2025 customers reported paying $229 and $250 a month, and Limitless says its staff give every injection in the clinic on its main program. Those old charges are reference points, not current quotes.
Sources: Male Excel prices, billing schedule, care and in-person-exam disclosure, Limitless TRT page and dated customer accounts.
The trade-off is daily do-it-yourself versus clinic trips; the current cost comparison still needs written quotes. Two more things decide it for some men: Male Excel doesn't serve Minnesota, and there's a gap in both companies' published testing steps that you should close before you pay. We'll show you exactly what to ask.

Male Excel vs Limitless Male at a glance
Male Excel is a cash-pay online program: you get a mailed finger-prick test, video visits, and medication shipped to your door for use at home. Limitless Male is a clinic chain in 9 states where bloodwork is done in person and, according to its main TRT page, staff give the injections. Male Excel says its testosterone is compounded; Limitless's exact testosterone product isn't identified in the pages reviewed.
Checked October 12, 2026 UTC. Provider descriptions are claims we verified were published, not checks of delivered care, individual licenses or appointment availability. Prices are published starting components or dated customer reports, not personal quotes. Sources: Male Excel costs, FAQ, roster, Limitless TRT, directory and privacy notice. Male Excel or Limitless Male: which should you choose?
Male Excel fits people who want to manage treatment at home; Limitless Male fits people who want staff to give their shots. Pick neither as a first stop if you're trying to have children soon, need confirmed insurance coverage, or haven't had low testosterone properly evaluated. Find your situation below.
- You work 8-to-5 and the nearest clinic is 20+ minutes away → Male Excel may fit better. Fourteen of 17 Limitless clinics close at noon Tuesday; four close at noon Thursday. Omaha's own page lists Saturday morning hours, though the main directory omits them (see the clinic table below).
- You hate needles but are OK with a cream → Male Excel's cream is an option to discuss. It advertises twice-daily use. Follow the exact product's transfer precautions: washing your hands, covering the dry application site and washing the site before expected skin contact are separate steps. Covering isn't a substitute for washing. Male Excel's cream information.
- You won't inject yourself, period → Limitless Male, if a clinic is close.
- You live in Minnesota → Limitless (Rochester) or your own doctor. Male Excel doesn't prescribe hormones there.
- You want a clear diagnosis before choosing a subscription → Start with your own doctor or a urologist. The reviewed public pages don't establish a complete two-morning-test protocol for either company. That doesn't prove the test is skipped. More on that below.
- You want to know your price before you walk in → Male Excel publishes its prices. With Limitless, get a written quote first. Our script is below.
- You're trying for a baby, now or soon → A reproductive urologist, not either program. Testosterone therapy can lower sperm production.
- You have good insurance that covers TRT → An in-network doctor or urologist. Male Excel doesn't accept insurance; Limitless says insurance isn't required, which doesn't settle whether it will bill yours.
The right TRT provider is not the same for every person — it depends on whether low testosterone has been properly evaluated, your symptoms and health history, your fertility plans, your state, your insurance or cash-pay preference, your treatment-format preference, your budget, and whether online or in-person care is the better starting point. Some situations belong with primary care, urology, endocrinology, reproductive urology, or urgent or emergency care when the symptoms warrant it. Because a general answer cannot resolve those for you, use TRT Provider Guide's Find My TRT Path tool to map your situation to the right care route and the questions to ask before you pay.
The tool is educational. It can't diagnose low testosterone, decide if you're eligible, or promise a prescription.
Is Male Excel cheaper than Limitless Male?
A current price winner can't be established without a Limitless quote. Male Excel's published starting components total $2,727 for signup, 12 memberships and six injection-medication fills, before extras. Two public 2025 Limitless customer reports supply historical reference points of $229 and $250 a month, not a current all-in offer.
What you'll pay with Male Excel, line by line
Male Excel splits its price across three pages. Here it is in one place.
The starting monthly equivalents are $219 for injections and $231 for cream: the $99 membership plus $120 or $132 in medication. That isn't a promise of one monthly charge. The pricing page says medication is billed every other month; the billing FAQ says every 60 days. Those schedules are not identical.
The $99 start is counted once. The model assumes 12 separate $99 membership charges; we found no basis to assume the first membership is waived. Ask when that membership starts and which lab, visit and supply costs it covers.
Three things to know before you trust that total:
- Your dose changes the price. Male Excel says so in its own FAQ. The $120 and $132 figures are starting prices for a "typical starting dosage."
- Real orders have run higher. 2026 BBB complaints include reported medication charges of $283.60 to $308.60, not $240. They do not establish the same formulation, dose or supply length as the starting package. Male Excel names treatment type and prescribed dose as price factors; shipping may add to the bill. Six hypothetical $283.60 orders, plus the $99 start and 12 memberships, total $2,988.60 (about $2,989); seven would total $3,272.20. Those are scenarios, not verified plan prices. The March 3 complainant who reported $308.60 acknowledged receiving a refund on March 6. BBB current complaints and March complaint and reply.
- A 7th charge can land inside your first 365 days. Six 60-day fills cover 360 medication days. If the first medication charge falls on day one of the window you are counting, the seventh charge falls on day 361. A lab or consultation delay can move that seventh charge outside the first 365 days after signup. Use charge dates, not shipment dates, to count the cash paid.
One more trap: Male Excel's pricing page says treatment starts "as low as $95 a month." That's Triclozene, a pill that isn't testosterone at all. (The same page also lists it at $120.) More on Triclozene in the fertility section.
For the full breakdown, see our Male Excel cost guide.
What you'll pay at Limitless Male
Sources: current $49 offer and dated BBB customer accounts. The current $49 credit is conditional; it has not been applied to those 2025 accounts.
Limitless also advertises TRT 4 Life: one upfront payment for lifetime treatment, "capped" at 20 memberships per clinic. No price is listed on the offer page. The cap is an advertised limit, not a verified count of places left. Its fine print says prescriptions still depend on your "ongoing medical evaluation," so "lifetime" doesn't guarantee lifetime treatment. Don't let a cap rush you. Get the full contract and ask:
- What's the exact price, and what's included forever: medication, every visit, every lab?
- What happens if a clinician decides TRT is no longer right for you?
- What happens if you move, your clinic closes, or the company is sold?
- Is any of it refundable?
Before you book Limitless, get this in writing
Copy this into a text or email to your local clinic:
Before my first visit, can you send me in writing: (1) the monthly TRT price, (2) exactly what it includes (medication, visits, labs, supplies), (3) how often I'd need to come in, and (4) how to cancel, including notice period and any refunds? Please include all startup, repeat-test, follow-up and shipping charges, any minimum commitment, and the total I would pay in the first 365 days under that quote.
Compare that quote with your actual Male Excel dose, billing dates, shipping and other charges. If the complete totals are close, the next section is where your decision gets made.

Do you have to go to Limitless Male for every shot?
Yes, on its main program, according to its TRT page. The reviewed current pages do not specify how often you would go in, and an older Kansas program describes home care. Male Excel advertises home use, with daily injections or twice-daily cream.
What a Limitless week looks like
Limitless's main TRT FAQ asks, "Do I have to give myself injections?" and answers, "No. All injections are done in our clinic by trained medical professionals."
On that model, you drive in, the staff give the injection, and you leave. No needles at home, and no keeping track of injection supplies. For a lot of men, that's the whole appeal.
Two things complicate the picture, so ask your clinic directly:
- An older at-home program exists on its site. A Limitless page last updated in March 2023 advertises "Limitless Male At Home" for Kansas, with monthly online visits and monthly lab draws at a nearby facility. Its initial offer is $75 for labs plus the appointment, or $25 for the appointment alone, followed by a required $75 lab draw before the second appointment if labs were not done initially. We couldn't confirm it's still offered.
- One customer described home delivery. A September 2025 BBB complaint says his testosterone was "drop shipped" after monthly level checks, which doesn't match the "all injections in clinic" rule.
What a Male Excel week looks like
Male Excel advertises "daily microdosing," meaning a small testosterone cypionate injection under the skin every day using insulin-style syringes, or testosterone Lipoderm cream twice a day. Its own tagline is "Daily TRT Protocols, Not Weekly Shots." It advertises provider check-ins every 60 days, automatic refills and support messaging. These are its published routines, not instructions for your own prescription. Unlimited e-visits do not establish instant or after-hours clinician access; ask how to reach the prescribing team between visits. Care description and FAQ.
If prescribed and used on that schedule for 365 days, that means 365 small injections a year, or 730 cream applications. If that sounds like a chore, it is one, and it's the honest work of managing treatment at home. Male Excel still warns that an in-person exam may be required.
When are Limitless clinics actually open?
We added up each clinic's posted weekly hours from its individual location page (lunch closures removed). This is the part most men don't check until they're already enrolled.
Hours checked October 12, 2026 UTC; all times are local to the clinic. Totals subtract posted lunch closures. Male Excel state listings come from its FAQ, not a personal eligibility or appointment check. Check your clinic's page before you go.
Omaha's individual page lists Saturday 8 a.m.–noon and lunch Monday through Thursday, giving 50 hours. The main directory omits Saturday and lists different lunch days, giving 47 hours. Confirm the schedule before relying on a Saturday visit. Posted hours do not guarantee an available appointment.
What the hours tell you:
- The good news: every clinic opens by 7 a.m. at least twice a week. That may give you a before-work option, depending on your job and appointment availability.
- The catch: 14 of 17 clinics close at noon Tuesday; four close at noon Thursday. Four are closed one full weekday. Omaha's own page lists Saturday morning hours; the other 16 list weekends closed. All 17 list Sunday closed.
How much time would clinic visits cost you?
The reviewed current main-program pages don't give a fixed visit schedule, so plug in what your clinic tells you.
*Assumes a 45-minute round trip plus a 15-minute visit. Your drive may be shorter or longer.
Clinic Time Calculator: use your own numbers. Pick your nearest Limitless clinic from the table and confirm its opening time and your visit schedule. Then use this worksheet:
- Trips per year = visits per month × 12.
- Hours per year = trips per year × (round-trip drive minutes + clinic minutes) ÷ 60.
- Driving cost per year = trips per year × round-trip miles × cost per mile, plus annual parking and tolls.
The 12-, 24- and 48-hour examples above use the same one-hour trip assumption. Use the clinic's actual quoted schedule for your own total. These are travel costs, separate from treatment charges.

How do they test you before starting TRT?
The public pages reviewed do not establish a complete two-morning-test requirement for either company. Limitless describes in-person bloodwork; Male Excel mails you a finger-prick kit that checks five markers, but hematocrit isn't on its published list. That is a disclosure gap, so ask the clinician how they will confirm low testosterone and arrange safety testing before prescribing.
What the guideline actually says
The Endocrine Society's clinical guideline (2018) recommends diagnosing low testosterone, called hypogonadism, only when a man has both:
- Symptoms and signs of low testosterone, and
- Consistently low testosterone, confirmed with total-testosterone testing on two separate mornings while fasting; free testosterone is assessed when indicated. (Total testosterone is all the testosterone in your blood; free testosterone is the portion not attached to proteins.)
It also lists elevated hematocrit as a reason not to start therapy. Hematocrit is the share of your blood made up of red blood cells, and testosterone can push it up. The guideline says to monitor testosterone and hematocrit during the first year of treatment.
One low number, a symptom quiz, or a single test isn't a diagnosis. That's true at either company. The clinician also needs to assess the cause of low testosterone, not just the number. Endocrine Society guideline.

The honest downside of choosing Male Excel
We have a financial relationship with Male Excel, so here's the part we'd want to know first.
With Male Excel's home plan, nobody gives you your dose. Its advertised injection route starts with a mailed finger-prick kit, and then you manage daily injections if prescribed; cream is its other testosterone option. If you want staff-administered injections and face-to-face bloodwork, Limitless is the better fit. Your own doctor's office may also offer those services; ask.
But Male Excel's home model offers fewer trips for routine dosing, advertised unlimited e-visits, and published starting prices. Ask about appointment times and any required in-person exam. That's exactly what the man who keeps cancelling his clinic visits is looking for.
Already have lab results? Male Excel says it accepts outside lab work completed within the last 60 days that includes testosterone, estradiol, DHEA-S, PSA, and free T3. (You still pay the $99 start-up fee.) Ask the clinician which confirmation and safety tests you need, whether outside results will be accepted, and what they will cost. An outside draw may be an option, but it doesn't by itself establish a diagnosis or guarantee a prescription. Outside-bloodwork policy.
Questions to ask either one before you pay
- Will you confirm my result with a second early-morning test before prescribing?
- Will you check hematocrit, usually measured in a complete blood count, and discuss whether I need PSA testing before I start?
- Will you ever prescribe before my lab results come back?
- What labs do you check in the first 3 to 6 months, not just every 6 months after?
- Who exactly will be my prescriber, and what's their license?
Want to check the starting test before paying? Review Male Excel's at-home test and listed markers →
Is the testosterone FDA-approved or compounded?
Male Excel says its testosterone is compounded, which means it isn't FDA-approved. Limitless's site also says "compounded products are not FDA-approved," but doesn't say which of its products are compounded. Ask either one for the exact product, its FDA status, and the pharmacy that fills it before you pay.
What "compounded" means for you
Compounding combines, mixes or alters ingredients to make a medication. The FDA's own words: "Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. This means the agency does not review their safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed."
That's different from an FDA-approved testosterone product, which went through FDA review and comes with official labeling. Male Excel calls its testosterone "bioidentical" and "compounded in the United States." Those are its words. Compounded doesn't automatically mean bad, but it isn't the same as approved.
If an FDA-approved product matters to you, or you want insurance to help pay, start with your own doctor or a urologist who can prescribe a specific approved product.
Male Excel's thyroid add-on
Every testosterone package on Male Excel's pricing page includes desiccated thyroid pills, sold as helping "testosterone effectiveness." Male Excel's own safety text says this product "is not an Orange Book product." FDA says animal-derived thyroid medicines, also called desiccated thyroid extract, are not FDA-approved. FDA's current thyroid information. Male Excel's homepage says thyroid medicine is given "when clinically appropriate," but the listed packages include it.
Thyroid treatment isn't TRT. Ask: Is the thyroid medicine optional? What test result shows I need it? What's my price without it?
Who fills the prescription?
- Male Excel: Its terms say prescriptions go to "third-party pharmacies we have contracted with," and it "will not be able to send your prescription… to a different pharmacy." Its FAQ names Anazao Health Corp. (Tampa, FL) and WellDyneRx-FL (Lakeland, FL). Ask which pharmacy will fill yours. Its terms also warn that orders do not arrive in child-resistant packaging; ask how to store your specific medicine securely.
- Limitless Male: Its privacy notice (revised Oct. 21, 2025) names Olympia Pharmacy (Orlando, FL) and Atlas RX Pharmacy (Omaha, NE). It doesn't say which one fills which product. Ask.
These are provider-disclosed pharmacy names, not an audit of pharmacy licenses or your particular prescription. Get the exact drug, ingredients, strength, supply length and dispensing pharmacy in writing.
Can you cancel or get a refund from Male Excel or Limitless Male?
Male Excel advertises cancel or pause anytime, but its general terms say all sales are final. A separate conditional guarantee covers the first three months of membership fees—$297 if you paid $99 each month. We did not find complete Limitless cancellation or refund rules in the public pages reviewed; its selected BBB complaints focus on billing and fulfillment.
Male Excel's money rules
- Cancel: "No Contract, Cancel Anytime." It also advertises a pause option. Confirm when cancellation stops future billing and what happens to an order already in progress; coordinate any care change with the clinician.
- Refunds: "All sales are final." Fees, including membership, "are not refundable in whole or in part." Prescription products can't be returned. The terms reserve case-by-case remedies, and the refund page invites reports of dispensing errors.
- The Excel Advantage Guarantee: New members who follow the protocol for 90 straight days, attend all appointments, and see no improvement (measured by Male Excel's own assessment) can ask for a refund of the first three months of membership fees. You have to ask within 30 days after day 90, with proof you followed the plan. Medication charges are not covered by that guarantee. $297 assumes three actual $99 membership payments; a discount would change the amount.
- Disputes: The terms generally require individual arbitration and apply North Carolina law. They allow an opt-out by email to legal@excelmedical.com or regular mail within 30 days of first accepting the terms, or first using the service if unregistered. Individual small-claims cases and specified other exceptions remain; read the full notice requirements.
Sources: Male Excel terms, refund policy and guarantee conditions.
Limitless Male's money rules
- Cancel and refund terms: Complete rules were not found in the public pages reviewed. Its privacy notice says payment terms are "outlined at the time of booking or purchase."
- Disputes: Its website notice says disputes arising from use of the Service go to binding arbitration or mediation, as permitted by law, under Nebraska law. That does not establish the terms of every clinic treatment agreement. Privacy notice.
- What customers reported to the BBB (Lincoln, NE profile):
These are customers' accounts, not proven findings. The three examples concern billing and fulfillment. "Unanswered" is the BBB status, not proof that the business never contacted a customer; the September account describes a callback. Original complaints.
How to protect yourself with either one
- Follow your agreement's cancellation steps and keep written confirmation. Don't rely on missing a visit or stopping shipments to end billing.
- Get a dated reply that names your final charge.
- Watch your card for two billing cycles after.
- Ask for your lab results and records at the same time. Both companies say you can request copies, and both say a fee may apply. Male Excel informed consent and Limitless privacy notice.
Copy-paste message:
Please cancel future renewals and recurring billing under my agreement. Please confirm in writing the effective date, the date and amount of my final charge, what happens to any order already in progress, and that no further charges will follow that final charge. Please also send copies of my lab results and treatment records.

Is Male Excel or Limitless Male more trustworthy?
Both publish named medical leaders, but the public records do not establish a winner in clinical quality. Male Excel's Charlotte BBB profile is accredited with an A+ and marks all 37 complaints in the past three years Answered or Resolved. Limitless's Lincoln BBB profile is not accredited and marks its four complaints Unanswered; those are business-complaint records, not medical accreditation.
Checked October 12, 2026 UTC. Sources: Male Excel terms and roster; Limitless history and medical leader; Male Excel BBB and Limitless Lincoln BBB; Male Excel Trustpilot, Limitless Trustpilot and Limitless rating attribution. Credentials are displayed roster labels, not a state-license audit.
How to read this. Complaint counts aren't comparable on their own. Both companies use marketing claims involving roughly 100,000 men, but those are not verified denominators for complaint rates. BBB considers complaint handling among its rating factors. Male Excel's profile marks its complaints Answered or Resolved; Limitless's Lincoln profile marks its four Unanswered. If billing problems are your biggest fear, that difference is a reason to ask harder cancellation questions, not a forecast of what will happen to you.
The Limitless regulatory entry comes from the November 2020 FTC warning and April 2021 FTC follow-up. It concerned peptide claims about COVID-19, not a finding about TRT safety or a ban on TRT.
One more thing for in-person patients: Limitless's privacy notice says it runs video and audio recording of its clinic premises at all times, except private restroom areas, and that patients consent to it. If that matters to you, ask whether exam rooms are recorded and who can access the recordings.
For Limitless's full background, see our Limitless Male TRT profile.
Is Male Excel available where Limitless Male has clinics?
Male Excel's published state list includes 8 of Limitless's 9 clinic states, with Minnesota the exception. Male Excel says it does not prescribe hormones in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. Limitless's directory lists 17 clinics across nine states; its older Kansas home program is discussed above.
- In Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Kansas, Montana, Michigan, or Illinois? You have a real choice. Use the clinic table above to see if a Limitless clinic fits your schedule.
- In Minnesota? Male Excel isn't an option. Your choices are Limitless Rochester, your own doctor, or a urologist. Our Limitless Male alternatives page covers other routes.
- Nowhere near a Limitless clinic? Its main clinic program may not fit. Compare Male Excel with other online programs instead.
Male Excel's published list is a service-coverage statement, not a promise you'll be approved or have an appointment available. Its providers decide on treatment after the clinical evaluation. The 39-state count is 50 states minus 11 exclusions; it makes no claim about Washington, D.C., or U.S. territories.

Is online TRT like Male Excel legal, and will that change in 2027?
Online TRT can be legal under the current rules, but it still requires a valid prescription. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance, and the current federal extension permits DEA-registered practitioners to prescribe through audio-video telemedicine without a prior in-person evaluation through December 31, 2026, subject to DEA requirements and applicable federal and state law. That extension does not establish the rules for 2027.
- Today's rule: The DEA's fourth extension of its telemedicine flexibilities runs through December 31, 2026. Prescriptions still have to follow DEA rules and federal and state law.
- Care after 2026: Recheck DEA's rules and your provider's requirements before relying on remote care after the current extension ends.
- Male Excel already warns you: "Based on DEA and state laws, your testosterone treatment plan may require an in-person medical exam."
- Ask your Limitless clinic which rules apply to your actual program, especially if any care is remote.
Ask Male Excel: If my state or the DEA requires an in-person exam, how will you arrange it, and who pays? We'll update this section when the rule changes.
Never buy testosterone without a prescription. No program, website, or loophole makes that safe or legal.
Sources: DEA drug scheduling, DEA/HHS extension through December 31, 2026 and Male Excel's in-person-exam disclosure.
What if you want kids, or a "keep your own testosterone" option?
Testosterone therapy can lower sperm production, and the Endocrine Society recommends against it for men planning fertility in the near term. Both companies sell non-testosterone pills marketed for men with low testosterone. These aren't TRT, aren't FDA-approved to treat low testosterone in men, and can't guarantee fertility.
- Limitless Male sells enclomiphene with the headline "Boost testosterone. Keep your fertility." and says "no shutdown, no trade-offs." Those are its marketing claims, not proven outcomes. Its own fine print says a clinician decides whether it's appropriate.
- Male Excel sells Triclozene, a "proprietary blend" plus thyroid ingredients. Its pages disagree on what's in it: the page title says clomiphene citrate, and the headline and body say enclomiphene citrate. Those are related but different drugs. Ask which one you'd get.
Clomiphene has FDA-approved uses for ovulation problems in women and is used off-label in men. Enclomiphene is not itself an FDA-approved drug. Off-label use means an approved drug is prescribed for a use that FDA has not approved. FDA Clomid label and official OPSS approval-status explanation.
Testosterone treatment can suppress LH and FSH, hormones from the pituitary gland that support the testes' testosterone and sperm production. That's why fertility needs to come up before you start, not after. AUA/ASRM fertility guideline and Endocrine Society guidance.
If a baby is in your near-term plans, start with a reproductive urologist. Neither an oral-drug advertisement nor this comparison can promise sperm preservation or recovery.
Provider sources: Limitless enclomiphene and Male Excel Triclozene. The Triclozene ingredient conflict was still present in the pages reviewed.
Planning kids? Map the right specialist and the questions to ask with Find My TRT Path → Also see Does TRT affect fertility?
Who should choose neither one?
Skip both, at least at first, if your situation needs a specialist or insurance. That includes plans for children, a history of prostate or breast cancer, high hematocrit, untreated severe sleep apnea, a recent heart attack or stroke, or an insurance plan that would cover TRT.
These are reasons for individual medical assessment before buying a program, not permanent decisions about whether you can ever receive TRT. Endocrine Society guideline.
Blood pressure matters too. In February 2025 the FDA required new or updated blood-pressure warnings for testosterone products after studies confirmed a class-wide increase in blood pressure. Ask either provider who will monitor your blood pressure and how readings will be reviewed. Ask your clinician whether home readings are appropriate and how to report them. FDA labeling announcement.

Before you pay: the side-by-side quote worksheet
The fastest way to settle Male Excel vs Limitless Male for yourself is to get both offers in writing and line them up. Fill in each row from the company's written answer.
A blank isn't zero. Write "not quoted" until they answer.
Print or copy this worksheet. For each written offer, add the startup charge, membership charges, medication fills and all other required charges due within the same first 365 days. Subtract only credits the provider confirms apply to you. Count the actual billing dates, and add travel costs separately. If a required charge is still "not quoted," the total is incomplete.
What we actually verified
We checked the public sources below on October 12, 2026 UTC, did the cost math ourselves, counted clinic hours from Limitless's individual schedules, and counted Male Excel's roster entries. We didn't sign up for either program, test a checkout, speak to a clinician, or get a Limitless price quote. Here's how each fact on this page is sorted.
What we actually verified: October 12, 2026 UTC
Provider-stated facts checked against their pages: Male Excel's $99 start, $99 membership, $120/$132 starting medication components, the 60-day/every-other-month billing wording, 11 excluded states, 5-marker test kit, outside-lab rule, named pharmacies, terms (sales final, arbitration), and guarantee conditions. Limitless's $49 first visit and credit, 17 clinics in 9 states and their posted hours, in-clinic injection statement, named pharmacies, and privacy-notice terms. Omaha's directory and individual schedule conflict.
Independent records checked: BBB profile counts and statuses, dated Trustpilot displays, the FTC warning and follow-up, the DEA extension date, and the cited Endocrine Society and FDA statements. These records do not establish the quality of a reader's future care.
Provider-stated services, delivery not checked: Male Excel's 6-month labs, unlimited e-visits, and 60-day check-ins; its FAQ also describes retesting as potentially needed at 6 and 12 months. Limitless's "regular" monitoring and main-program clinic injections. We did not audit patient records, appointment access, individual state licenses or pharmacy licenses.
Customer-reported: Limitless's $229 and $250 monthly charges. Male Excel order totals of $283.60–$308.60.
Our calculations and judgment: Conditional first-year component models, historical annualizations, weekly clinic hours, trip-time scenarios, "who should choose which."
Couldn't confirm: Limitless's current monthly price, complete cancellation/refund rules, fixed main-program visit schedule or insurance billing. Which Limitless products are compounded. Male Excel vs Limitless Male: FAQ
Male Excel has published starting prices and a home-treatment model; Limitless offers staff-administered injections at its clinics. A complete cost comparison still needs a current Limitless quote and your actual medication, lab and billing terms.
Is Male Excel cheaper than Limitless Male?
We can't establish a current price winner. Male Excel's starting injection components total $2,727 for signup, 12 memberships and six fills before extras; a seventh fill would make that $2,967 under the same assumptions. Limitless's old reported charges annualize to $2,748–$3,000, but those are not current quotes. Male Excel orders have run higher than the starting price for some customers. Get Limitless's monthly price in writing before deciding.
How much is Limitless Male per month?
We didn't find a current monthly price in the public pages reviewed. Two 2025 BBB complaints reported $229 and $250 a month, one saying that covered "product and visits." The advertised first visit is $49 with a blood panel, credited toward your first treatment if you start TRT.
How much is Male Excel per month?
$219 for injections or $231 for cream are starting monthly equivalents. That's the required $99 membership plus $120 or $132 for medication, plus any shipping and other applicable charges. The pricing page says medication bills every other month, while the billing FAQ says every 60 days; confirm your actual charge dates.
Do I have to give myself shots at Limitless Male?
Not on its main program. Limitless says all injections are done in its clinics by trained staff. An older Kansas page describes an at-home option, so ask your clinic what's available now.
Does Male Excel use weekly shots?
Its advertised testosterone routine is a small daily injection under the skin, or a cream applied twice a day, marketed as "daily TRT protocols, not weekly shots." Your clinician must set your own treatment plan.
Is Male Excel available in Minnesota?
No. Male Excel doesn't prescribe hormones in Minnesota, Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Hampshire, or Rhode Island. Limitless has a clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Does either one take insurance?
Male Excel doesn't accept insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid, but says HSA, FSA, or HRA funds may work. Limitless says it "doesn't require insurance"; we couldn't confirm whether your clinic bills insurers. If coverage matters, start with an in-network doctor.
Is the testosterone FDA-approved?
Male Excel says its compounded medications aren't FDA-approved. Limitless says compounded products aren't FDA-approved but doesn't say which of its products are compounded. Ask either for the exact product and pharmacy.
Is Male Excel's finger-prick test good enough to start TRT?
It's a starting point, not a full diagnosis. Male Excel's published five-marker kit list does not include hematocrit. Ask the clinician how they will confirm low testosterone, evaluate its cause and arrange safety testing before prescribing. Its outside-lab policy covers results completed within the last 60 days that include the specified markers; sending them does not guarantee a prescription.
Can I switch from Limitless Male to Male Excel?
Possibly, if you are in a state Male Excel serves and its clinician accepts you after evaluation. Minnesota is one of 11 excluded states. Male Excel says it onboards men already on TRT. Get your lab results and records from Limitless first, coordinate the transition and billing dates, and don't stop or change treatment without a clinician guiding the switch.
Can I get a refund from Male Excel?
Its general terms say all sales are final, with case-by-case remedies reserved. The Excel Advantage Guarantee covers the first three months of membership fees ($297 if you paid $99 each month), subject to 90-day adherence, appointment attendance, documentation, its improvement assessment and a request within the next 30 days. That guarantee does not cover medication charges.
How do I cancel Limitless Male?
Complete cancellation rules were not found in the public pages reviewed. Follow your agreement's notice steps, get a dated written confirmation of your final charge, and watch your card for two billing cycles. Several BBB complaints describe charges continuing after care stopped.
What is TRT 4 Life at Limitless Male?
A one-time "lifetime" TRT payment that Limitless says is capped at 20 memberships per clinic. No price is published, and prescriptions still depend on ongoing medical evaluation. Read the full contract before paying.
Which is better if I want to have kids?
A fertility-focused assessment should come first. Testosterone therapy can lower sperm production, and guidelines advise against it for men planning fertility soon. See a reproductive urologist first.
Is online TRT still legal in 2027?
The current federal telemedicine extension runs through December 31, 2026, subject to prescribing conditions and federal and state law. It does not establish the rules for 2027. Check updated DEA requirements and the plan with your prescriber. Male Excel already says an in-person exam may be required in some cases.
Is Male Excel or Limitless Male more legit?
Both publish named medical leaders. Male Excel's Charlotte BBB profile is accredited (A+) with all 37 complaints in the past three years marked Answered or Resolved; Limitless's Lincoln profile is not accredited and marks its four complaints Unanswered. Those records describe business-complaint handling, not clinical quality. Ask who your prescriber will be and verify that person's license for your state.
The bottom line
If the drive and clinic hours are what keep you from getting help, Male Excel offers home treatment with published starting prices and telehealth visits. If giving yourself shots is what's stopping you, Limitless's main program puts staff in charge of injections. The current price comparison still needs complete written quotes.
Different hassle. Either way, ask the clinician how they will confirm low testosterone and check hematocrit before prescribing, and get every price in writing.
