Male MD Sermorelin Reviews (2026): Is MaleMD Worth $149 a Month?
Male MD sermorelin reviews describe mixed experiences with billing, shipping, and support; they do not prove the tablets work. MaleMD advertises $149 a month and a separate $119 new-patient offer. Its linked references do not test its tablets. This review is for adults comparing that evidence and commitment; unexplained symptoms need a clinical evaluation first. 1 2 3 4

We earn commissions through some provider links on this site; research links in this review go directly to public provider pages; the Male Excel assessment uses a tracked affiliate link. Here's the part to check before you click "confirm": several of the sermorelin complaints we verified concern billing. Checking the product, plan length, and total charge can reduce misunderstandings, though it cannot prevent every billing problem. We'll show you exactly what to check.
This review is best for adults checking MaleMD before paying. Before considering treatment, make sure:
- A qualified clinician has explained the clinical reason for treatment and the evidence that applies to the proposed formulation.
- You understand that the medicine is compounded and is not FDA-approved. 5
- Any concern about low testosterone or another cause of your symptoms has been evaluated.
- You can confirm the plan length, total charge, and renewal date before paying.
Skip it, or start somewhere else, if:
- You think your real problem is low testosterone. Sermorelin is not a substitute for a testosterone evaluation, and MaleMD's sermorelin FAQ says it does not provide TRT.
- You want a plan with clearly priced baseline and follow-up labs. MaleMD's public pages do not establish that package.
- You compete under WADA rules. Sermorelin is prohibited at all times under those rules. 6
- You've had cancer, or you have a pituitary or thyroid condition. Talk to your own doctor first.
- You need confirmed availability in Arkansas, South Carolina, or Minnesota. MaleMD's published lists are inconsistent.
Here for low testosterone, not sermorelin? The right TRT provider is not the same for every person — it depends on whether low testosterone has been properly evaluated, your symptoms and health history, your fertility plans, your state, your insurance or cash-pay preference, your treatment-format preference, your budget, and whether online or in-person care is the better starting point. Some situations belong with primary care, urology, endocrinology, reproductive urology, or urgent or emergency care when the symptoms warrant it. Because a general answer cannot resolve those for you, use TRT Provider Guide's Find My TRT Path tool as an educational starting point for online TRT research, and take your health and fertility questions to the right clinician before you pay.

What we actually verified
Checked on: October 21, 2026 (MaleMD pages, terms, reviews, and alternatives). Medical and regulatory sources checked October 21, 2026.
What we looked at: MaleMD's main sermorelin page and its new-patient ad page, the cart notices, the homepage, the Terms of Service and privacy notice, the state lists on the pages we reviewed, and the pharmacy disclosure. The three references MaleMD links as "Supporting Studies." Trustpilot, BBB, and Reddit reports. FDA and Federal Register records on sermorelin, plus the FDA warning letter and action index for Curexa. Mayo Clinic, Endocrine Society, and WADA sources. Public pages from Hone Health, Taurus Meds, and Male Excel.
Verified public disclosures: both advertised prices, the listed inclusions, the provider-stated vial and tablet specs, a named pharmacy partner, the billing, cancel, refund, and arbitration terms, the state-list gaps, and the California notice. Finding those statements on a page does not independently verify care quality or fulfillment.
MaleMD says it, but we couldn't check it ourselves: physicians-only care, licensing in all 50 states, batch testing, and HSA/FSA card acceptance.
Still unknown: how long the $119 price lasts, the currently selectable plan lengths and total charges, how many tablets come in a month, included lab testing, scheduled follow-up, clinician response times, refill-review frequency, whether vials ship cold, and the dispensing pharmacy and license status behind any one prescription.
What this isn't: a hands-on treatment test. We didn't take sermorelin, create an account, or pay MaleMD.
Is MaleMD legit?
MaleMD operates a public telehealth platform and names a medical group and pharmacy partner. That verifies a service is being offered, not the credentials of your assigned clinician or the quality of a specific prescription. Its advertising, evidence, and billing terms need separate checks.
"Legit" can mean two things. Is the company real? And can you trust what it tells you? Those get different answers here.
How MaleMD says it works. Here's the process described on its pages and in its Terms:
- You fill out a short health questionnaire. MaleMD calls it a 3-minute intake. 1
- A physician reviews it. MaleMD's Terms say partner doctors "typically" approve or deny within a couple of hours. 7
- A pharmacy fills it and ships it. MaleMD advertises free shipping; its Terms specify USPS First Class and estimate delivery in 3–5 days. 7 1
MaleMD markets online care, but its telehealth consent says remote information may be insufficient and that a clinician may direct you to in-person or alternative care. Its public pages do not establish a fixed clinical follow-up schedule or response time. Ask who handles a side effect, how to reach that clinician, and when refills are reviewed.
One detail matters more than it looks. MaleMD's Terms say MaleMD LLC "is not a healthcare provider." It's a technology company that connects you to a medical group and a pharmacy. An older published MaleMD privacy notice, last updated March 15, 2022, names MD Integrations and Curexa Pharmacy in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Confirm the group and pharmacy assigned to your care. So your medical relationship is with the provider group, not with MaleMD itself. 7 10
Curexa's regulatory history also matters. FDA issued a September 2023 warning letter to Curexa–East at the same Egg Harbor Township address MaleMD lists, citing sanitation and cross-contamination concerns from a 2022 inspection. The FDA compounding-action index did not list a closeout when checked on October 21, 2026. These historical findings do not establish a problem with a current MaleMD sermorelin batch, and we did not confirm which pharmacy would fill an individual order. Ask which pharmacy will dispense your prescription and how it has addressed any relevant findings.
MaleMD says its providers are "100% physicians," with no nurse practitioners, and that they're licensed in all 50 states and D.C. We couldn't check that ourselves. Ask for your prescriber's name, then use the state medical-board directory to find the right licensing authority. For a New Jersey pharmacy, use the state's business-license search. We did not independently verify the current license status of a pharmacy assigned to a MaleMD order. 11
Two smaller things you'll notice:
- The Delaware address (16192 Coastal Hwy, Lewes) appears in MaleMD's Terms for formal notices. Routine cancellation is directed to phone or email; formal notices have separate requirements. 7
- The LegitScript claim appears on MaleMD's site. We did not independently confirm its current certification with the issuer. 11
Can you trust what MaleMD tells you? The business terms are easier to check than the health promises. We lined up MaleMD's biggest claims against its own fine print and against primary sources: 1 2 11 7 5
Our rule of thumb: check the clinical reason, evidence, and written terms together. MaleMD's fine print sets limits that its headlines leave out. Neither marketing nor a disclaimer proves that a treatment will help you.
What do Male MD sermorelin reviews actually say?
MaleMD's company-wide reviews are mostly positive, but they cover many products. In the first 20 recent U.S.-labeled reviews we inspected, four named sermorelin: one was positive and three were negative. Those four reports describe individual experiences, not a reliable satisfaction rate or proof that treatment works.
First, the big number, with the context nobody else gives you. 4
That last row is the catch. A 4.4 is a company-wide review signal, not verification of delivery or support for every customer. It doesn't tell you whether sermorelin, or the tablets specifically, did anything. So we sorted the reports.
We sorted the reviews by product and format
A "MaleMD sermorelin review" is only useful if you know which product and which format the person used. Many don't say. Here's what we found when we sorted real public reports. Dates below are displayed posting dates, where available; the accounts and outcomes were not independently authenticated:
What we noticed: On October 21, 2026, we read the 20 review cards displayed on the first page under "Most recent"; all carried U.S. location labels. Four named sermorelin. One was positive. Three were negative, and two of those three were about plan length and up-front billing. Only one was about the product's condition. That's a small sample, not a survey. Trustpilot's AI-generated profile summary also mentions billing and shipping-temperature concerns. It covers company-wide reviews and is not an independent product assessment. 4
In plain English: the practical lesson is to check what you are buying and how much will be charged up front. Those checks can reduce misunderstandings; they cannot guarantee a refund or prevent every billing error. We'll show you how in the billing section.
Three reviews, in their own words
These are individual experiences. They aren't typical results, and they can't prove sermorelin works or doesn't.
"MaleMD made the switch easy" — John L., Trustpilot, October 2026, 5 stars (after switching from sermorelin to tesamorelin)
"They charged me 149 a month" — Barry L. D., Trustpilot, October 2026, 1 star (he expected $119 on a 6-month plan)
"pre-mixed with the water and shipped in the heat" — Cody C., Trustpilot, September 2026, 1 star
How MaleMD responds
MaleMD replies to almost every negative review. Most replies we inspected ask the reviewer to email orders@malemd.com. Several say MaleMD couldn't find the account. For the $119-vs-$149 complaint, MaleMD said its team had reviewed the account and talked to the customer directly. It didn't say how. 4
Can you trust these reviews?
Partly. MaleMD invites customers to leave reviews, so this is not a random sample of everyone who used its services. Trustpilot screens for fake reviews. Those checks do not independently confirm each customer's account. Use reviews to spot service patterns. Don't use them as proof that a medicine works. 4 12
Do Male MD sermorelin tablets work?
The sources we reviewed do not establish that MaleMD's tablets work or match injections. MaleMD lists three "Supporting Studies," and none tests its dissolvable tablet. Historical injection studies cannot establish this tablet's absorption or benefits.
This is the question behind "male md sermorelin tablets reviews," so we went straight to the source. We followed every reference MaleMD links under "Supporting Studies" and checked its type, subject, and route. For the 2021 review, we used the author-institution record and abstract; the journal's full text did not load.
We checked the studies MaleMD cites
None of the three references MaleMD cites tests its tablet. Two review growth-hormone biology rather than test a sermorelin formulation. That doesn't prove the tablets fail. It means MaleMD's own evidence can't tell you whether they work.
Why "same ingredient" isn't "same result"
A peptide is a short chain of amino acids, the building blocks of protein. Under-the-tongue (sublingual) tablets and injections deliver medicine differently. A shared active ingredient does not establish equal exposure or benefit; those questions require evidence for the formulation being prescribed.
MaleMD lists 1,000 mcg per dose for the tablets and 10 mg total in each injection vial. These are different kinds of numbers: the vial's total content and advertised injection count do not establish the prescribed injection dose or equivalent absorption. 1 We did not locate product-matched human absorption data for MaleMD's tablet in the sources reviewed. Another current MaleMD offer calls its tablets the "strongest oral available." It gives no supporting comparison for that claim. 8
Tablets vs. injections at MaleMD
Product details and California availability below are MaleMD-stated. 1 8 16
What the injection research does (and doesn't) show
Even for injections, the adult evidence is thin.
- Children: Geref's 1997 treatment approval was for children with idiopathic growth hormone deficiency and growth failure. A 1996 study enrolled 110 children with growth hormone deficiency on injected growth hormone–releasing hormone. 16 17
- Older men: A 1997 study gave 11 older men nightly injections for six weeks. Growth hormone rose and two of six strength measures improved, but measured muscle and fat body composition did not change. 18
- Men on testosterone: A 2017 study looked back at 14 men on testosterone who also took a three-peptide mix that included sermorelin. A blood marker called IGF-1 went up. It didn't measure how men felt or looked, and it can't separate sermorelin's effect from the other two peptides. 19
IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1) is a hormone your liver makes when growth hormone rises. Doctors use it as a marker. A higher number on a lab report isn't the same thing as more energy or less belly fat. 20 19
Our take: Avoiding needles is understandable, but convenience does not establish benefit. Before starting, ask the prescriber what clinical problem is being treated, what evidence applies to this formulation, and which tests and follow-up are appropriate. An IGF-1 change alone would not prove more energy or fat loss. If you're comparing tablet brands, our sermorelin online guide covers the wider market.
Will sermorelin fix low testosterone?
Sermorelin is not testosterone replacement therapy. It acts on growth-hormone signaling, and the evidence reviewed here does not establish it as a treatment for testosterone deficiency. If low testosterone is your concern, start with a proper testosterone evaluation; MaleMD's sermorelin FAQ says it does not provide TRT.
This matters because the symptoms MaleMD's intake asks about — low energy, stubborn fat, poor sleep, lost muscle — overlap with low testosterone, thyroid problems, sleep apnea, depression, and plain stress. A checklist can't tell those apart. 1 3
MaleMD's two sermorelin pages emphasize different points: 1 2
These statements do not contradict each other. Taking a medicine alongside TRT does not establish that it treats testosterone deficiency or improves the results of TRT.
How low testosterone is actually diagnosed
For adult men, the Endocrine Society recommends diagnosing testosterone deficiency from compatible symptoms or signs plus consistently low testosterone measured with accurate tests, with confirmation by a repeat morning, fasting total-testosterone test. Results need appropriate reference ranges; free testosterone is assessed when indicated. One number doesn't do it. Neither does a quiz. If you want the full picture, read how low testosterone is diagnosed. 3
The same goes for growth hormone. Suspected adult growth hormone deficiency needs a clinical evaluation, and confirmation usually requires stimulation testing, with exceptions for some established genetic or structural conditions. In its 2023 statement, the Endocrine Society said no therapy to increase growth-hormone secretion or action was approved for anti-aging, and that risks may outweigh benefits. 20 21
Can you take sermorelin with TRT?
MaleMD discusses using sermorelin alongside TRT, but that is not proof the combination is beneficial. One small study of a different three-peptide regimen in 14 men already taking testosterone measured IGF-1; it does not establish the benefits of adding MaleMD's sermorelin to TRT. If you're already on testosterone, tell every prescriber what you're taking. 19
The honest tradeoff
MaleMD advertises "No Insurance or blood work needed." Its public pages do not specify included lab testing or a monitoring schedule. That does not establish whether testing is appropriate for you. Ask how the clinician will evaluate the reason for treatment and arrange any necessary tests and follow-up. A normal testosterone result does not establish growth hormone deficiency or a reason to try sermorelin. 2 20
So which camp are you in?
If low testosterone is your concern, start with a clinical evaluation. Primary care, urology, or endocrinology may be the right starting point; symptoms alone cannot tell you which hormone, if any, is involved. One more thing before any testosterone treatment: if you want children soon, say so first. Testosterone therapy can lower sperm production, and the Endocrine Society advises against starting it in men planning fertility in the near term. Ask how the diagnosis will be confirmed with repeat morning, fasting testosterone testing. Read how TRT can affect fertility and online versus local TRT care if those choices matter to you. 3
Want help starting your online TRT research? Use Find My TRT Path → It's educational, not a diagnosis.
What does MaleMD sermorelin cost, and why are there two prices?
MaleMD's main page advertises $149 a month for either format; a separate new-patient page advertises $119 a month. The public pages do not establish the promotion's renewal price, the exact charge for a selected plan, or a complete lab and monitoring bill. At an unchanged $149 for 12 months, advertised medication/service payments would total $1,788 before any separately charged care. 1 2 7
Here's what the price covers, based on MaleMD's pages on October 21, 2026: 1 2
Using MaleMD's advertised 25–30 injections, $149 works out to about $5 to $6 per injection. That is a supply-cost calculation, not a prescribed dose or a complete treatment bill. For the full breakdown — per-dose math, first-year totals, and what happens to your money on a 3- or 6-month plan — see our Male MD sermorelin cost guide.
At $149 for all 12 months, the arithmetic is 12 × $149 = $1,788. A full year at $119 would be 12 × $119 = $1,428, but we have not established that the promotion lasts a year. Those figures are conditional calculations, not a verified price range or an all-in quote.
The $119 question
This is where reviewers get burned, so read slowly.
- MaleMD's main page says $149 a month.
- MaleMD's ad page says $119 a month, "new patients only," with "limited availability."
- MaleMD's Terms say multi-month plans are charged in one up-front payment.
- One reviewer says the site showed him $119 a month for a 6-month supply, but he was billed $149 a month, up front, plus a tablet order he didn't want.
We don't know which price or commitment applies to your selected order from these public pages alone. MaleMD's Terms say the selected plan price is disclosed at checkout; we did not complete checkout. So do this: before you pay, look at the final screen and check three things. The plan length. The number of products in the cart. The total being charged today. If $119 matters to you, email support@malemd.com first and ask, in writing, whether it renews at $119 and whether it requires a longer plan. 1 2 7 4
And about "limited availability" and the "sale" banner: a real price doesn't need a countdown. Decide on your own schedule.
Need the current offer details? Review MaleMD's sermorelin offer → Check the product, plan length, renewal terms, and total on the final screen before you confirm.
How do you avoid MaleMD's billing traps and cancel?
Check the product, plan length, and total before paying, and set a reminder before each billing date. MaleMD's Terms direct cancellation to (888) 294-9877 or support@malemd.com before the next billing date; we did not test account controls. The Terms provide for upfront multi-month billing and no returns or refunds of shipped prescription products.
These are MaleMD's rules, straight from its Terms of Service: 7
Before you tap "confirm"
- If a monthly plan is offered and that is what you want, confirm it says monthly and check the renewal price.
- The cart contains only the product and format you intended to order. No unwanted tablets riding along with an injection order.
- The total matches what you expected to pay today.
- You've screenshotted the final screen.
How to cancel in 5 steps
- Write down your billing date from the order confirmation.
- Set a phone reminder 3–5 days before it.
- Email support@malemd.com from the email address linked to your account, with the subject line "Cancel sermorelin subscription." Ask for written confirmation.
- No reply in one business day? Call (888) 294-9877. Write down the rep's name and the time.
- Charged after a confirmed cancellation? Reply to MaleMD with your confirmation first. If that fails, call your card company.
A cancel email you can copy
Send this from the email address linked to your account.
Subject: Cancel sermorelin subscription
Hi MaleMD team,
Please cancel the sermorelin subscription linked to this email address, effective immediately, and stop all future shipments and charges.
Please reply to confirm the cancellation in writing, and tell me if any order is already being processed.
Thank you.
Reactivating a paused prescription? Run the same checklist. One reviewer says a reactivation shipped a 6-month supply instead of 3. Confirm the product, shipment interval, and total charge before reactivating; the report does not establish a general right to pause. 4
MaleMD's Terms say medical records are retained for at least five years, but account access can end. An older published privacy notice, dated March 15, 2022, describes written requests for copies at support@malemd.com. Ask how to obtain your records before closing the account. 7 10
Before starting, review MaleMD's current offer and plan terms → Check the final charge and keep your order and cancellation confirmations.
Is MaleMD sermorelin FDA-approved and safe?
MaleMD describes its sermorelin as compounded, and compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. Geref's historical injectable approvals covered diagnostic use and pediatric growth hormone deficiency; those approvals were withdrawn in 2009, and FDA later found the withdrawal was not for safety or effectiveness reasons. That history does not establish the safety or benefit of today's compounded product. 5 16
Compounded means a pharmacy mixes a medicine for an individual prescription. The FDA doesn't review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they're sold. Compounded medicines can meet individual medical needs, but quality problems such as contamination or incorrect strength can cause harm. 5
Sermorelin's FDA history
Those approvals were for injections, in specific medical uses. They don't carry over to a compounded tablet or a compounded injection today. 16 5
What sermorelin does in the body
Sermorelin is a lab-made copy of part of growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH), a signal your brain sends to the pituitary gland. The pituitary is a pea-sized gland at the base of the brain that releases hormones. Sermorelin nudges it to release more growth hormone. This mechanism does not establish that a particular compounded product is effective or safer than another treatment. 13 16
Side effects
MaleMD's FAQ lists injection-site reactions and symptoms such as headache, flushing, dizziness, and nausea; it also warns of severe allergic reactions, blood-pressure changes, and increased pressure inside the skull. These are MaleMD's stated warnings, not measured rates for its current products. Mayo Clinic's injection-route monograph also describes effects including itching, trouble swallowing, dizziness, flushing, headache, and sleepiness, and tells patients to mention an underactive thyroid to their doctor. It does not establish side-effect rates for MaleMD's tablets. 1 13
Talk to your own doctor first if
- You've had cancer.
- You have a thyroid, pituitary, or blood-sugar problem.
- You take other hormones, including testosterone.
- You have allergies, or take other medicines or supplements.
Get emergency care for trouble breathing, swelling of the tongue or throat, fainting, chest pain, or a sudden severe headache. In the U.S., call 911. 22 23
If a vial arrives warm
Compounded vials have their own "beyond-use" dates set by the pharmacy. The public MaleMD pages we reviewed did not establish shipping-temperature controls. Follow the dispensing pharmacy's storage directions and beyond-use date. If a vial arrives unexpectedly warm, damaged, discolored, or cloudy, set it aside and contact the dispensing pharmacist before using it; ask whether that shipment can still be used or needs replacement. 24 25
Athletes: it's banned
The World Anti-Doping Agency lists sermorelin as prohibited at all times, under section S2.2.4 of its Prohibited List. MaleMD's own fine print says sermorelin isn't prescribed for athletic performance. A prescription isn't sporting clearance. Check with your anti-doping organization. 6 1
Is MaleMD sermorelin available in my state?
MaleMD's FAQ says all 50 states and Washington, D.C. But Arkansas and South Carolina are missing from every MaleMD state list we found, and Minnesota appears on some lists and not others. MaleMD's cart also says injections can't ship to California, where tablets are offered instead.
We compared the state lists on MaleMD's homepage, product page, and public cart/consent text on October 21, 2026. These general lists are not a verified map of product-specific prescribing and dispensing availability: 11 1 8 26
If you live in Arkansas, South Carolina, or Minnesota, email support@malemd.com before you enter any payment details. If you're in California and want injections, ask any alternative provider to confirm that it can prescribe and dispense that format to your state before paying.
If MaleMD isn't your fit: 3 other routes
Other routes may make sense if you want a stated testing pathway, a different offer to compare, or an evaluation of possible low testosterone. Hone lists several care routes with different testing and price terms, while Taurus advertises a $79 first-month injection offer with renewal and fee questions. Male Excel offers testosterone evaluation and care; we found no sermorelin offer on its program and pricing pages.
Hone Health: if you want a stated testing pathway
Hone's product page shows $175 a month and labels sermorelin "Premium Tier." Its September–October 2026 help pages list $175 without membership or an estimated $130 with membership, including Basic. Confirm which price and care route apply to you. Hone also states plainly that its sermorelin is compounded and not FDA-approved. 27 28 29 30
At unchanged posted rates, 12 months would be $2,100 without membership, $1,885 with Basic ($25 + 12 × $155), or $3,485 with Premium ($65 + 12 × $285). These are scenarios based on the help pages, before any extra charges or optional consultations. The conflicting product-page price makes a written quote essential; the cheapest scenario does not establish the right care for you.
Review Hone's sermorelin and testing costs →
Taurus Meds: a $79 introductory injection offer
Taurus advertises a $79 first month for its injection offer alongside a $179 price. Its page says HSA/FSA is accepted. The linked sermorelin page does not specify lab requirements. Confirm the renewal rate and whether the recurring $17.99 membership fee per billing period in its Terms applies to your order; the Terms allow exceptions stated at purchase. That uncertainty prevents a verified first-year total. 31 32
Its testosterone landing page also shows an "Oral Sermorelin+" card with inconsistent injection copy. That does not establish a currently available oral prescription or its price; ask about the exact formulation instead of assuming Taurus only offers injections. 33
See Taurus Meds' sermorelin pricing →
Male Excel: if it might be low testosterone
Male Excel is a testosterone program; we found no sermorelin offer on its program and pricing pages. It starts with a free online assessment and offers an at-home hormone test, with provider check-ins every 60 days, according to its site. The initial test and consultation cost $99. Membership is $99 a month, with medication and shipping billed separately. The $99 initial fee plus 12 paid membership months totals $1,287 before medication and shipping. Ask whether repeat diagnostic testing adds a fee; the actual first-year bill depends on the care prescribed. 34 35 36
Its homepage says clinicians may prescribe before lab results arrive, so it should not be treated as a guarantee of testing before treatment. Ask how symptoms, history, accurate tests, and repeat morning, fasting testosterone results will be used to confirm a diagnosis. 34 3
Male Excel's homepage lists 11 states it does not serve: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. Confirm current availability before paying. 34
Start Male Excel's free online assessment → Male Excel is a testosterone program, not a verified sermorelin option in this review. An assessment doesn't guarantee a diagnosis or prescription.

Our verdict on MaleMD sermorelin
MaleMD's public offers make price and convenience easy to compare, but they do not establish whether sermorelin is appropriate for an individual reader. The references it links do not validate its tablets, and historical injection studies do not establish the suitability of its current compounded injections. Resolve the clinical, product, monitoring, and billing questions before paying.
If you've read this far, you've checked the parts a headline price can't answer. Here's a quick self-check. These checks help with due diligence; they cannot establish whether treatment is right for you:
- A clinician has explained the reason for treatment, the evidence limits, and the appropriate testing and follow-up.
- I've checked the available plan lengths, product, total charge, and renewal price before confirming.
- I've set a reminder before my billing date.
- I've checked any applicable anti-doping rules, and I'll give the clinician my full health history.

If the clinical reason is still unclear, start with your own clinician. For a separate question about online TRT care, Find My TRT Path is an educational starting point.
What should you ask MaleMD before you pay?
Get the product, the plan, and the supervision in writing before you commit. These questions cover the gaps MaleMD's public pages leave open. If an answer stays fuzzy, that's your signal to slow down.
Copy these into an email to support@malemd.com, or ask the physician in your MaleMD portal. Write down who answered and when.
A completed list doesn't mean treatment is right for you. That's a decision for you and a clinician. It gives you a written record of what the provider says you are buying.
How we reviewed MaleMD sermorelin
We reviewed MaleMD with TRT Provider Guide's published method, How We Review TRT Providers. We separated what MaleMD says, what primary sources establish, what reviewers report, and our own judgment. We didn't take the medicine, pay MaleMD, or give it a score.
Here's exactly what we did for this page:
- Read MaleMD's own pages on October 21, 2026: the main sermorelin page, the new-patient ad page, the cart notices, the homepage, the Terms of Service, the privacy notice, the state lists on the pages we reviewed, and the pharmacy disclosure.
- Followed every reference MaleMD cites under "Supporting Studies" and checked its subject and route. The 2021 review was assessed through its author-institution record and abstract because the journal full text did not load.
- Checked primary and authoritative sources for the medical and regulatory facts: the Federal Register and FDA records on Geref, FDA guidance on compounding, Curexa's FDA warning letter and action-index entry, the Endocrine Society, Mayo Clinic, and the WADA Prohibited List.
- Sorted public reports from Trustpilot, BBB, and Reddit by product and format, and labeled what each one can and can't tell you.
- Compared three alternatives from their public pages on the same date.
We distinguish four things throughout: verified facts established by the relevant primary sources, provider-stated facts found on company pages and in terms, customer-experience signals from individual reports, and our take based on that evidence. Confirming that a company published a statement is not independent proof that its service performs that way. Read the full method: How We Review TRT Providers. Our editorial standards explain how we handle evidence. If a fact has changed, use our corrections page. Before sharing information with our site, read our privacy policy.
What would change our verdict: published data on MaleMD's tablets, a clear regular price, clearer lab-testing and monitoring terms, or a change in MaleMD's refund or cancellation rules. We'll update this page when any of those change.
Male MD sermorelin FAQ
The remaining questions concern the prescription, evidence, payment terms, and treatment differences. The answers below separate MaleMD's public statements from what the sources can establish.
Is MaleMD sermorelin real sermorelin?
It's prescription sermorelin made by a compounding pharmacy, according to MaleMD. The company names Curexa Pharmacy in New Jersey as a partner; confirm which pharmacy will dispense your prescription. Check your label for the strength and beyond-use date. We did not independently test the medicine's contents. 1 11
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. MaleMD says a physician reviews your health information and decides whether to prescribe. A questionnaire does not guarantee approval or replace any evaluation the clinician needs. 1 26
Does MaleMD check my blood work?
MaleMD's new-patient page says blood work is not needed. Ask whether your clinician will review existing results or arrange tests and follow-up appropriate to your situation, and whether those costs are included. 2
Why did I see both $119 and $149?
$149 is on MaleMD's main page. $119 is on a new-patient ad page that doesn't say how long it lasts or whether it needs a longer plan. Check the plan length and total before you pay. 1 2 7
Can I get a refund?
The Terms say shipped prescription products are nonrefundable. MaleMD estimates that approval and shipping can happen quickly, so check the commitment before submitting an order. 7
How do I cancel MaleMD sermorelin?
Call (888) 294-9877 or email support@malemd.com before your next billing date. Ask for written confirmation. 7
Do MaleMD sermorelin tablets work as well as the shots?
The sources reviewed do not establish that MaleMD's tablets work as well as its injections. None of its three linked references tests the tablet, and we did not locate product-matched human absorption data.
Is sermorelin the same as HGH?
No. HGH is growth hormone itself. Sermorelin signals your pituitary gland to release your own. 13 16
Does sermorelin raise testosterone?
MaleMD's main page says sermorelin cannot raise testosterone and says it does not provide TRT. Sermorelin is not testosterone replacement, and the evidence reviewed here does not establish it as a treatment for testosterone deficiency.
How long does sermorelin take to work?
The sources reviewed do not establish a reliable benefit timeline for MaleMD's tablets or its current compounded injections. Before starting, ask the prescriber what outcome would justify treatment, how it will be assessed, and when it should be reviewed.
Is sermorelin banned in sports?
Yes, for athletes subject to WADA rules: sermorelin is prohibited at all times. Check with your sport's anti-doping organization; a prescription alone is not sporting clearance. 6
Is MaleMD the same company as Male Excel?
No. They're separate companies. MaleMD sells sermorelin; Male Excel focuses on testosterone therapy. 1 34
Can I use HSA or FSA money?
MaleMD says it accepts HSA and FSA cards. Card acceptance does not establish that the exact expense qualifies for payment or reimbursement; ask the relevant account or plan administrator and keep your receipts. 1
