Taurus Meds vs MangoRx: Which Online TRT Can You Actually Use in 2026?
Compare Taurus Meds and MangoRx on state access, published prices, drug identity, fine print and clinical limits.
Last updated: September 29, 2026
Taurus Meds vs MangoRx has no verified all-in price winner. Taurus advertises $49 testing and $149 monthly treatment; MangoRx’s $99 offer is dated, and its Florida disclosure is not a current state checker. This comparison suits adults weighing cash-pay care, not deciding whether they need testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Confirm state access, testing, and medication before paying.

There's also a fee clause in Taurus's own contract that needs reading alongside its sales page. And MangoRx's parent signed—and then ended—a nuclear-energy merger this summer. We'll get to both. 1 2 13 15
Taurus may fit if:
- It confirms access to your chosen treatment in your state
- You want injections or gel
- You're fine with a six-month plan if that is the offer's commitment
- You'll get the full checkout total in writing before you pay
MangoRx may fit if:
- It confirms current access to the specific injectable or Prime program in your state
- You want to compare its dated injectable offer or ask about Kyzatrex through Prime
- You're comfortable with the company disclosures below and will confirm the current offer first
Pick neither as a treatment purchase yet if:
- You want to have children in the next few years
- Low testosterone hasn't been properly evaluated with symptoms or signs and repeat early-morning testing
- You need an insurance-billing arrangement that has not been confirmed
These are fit judgments, not findings that either provider can prescribe to you. The product, access, price and clinical evidence behind them is shown below. 1 11 12 25 26
How we make money: TRT Provider Guide has commercial relationships with Taurus Meds and Male Excel and may earn a commission through qualifying referral links. We earn nothing from MangoRx. The provider links here lead to public pricing or information pages, not a clinical eligibility decision. Our commercial relationships do not remove either provider's downsides from this comparison. Affiliate disclosure.
Considering Taurus? See Taurus's current $49 program page → Before you pay, ask support to confirm they serve your state. Starting the test doesn't guarantee a prescription; a licensed clinician decides.
Want the named FDA-approved oral option? Read the current Kyzatrex prescribing information → We earn nothing from this link. This is the drug label, not MangoRx's price or intake page; confirm Prime's current price and availability separately.
TRT Provider Guide is the independent decision resource for testosterone replacement therapy — helping U.S. adults understand how low testosterone is evaluated, compare online and local care models and providers, and choose the next step that fits their health needs, fertility plans, budget, state, and care preferences, with every material claim verified and dated.
On this page, "verified" means we checked the document behind each statement. Where a fact comes only from the company's marketing, or we couldn't confirm it, we say so.
What we actually verified — September 28, 2026
Checked: Taurus's campaign, blood-test page, homepage, enclomiphene page, provider-stated testing article, Terms of Service, refund policy and privacy policy; OpenLoop's consent; Mangoceuticals' June-quarter 2026 filing, February 2026 TRT announcement and July–August merger records; Male Excel's pricing page; Kyzatrex labeling; FDA, DEA/HHS, Endocrine Society and AUA/ASRM materials; and the original Trustpilot profiles linked below.
Confirmed in the cited documents: the dated Florida statements; Epiq Scripts' disclosed ownership; the merger agreement and termination; Taurus's fee clause, cancellation rule and named partners; Kyzatrex's approval and label warnings; testosterone's Schedule III status; and the December 31, 2026 federal telemedicine date. An SEC filing verifies what the company reported, not a patient's current access or the quality of care.
Company-stated only: offer prices, included services, plan terms, broad clinician-network claims and proposed care processes. We recalculated the cost scenarios; we did not verify them against paid orders.
Could not confirm: either reader's current state access, exact dispensed injectables, assigned clinician and pharmacy licenses, all required lab costs, every ongoing monitoring and refill term, Taurus's fee applicability and early-exit charges, or current MangoRx pricing, insurance and TRT cancellation terms. MangoRx's current product and policy pages did not yield readable details sufficient to verify those claims in this check. That does not establish that the service has closed.
Not done: We didn't enroll, pay, or contact support at either company. We did not test a checkout, cancellation, records request or completed decision-tool session.

Taurus Meds vs MangoRx: which one should you pick?
Answer: Taurus is worth checking if it confirms your state and you want its advertised injection or gel options; MangoRx is worth checking if it confirms the specific program and current written price. A dated Florida disclosure does not prove that Taurus is available elsewhere or that MangoRx's $99 is today's complete bill. If you want children soon or haven't had low testosterone confirmed, start with a clinical evaluation rather than a treatment purchase. 1 11 12 25 26
Here's the whole decision in one table. Find your row.
| Your situation | Best next step | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You live outside Florida and want injections or gel | Ask Taurus to confirm your state, exact product and full quote; ask MangoRx separately about injectable access | Taurus advertises those formats, but neither company's general statement establishes your current access. 1 11 |
| You want every fee listed before paying | Request two written, itemized offers; use the cost worksheet below | Neither complete current first-year bill was verified. A lower headline is not enough. |
| You want an FDA-approved oral capsule | Ask about Kyzatrex through Prime and through your own clinician and pharmacy | Kyzatrex has an FDA-approved label; Prime's current access and price still need confirmation. 11 17 |
| You want the lower advertised injectable price | Check whether MangoRx still offers the $99 plan in your state and what it includes | Its February price creates a $1,188 arithmetic scenario, not a verified current $1,188 bill. 12 |
| You want children in the next few years | A urologist or reproductive urologist | Testosterone can lower sperm production. 26 |
| Low testosterone hasn't been confirmed | Your primary care doctor, urology or endocrinology | Proper evaluation needs symptoms or signs plus consistently low results on appropriate repeat morning tests. 24 25 |
| You need insurance to pay | A clinician in your plan's network, with coverage checked for the visits, labs and exact medicine | Taurus describes a cash-price offer; current MangoRx insurance billing was not confirmed. 1 |
The right TRT provider is not the same for every person — it depends on whether low testosterone has been properly evaluated, your symptoms and health history, your fertility plans, your state, your insurance or cash-pay preference, your treatment-format preference, your budget, and whether online or in-person care is the better starting point. Some situations belong with primary care, urology, endocrinology, reproductive urology, or urgent or emergency care when the symptoms warrant it. Because a general answer cannot resolve those for you, use TRT Provider Guide's Find My TRT Path tool to map your situation to the right care route and the questions to ask before you pay.
Find My TRT Path is educational and non-diagnostic. It doesn't confirm low testosterone, decide eligibility, or guarantee a prescription.
Is MangoRx TRT only available in Florida?
Answer: Mangoceuticals' June-quarter 2026 filing contains a broad Florida-only TRT sales statement and a separate Florida-only statement for Prime. Those dated disclosures are not a live state list for each program, so confirm injectable and Prime access separately. Taurus says it works with clinicians across the U.S., but its public campaign also does not establish a complete TRT state list. 1 11
This is a real access question, not a reason to assume one provider wins by default.
Here's what MangoRx's parent company reported to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission: its risk section said testosterone replacement therapy product sales were being limited to Florida, while its Prime section specifically said Prime sales were limited to Florida. The wording matters because Prime and the injectable program are separate offers. 11
Two things to keep straight:
- That's the company's own statement in an SEC filing. It is attributable evidence, not an SEC endorsement or an independently tested access result.
- It's dated. It describes the company as of that filing. A later expansion or restriction may not yet be reflected in public documents. Ask before you pay.
Also worth knowing: the company's February 2026 announcement promoted injectable TRT without providing a state-by-state list. It did not establish nationwide access. 12
What about Taurus?
Taurus says it partners with clinicians "licensed in the state for which they are prescribing medication." That's a company statement, not a state list. Its Terms name OpenLoop Health, Inc. as its partner medical-services organization. OpenLoop's general telehealth consent says some providers may be nurse practitioners or physician assistants rather than physicians; it does not identify the clinician who would handle your TRT care. 1 2 10
Before you enter a card, ask Taurus: "Can your clinician prescribe testosterone to a patient in my state today, and who is that clinician?" Our Taurus Meds state availability guide walks through the checks.
The federal rule both companies follow
Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance, meaning federal law treats it as a drug with abuse potential that requires a valid prescription. Federal law generally requires a prior in-person medical evaluation for internet prescribing of controlled substances, unless a legal exception applies. The DEA and HHS have extended a temporary exception through December 31, 2026. For testosterone, this pathway permits qualifying live audio-video visits, with the required DEA authority, a legitimate medical purpose and compliance with applicable federal and state rules—not prescribing based only on a questionnaire or payment. States can add their own rules. 27 28
What happens in 2027 depends on what federal regulators do next. If you start online TRT late this year, ask the company what it will do if the rules change. 28
Also tell the provider where you will physically be during each visit, not just your home or billing address. HHS advises providers to verify the patient's location and the authority needed to practice there. Ask separately about medication delivery to your shipping state. Our online vs. local TRT guide explains how the care models differ. 29
What does Taurus Meds vs MangoRx cost over 12 months?
Answer: Using the advertised components, Taurus's $49 plus twelve $149 payments equals $1,837; the dated $199 month-to-month option equals $2,437. MangoRx's February 2026 $99 offer gives a $1,188 scenario, while Taurus's $17.99 fee would add $215.88 only if it applies and bills monthly. None of these is a verified all-in bill. 1 2 4 12
Headline prices hide the part that matters: what you pay across a year of treatment. Here's the math, shown so you can check it. These scenarios count the initial charge plus 12 paid treatment months, not a promise about the first 365 days after intake. They assume unchanged rates, a qualifying prescription and any required renewal at the same price.
| Scenario | Math | 12 paid months |
|---|---|---|
| Taurus, $149 campaign rate; six-month commitment described in May 2026 release | $49 + ($149 × 12) | $1,837.00 1 4 |
| Taurus, same scenario, if the $17.99 fee applies and bills monthly | $1,837 + ($17.99 × 12) | $2,052.88 2 |
| Taurus, $199 month-to-month rate in May 2026 release | $49 + ($199 × 12) | $2,437.00 4 |
| Taurus, same month-to-month scenario, if the fee applies and bills monthly | $2,437 + $215.88 | $2,652.88 2 4 |
| MangoRx injectable, February 2026 advertised rate | $99 × 12 | $1,188.00 12 |
| MangoRx Prime (oral) | No current program quote verified; the injectable's $99 does not price Prime | Ask for a separate quote 11 12 |
| Male Excel, published starting injection-and-thyroid package, for reference | $99 consult + ($99 × 12 membership) + ($120 × 12 medication package) | $2,727.00 before shipping and any required costs not confirmed as included 16 |
The takeaway: the two advertised-component scenarios differ by $649: $1,837 − $1,188. That is not verified savings. It only becomes a useful price comparison if both current written offers cover the same required services, period and appropriate treatment in your state.
Costs not fully resolved by these rows: repeat confirming tests, required follow-up testing and visits, supplies, shipping, tax, and any change in the prescribed product or price. Some may be bundled; do not add them twice. If something isn't known, we left it out rather than pretending it's $0. You should do the same. An unknown cost is still a cost. The Taurus fee scenarios are not a verified minimum-to-maximum range.
What each company says its price includes
- Taurus's $49: an 8-marker blood panel and video consultation are advertised on its blood-test page. Its campaign identifies LabCorp and Quest and says a home kit is free when you live more than 50 miles from a location. After approval, the campaign advertises medication at $149 a month. A Taurus-issued May 2026 release ties that rate to a six-month commitment and lists $199 month-to-month; those commitment details were not verified in a current checkout. 1 4 5
- MangoRx's $99: its SEC-filed February 2026 announcement included doctor visits, consultations, lab work and analysis, and medication if prescribed. We could not confirm the complete current panel, repeat-testing charges or current package terms from readable primary pages. Treat those inclusions as a dated company offer, not today's guaranteed bill. 12
The $17.99 line to resolve before paying
Section 28 of Taurus's Terms describes a recurring membership fee of $17.99 per billing period, with an exception for different terms stated at purchase. The sales page says there is no membership fee. The purchase-specific exception could reconcile the two; the public documents do not settle which terms apply to your order. 1 2
Do not assume either that the fee applies or that it is a leftover clause. Ask: "Does the $17.99 fee in Section 28 of your Terms apply to my TRT plan, and how often is it billed?" Get the answer in writing.
How to build a fair comparison
Add up every required cost over the same 12 months:
first-visit charges + required lab tests + any membership fees + medication + required follow-up labs and visits + supplies + shipping + tax
Count bundled items once. Write down the billing schedule and any minimum commitment. If one company won't give you a number for a line, that line stays "unknown," not zero.
If $149 a month fits your budget, get the real number before you pay. Review Taurus's $49 blood-test and consult offer → Ask for the total due today, the commitment and renewal terms in writing, and whether the $17.99 fee applies.
Injection, Prime or compounded: what are you actually buying?
Answer: MangoRx names Kyzatrex, an FDA-approved oral testosterone drug, for its Prime program; that approval does not cover Prime as a service or MangoRx's injectable plan. Taurus advertises cypionate and gel, but its broad approved-drug language and compounded-hormone language do not establish your exact dispensed product. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and enclomiphene isn't testosterone at all. 1 6 11 17 21 23
Two words matter here. Let's define them.
- FDA-approved means the FDA reviewed that specific product for safety, effectiveness and manufacturing quality before it was sold, and it comes with official labeling. 17 21
- Compounded means ingredients are combined, mixed or altered to make a medicine for a medical need. Compounded drugs can meet real needs, but they are not FDA-approved, and the FDA doesn't review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they're sold. 21
A compounded testosterone is not an FDA-approved generic, and compounding does not establish that it is equivalent, safer or better. Words like "bioidentical" do not establish FDA approval either. 21
FDA-approved testosterone: Kyzatrex through Prime
| Product | Company | What it is | FDA status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kyzatrex, marketed through Prime | MangoRx | Oral testosterone undecanoate capsule | Kyzatrex is FDA-approved and Schedule III. Its label specifies use with food. Prime is the associated care offer, not a separately approved drug. 11 17 |
Advertised testosterone with the exact dispensed product unresolved
| Treatment format | Company | What the sources establish | What remains unresolved |
|---|---|---|---|
| Testosterone cypionate injection | Taurus | Campaign names cypionate and describes its hormones as compounded. 1 | Exact maker or compounder, finished product, dispensing location and approval status of the proposed prescription |
| Injectable testosterone | MangoRx | February release describes injectable TRT and fulfillment through a partner compounding pharmacy. 12 | Exact ingredient, finished product and manufacturer or compounder; the pharmacy description alone does not prove the injection is compounded |
| Testosterone gel | Taurus | Gel is advertised on the campaign. 1 | Exact dispensed gel, manufacturer or compounder, and FDA-approved versus compounded status |
Non-testosterone alternatives: enclomiphene and Mojo are not TRT
| Product | Company | What it is | FDA status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enclomiphene | Taurus | A medicine that can stimulate the body's own testosterone production. Not testosterone and not TRT. 1 22 | Stand-alone enclomiphene is not FDA-approved for any use. 23 |
| Mojo | MangoRx | Compounded product that contains enclomiphene, DHEA and pregnenolone. Not TRT. 11 | The compounded combination is not FDA-approved. 11 21 |
Before you pay, ask each company: "What exact testosterone product would I get, who makes or compounds it, and which pharmacy fills it?" The proposed prescription may depend on your evaluation, but the product and dispensing details should be clear before you accept that prescription charge.
What's different about Prime (Kyzatrex)
Kyzatrex is the named product here with an FDA label you can read. A few things from that label worth knowing:
- It's approved for adult males with low or absent testosterone due to specified medical conditions. The Kyzatrex label available during this check still carried an age-related-use limitation; see the June 2026 FDA update below rather than treating older class-wide wording as the last word. 17 19
- The label says to confirm low testosterone with morning blood tests on at least two separate days before starting. 17
- It can raise blood pressure, so blood pressure needs checking. A capsule doesn't mean less monitoring than a shot. 17
- It's a Schedule III controlled substance, like other prescription testosterone products. 17 27
What changed for all testosterone products in 2025
On February 28, 2025, the FDA told makers of testosterone products to add results from the large TRAVERSE heart-safety trial to their labels, remove boxed-warning language about increased heart-attack and stroke risk, and add warnings about higher blood pressure. That applies to FDA-approved products. It doesn't turn a compounded product into an approved one. 18
What the FDA requested in June 2026
In June 2026, the FDA requested removal of the class-wide age-related-use limitation and revisions to prostate-cancer and enlarged-prostate safety information. HHS described these as requested labeling changes—not proof that every individual product label had already changed. 19 20
The Kyzatrex label checked here still contained older age-related-use wording. A class-wide request and an individual product's published label can differ while updates are being made. Your prescriber needs to apply the current label and your health history, not an old warning copied from a comparison page. 17
The Endocrine Society's July 2026 statement still calls for accurate diagnosis and monitoring and says long-term safety, including prostate safety, remains uncertain. None of these updates makes symptoms alone a diagnosis or makes a compounded drug FDA-approved. More in FDA-approved testosterone products. 25 21
How do their ads compare with their own documents?
Answer: We put each company's marketing next to its own contract and SEC filings. Some pairs expose unresolved terms; others add limits or context rather than proving a contradiction. None of this proves poor care, but it shows why the ad alone isn't the deal. 1 2 3 11 12
This is the table we wish existed when we started. Every row pairs a claim with the company's own document.
| # | Company | The ad or headline says | What the other document adds—and what it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Taurus | No membership or hidden fees on the campaign | Terms §28 describes $17.99 per billing period unless purchase terms say otherwise. Confirm that the campaign exception applies to your order. 1 2 |
| 2 | Taurus | Homepage refers to FDA-approved medications | The campaign describes its hormones as compounded. Those broad claims may concern different products; neither identifies the exact drug you would receive. 1 6 |
| 3 | Taurus | Terms allow cancellation at any time | Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term; the refund policy requires notice received 72 hours before billing. These are limits on timing, not necessarily contradictory promises. 2 3 |
| 4 | Taurus | Campaign offers a 90-day results-based refund, minus lab and pharmacy fees | The general refund policy disclaims guaranteed results and limits refunds. The relationship between that policy and the campaign guarantee is unresolved. Save the terms that apply to your purchase. 1 3 |
| 5 | Taurus | Campaign says it has helped over 100,000 men | The same page also says over 40,000 patients, without defining either population or period. Both lower-bound counts could be true; neither is an audited count of successful TRT patients. 1 |
| 6 | Taurus | Product cards name enclomiphene, gel and Oral Sermorelin+ | Those different-format cards repeat an intramuscular-injection instruction. This is a copy error, not an instruction for using those products. 1 |
| 7 | MangoRx | February announcement advertises all-inclusive $99 injectable TRT | The June-quarter filing contains a broad Florida statement and separately limits Prime to Florida. A price announcement is not a current state-access guarantee. 11 12 |
| 8 | MangoRx | February announcement calls TRT the planned primary growth driver | The company signed a nuclear-energy merger agreement in July and terminated it in August. That business history merits continuity questions, not a prediction that care will stop. 12 13 15 |
| 9 | MangoRx | Pharmacy described as its partner | The filing discloses that Epiq Scripts is 52% owned by Jacob Cohen, identified there as Mangoceuticals' CEO. It is a disclosed related-party relationship, not evidence by itself of poor dispensing. 11 |
| 10 | MangoRx | February offer includes medication if prescribed | The announcement does not identify the exact injectable finished product or manufacturer. Ask for the product, approval or compounding status, and dispensing location. 12 |
A few of these, like the unexplained patient counts and repeated injection copy, concern the quality of the marketing. Others, like fee applicability, cancellation timing and state access, can change what you pay or whether you can use the service at all. That's why the next step is always the same: get the answers that apply to your order, in writing.
What is the one thing to know before choosing Taurus?
Answer: Taurus doesn't give you one clean, matching set of offer-specific charges, commitment terms and refund conditions on its sales page. Male Excel lists its consultation, membership and starting medication package separately, but it does not resolve every required cost either. Compare written totals rather than treating either pricing style as a guarantee. 1 2 3 16
Here's the honest version.
Taurus does not publish a single offer-specific bill that resolves its fee clause, commitment and refund terms together. If seeing the consultation, membership and medication components separately is your top priority, Male Excel gives you that pricing structure to compare. It lists a $99 consultation, a $99-a-month medical membership, and an injection-and-thyroid package starting at $120 a month, billed every other month, with "no contract, cancel anytime." That comes to $2,727 for those components over 12 paid months, before shipping and any required costs not confirmed as included. 16
But Taurus still gives you a concrete offer to investigate. Its campaign quotes one $149 monthly treatment number after approval, rather than Male Excel's separate membership and medication figures. The $1,837 Taurus scenario is $890 below Male Excel's $2,727 component scenario, but the products and included care have not been shown to match; that is not a verified saving. For a cash-pay reader who will settle the missing terms before paying, the written quotes—not the advertisements—decide whether the difference is real. 1 16
The thyroid detail matters. Male Excel's $120 starting package is not advertised as testosterone alone. The listing is not evidence that you need thyroid medication; ask the clinician what each proposed medicine is for and ask for a price for your actual plan. The cost page also does not establish the total of every baseline and follow-up test. 16
The three questions:
- What's my total due today, and what triggers the first treatment charge?
- Does the $17.99 fee apply to me, and how often?
- What's the exact six-month commitment, and what happens if I cancel early?
The first-charge trigger also needs an answer. Taurus's campaign says payment for medication follows completed labs and comes before scheduling the clinician call. Its refund policy says the subscription starts when intake is completed and the first month is charged. Ask which sequence applies to the $49 offer, including what is refundable if treatment is not prescribed. 1 3
Taurus's cancellation rule, step by step:
- Find your actual billing date in your account, receipt or card statement.
- Count back four calendar days. The rule says 72 hours received, so give yourself a buffer. This is a practical buffer, not a replacement for the policy's exact deadline.
- Cancel in your account if that option exists, and also email support@taurusmeds.com with "cancel my subscription" and your account email.
- Save screenshots of everything, and ask for written confirmation of the effective cancellation date and any remaining commitment.
- Check your next two statements.
The 72-hour notice rule does not establish a penalty-free exit from a six-month commitment. The Terms say cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term; confirm how that works for your offer. More detail in our Taurus Meds cancellation policy guide. 2 3
Want to compare separately listed fees? See Male Excel's consultation, membership and medication prices → These are published starting components, not a verified all-in quote. Confirm your state, exact medicines, lab charges and shipping before paying.

What should you know about MangoRx as a company?
Answer: MangoRx is the brand of SEC-reporting Mangoceuticals, whose cited 2026 filings identify Nasdaq ticker MGRX. Its records show $228,688 in cash at June 30, $68,757 in total April–June revenue, a going-concern warning, a nuclear-energy merger signed in July and ended in August, and a pharmacy majority-owned by the person identified in the filing as its CEO. None of that measures clinical quality; it does make continuity of care a fair question. 11 13 15
Being a public company is actually a plus here. Its filings give you documents beyond a sales page. Here's what the filings show:
| Date | What happened | Source |
|---|---|---|
| June 30, 2026 | Cash on hand: $228,688. Total company revenue for April–June: $68,757. These are company-wide figures, not TRT revenue or cash available today. | June-quarter Form 10-Q. 11 |
| June-quarter 2026 filing | Company disclosed substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern. This is a financial warning, not an announcement that care has stopped. | Form 10-Q. 11 |
| July 29, 2026 | Signed a deal to combine with Nuclea Energy. Before the proposed financing share issuance, Nuclea's owners would have held about 96% on the filing's fully diluted, as-exchanged basis. | Form 425/business-combination record. 13 |
| Aug. 4, 2026 announcement | Company said Nasdaq gave it until Feb. 1, 2027 to restore a closing bid of at least $1 for at least 10 consecutive business days. | SEC-filed company release; not a claim about compliance today. 14 |
| Aug. 19, 2026 event | The merger was called off after a required $15 million financing could not be raised by the deadline. | Form 8-K signed Aug. 21 reporting the Aug. 19 termination. 15 |
| Relationship reported in June-quarter 2026 filing | Epiq Scripts was 52% owned by Jacob Cohen, identified in that filing as Mangoceuticals' CEO. | Form 10-Q. 11 |
What this means for you: these records do not show whether MangoRx's clinicians give good care. They do mean you should ask the question you'd ask any subscription health service: "If your service changed or stopped, how would I get my records and prescription moved to another clinician?"
What MangoRx does well
- Prime names an FDA-approved drug: Kyzatrex. It gives you a specific label to discuss, although the program's current price and availability still need confirmation. 11 17
- The lower dated advertised injectable price of these two: $99 in the February announcement. That is not a verified current all-in winner. 12
- Public records. You can read its reported ownership, pharmacy relationships and business decisions in its filings. 11 13 15
- Flexibility, according to one customer. A MangoRx reviewer wrote that he "didn't have any commitments of 6 months or a year" (Paul Grimm, Trustpilot, May 8, 2026). That's one person's experience, not a published policy. 31
If you're already a MangoRx patient
Don't stop or change your medication because of a news story or this page. Download your lab results and visit notes, ask who handles your refills, and talk with your prescriber before making any change. If you ever switch, our guide on how to switch TRT providers covers the handoff.
What blood tests and doctor access should you expect?
Answer: A proper first diagnosis needs symptoms or signs plus consistently low results, confirmed with appropriate repeat morning testing; the Endocrine Society's July 2026 statement specifies at least two early-morning, fasting tests. Taurus publicly says it uses repeat morning testing, but we could not confirm that its $49 offer includes every required test. MangoRx's dated offer includes lab work without enough current detail to establish its confirming-test process or charges. 8 12 25
One low number isn't a diagnosis. Not 299, not 250. Here's what the major guidelines say:
- The American Urological Association framework summarized in FDA advisory materials uses total testosterone below 300 ng/dL alongside symptoms or signs and low morning results on at least two occasions. That is not a universal diagnosis from one number. 22
- The Endocrine Society calls for symptoms or signs plus consistently low testosterone, confirmed with repeat morning testing. Its guidance specifies morning fasting tests and accurate assays—the laboratory methods used to measure testosterone—with appropriate reference ranges. 24 25
For a new diagnosis, an advertised panel is not a substitute for that evaluation. If you already use prescribed testosterone, these first-diagnosis standards are not instructions to interrupt treatment or arrange untreated testing yourself; discuss your existing records and any new tests with the clinician. 17 24
A few terms you'll see on lab reports:
- Total testosterone: all the testosterone in your blood, including the part attached to proteins.
- Luteinizing hormone (LH): the signal from your brain that tells your testicles to make testosterone. It helps a clinician find the cause of low testosterone. 24
- Hematocrit: the share of your blood made up of red blood cells. Testosterone can raise it, so it gets checked before and during treatment. 17 24
| Taurus Meds | MangoRx | |
|---|---|---|
| First labs | 8-marker panel advertised; LabCorp/Quest pathway, with a free home kit when more than 50 miles from a location. 1 5 | February announcement included lab work and analysis; exact current panel and collection method not confirmed. 12 |
| Second confirming test required and included? | Company article says it prioritizes repeat morning testing. Its sales offer does not establish whether a second draw is included or what it costs. 8 1 | Current program-specific requirement and price not confirmed. |
| Follow-up | A separate enclomiphene product page mentions testing after 30 days. That does not establish the TRT program's monitoring schedule or included lab costs. 7 | Current monitoring schedule and included follow-up tests not confirmed. |
| Who you see | Terms name OpenLoop; its consent allows non-physician clinicians in some services. Actual TRT prescriber and appointment not verified. 2 10 | Filing names BrighterMD/Doctegrity for its telemedicine arrangement. Actual TRT prescriber and appointment not verified. 11 |
| Start-to-delivery estimate | Campaign says 1–2 weeks on average; company-stated, not a measured service promise. 1 | No current TRT turnaround or refill service guarantee confirmed. |
| Refills and clinician contact | No complete TRT-specific refill cutoff, abnormal-result escalation process or prescriber response-time promise confirmed. | No complete TRT-specific refill cutoff, abnormal-result escalation process or prescriber response-time promise confirmed. |
Ask either company:
- Do you require two separate early-morning testosterone tests before prescribing?
- Is a hematocrit (or complete blood count) included before I start?
- Do you check LH when testosterone is low?
- Which follow-up labs are required, and are they included in the monthly price?
- How do I reach my prescriber, not just customer support, if a result is abnormal?
Also ask when the first follow-up visit occurs, who reviews blood pressure and blood counts, and how far ahead a refill must be requested. For example, Kyzatrex's label calls for hematocrit checks about every three months and periodic blood-pressure checks; that product-specific schedule is not proof that either provider delivers it. 17
Which pharmacy would actually fill the prescription?
Taurus's Terms name Red Rock Pharmacy, HealthWarehouse, Precision Compounding Pharmacy and Triad Rx. Mangoceuticals' filing names Epiq Scripts for Prime and its compounded products. Those are published partner disclosures—not confirmation of which location would fill your prescription or that its license covers your delivery state. 2 11
Ask for the actual clinician's full name and license details and the dispensing pharmacy's name, address and license details. Use the relevant state professional and pharmacy boards to check those specific records; a general provider network or pharmacy partner list does not verify your assigned care arrangement.
For the full testing picture, see our TRT blood test guide.
Can you cancel, get a refund, or move your care?
Answer: Taurus requires cancellation requests to arrive 72 hours before billing, but notice timing, the paid commitment and refund rights are separate issues. Its policy's medical-disqualification refund language needs clarification; we could not verify a current MangoRx TRT-specific cancellation cutoff or complete refund rule from readable primary terms. Get both sets of purchase terms in writing, and make a separate plan for records and prescription continuity. 2 3
| Taurus Meds | MangoRx | |
|---|---|---|
| Cancel cutoff | Request received 72 hours before billing. 3 | Current TRT-specific cutoff not confirmed; ask when renewal is processed and how early notice must arrive. |
| Effective end date | Terms say cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term. Ask about any six-month commitment. 2 | Current TRT commitment, renewal and effective-end terms not confirmed. |
| Refund on cancelling | General policy says no cancellation refund except its medical-disqualification provisions. The separate campaign guarantee needs reconciliation. 1 3 | Current TRT refund conditions not confirmed from readable primary terms. |
| If a clinician says TRT isn't right for you | Policy first refers to a full refund, then to the remainder of charges and, elsewhere, the most recent billing cycle. Get the amount and covered charges in writing. 3 | Ask whether evaluation, labs, membership and medication charges are treated separately and which are refundable. |
| Shipped medication | Terms make shipped medication final sale. Do not assume medical disqualification overrides every exclusion. 2 | Confirm the rules before a prescription is filled or shipped; we did not verify a universal TRT return exception. |
| Lab tests | Terms say lab orders are placed immediately and are not refundable once placed. 2 | February announcement included lab work; current separate charges and refund terms not confirmed. 12 |
| Medical records | Privacy policy describes requests through its Privacy Officer, normally within 30 days, with one stated 30-day extension. Workflow not tested. 9 | Record custodian, request process, fees and turnaround not confirmed for the TRT program. |
What customers say. These are single reports about service, not proof of how things usually go, and they say nothing about whether treatment works:
- Taurus, positive: "Canceling was very easy to accomplish." — P Von, Trustpilot, experience dated Sept. 26, 2026. 30
- Taurus, negative: A reviewer said he was "billed not once, but twice before I even seen a provider." — David Arvin, Trustpilot, experience dated Sept. 14, 2026. 30
- MangoRx: The reviewer quoted above also asked MangoRx to "fix the site so you can get refills." — Paul Grimm, Trustpilot, posted May 8, 2026. 31
Taurus's Trustpilot page showed 4.3 stars from 919 total reviews on September 28, 2026; 918 was the count in the last 12 months. It displayed 76% five-star and 12% one-star reviews, noted that Taurus had not recently invited reviews, and said it had replied to 1% of negative reviews. The profile mixes product lines, including erectile-dysfunction products, so it is not a TRT-only sample. MangoRx had 18 reviews, not a sound basis for estimating typical TRT service. 30 31
The platform labels the quoted reports as unprompted. That is a platform label, not our verification of their billing records or any relationship with the companies. We use their service comments as questions to investigate, not proof of clinical results. 30 31
Who holds your records and protects your health information?
Taurus's health-information privacy policy describes a records-request process, while its general Terms also say the Services are not tailored to HIPAA. Those statements do not establish the legal coverage or actual security of every entity involved. Ask which medical practice holds your chart, request its privacy notice, and use its stated process for records. We did not test either company's security or records delivery. 2 9
Before you leave any provider, ask for your lab results, visit notes and prescription history. Never stop or stockpile medication on your own; talk to your prescriber about a safe handoff.
When is neither Taurus nor MangoRx the right place to start?
Answer: A treatment purchase is not the right first move if you want children soon, need a proper low-testosterone evaluation, need insurance billing that has not been confirmed, or have a health history that needs a closer look. Testosterone from outside the body can lower sperm production, and major guidelines advise against starting it in men planning fertility in the near term. The right alternative is a clinician who can evaluate those issues, not simply another subscription. 24 25 26
You want children in the next few years
Testosterone taken as a medicine can shut down the signals your body uses to make sperm. The process of making sperm is called spermatogenesis. The joint AUA/ASRM male-infertility guideline says testosterone alone should not be prescribed for men interested in current or future fertility. The Endocrine Society recommends against starting it in men planning fertility in the near future. 26 24
How much sperm production drops, and whether it recovers after stopping, varies from man to man. Nobody can promise either way. 17 26
Enclomiphene (advertised by Taurus) and Mojo (described in MangoRx's filing) often come up here because they don't add testosterone directly. But they're not TRT, they're not FDA-approved, and they don't guarantee fertility. Mojo also contains other ingredients; it is not simply an enclomiphene-only alternative. 11 23 26 Start with a urologist or reproductive urologist. See our guide to TRT providers for fertility.
Low testosterone hasn't been confirmed
Fatigue, low sex drive and poor sleep have many causes. A quiz can't diagnose low testosterone, and neither can one blood test. Start with primary care, urology or endocrinology. 24 25 Our where to get a testosterone test guide can help.
Your health history needs a closer look
The Endocrine Society's published guideline advises against starting testosterone in several situations, including prostate or breast cancer, a high hematocrit, untreated severe sleep apnea, uncontrolled heart failure, or a heart attack or stroke in the past six months. That doesn't mean every past health problem permanently rules out treatment. It means a subscription offer should not replace assessment by the clinician managing that condition. 24
The FDA requested changes to prostate-related labeling in June 2026, while the Endocrine Society's July statement stressed remaining long-term uncertainty and continued screening and monitoring. A prostate-cancer history belongs with the relevant specialist and the current product label—not a blanket approval or rejection from this comparison. 19 20 25
You need insurance
Taurus's campaign describes cash pricing; we could not confirm current TRT-specific insurance billing for MangoRx. If you want your plan to help pay for visits, labs or an FDA-approved testosterone product, start with an in-network clinician and check coverage for each part. 1 See TRT providers that take insurance.

What questions should you send before you pay?
Answer: These eight questions cover the main gaps left by both companies' public pages: state, exact medication, pharmacy, total cost, fees, commitment, cancellation and records. Copy them into a message to support, and save the written reply with your order confirmation. Ask the clinician—not just sales support—to answer the testing and treatment questions.
Hi, before I sign up for TRT, can you confirm in writing:
- Can your clinician prescribe testosterone to a patient in my state today? Who is the clinician or practice, and does the answer cover both my visit location and delivery state?
- What exact testosterone product would I receive, who makes or compounds it, and is it FDA-approved or compounded?
- Which pharmacy would fill my prescription?
- What's my total due today, and what triggers the first treatment charge?
- What are all recurring charges (including any membership fee), how often are they billed, and what would 12 months cost?
- Is there a minimum commitment? What happens if I cancel early?
- What's the cancellation deadline before each billing date, and how do I cancel?
- Which lab tests are included before and after I start, and how do I get copies of my records if I leave? Please include any second confirming morning test, required follow-up tests, clinician visits, record fees and request deadlines.
Then ask about the care between payments: who reviews abnormal results, how quickly you can reach a prescriber, when refills must be requested, what happens if medication supply and billing dates do not match, and what the plan is if state access or telemedicine rules change. Tell the clinician about fertility plans before a treatment decision. 24 26 28
If a company won't answer these plainly, treat that as an answer too.

How did we compare Taurus Meds and MangoRx?
Answer: We compared readable provider pages with dated company filings, checked official drug, prescribing and clinical sources on September 28, 2026, and did the cost math ourselves. We didn't enroll, pay or contact either company. This is document research, not a patient review.
We follow our published method, How We Review TRT Providers. It keeps four kinds of information apart:
- Verified facts: checked in official records like SEC filings, FDA labels, DEA rules and clinical guidelines. For a company filing, the verification is that the company reported it—not that a regulator independently confirmed each service claim.
- Company-stated facts: what Taurus or MangoRx says about its own prices and services. We attribute and date them.
- Customer-experience signals: individual reviews about billing, shipping and support. They can't prove a treatment works.
- Our judgment: conclusions we draw from the evidence, with the evidence shown so you can disagree.
We don't give either company a score. Our commercial relationship with Taurus and Male Excel doesn't change what we report; their unresolved terms stay visible alongside MangoRx's. See our Editorial Standards, Affiliate Disclosure and Privacy Policy.
If either company changes its prices, terms or state coverage, tell us through our corrections page. Please don't send personal medical information.
Update log
- September 2026: Public-source comparison checked September 28, 2026. Current readable offers are separated from dated announcements; unresolved access, price and policy details are identified where they affect the decision.
Taurus Meds vs MangoRx FAQ: what else should you know?
The answers below summarize the same dated price, access, drug and policy evidence shown above. They do not replace a current written offer or a clinician’s evaluation.
Is MangoRx available outside Florida?
Its parent's June-quarter 2026 filing contains a broad Florida-only TRT sales statement and a separate Florida-only statement for Prime. That does not establish today's injectable or Prime access in every state, including Florida. Confirm the specific program before paying. 11
Is MangoRx cheaper than Taurus Meds?
MangoRx's February 2026 $99 price gives a $1,188 scenario over 12 paid months, compared with $1,837 for Taurus's $49-plus-$149 scenario. The $649 difference is arithmetic, not verified savings: current prices, state access, required tests and all other charges must match before one is cheaper for you. 1 12
Is Taurus Meds legit?
Taurus's live pages and Terms identify Taurus Medical, Inc., medical-services partner OpenLoop Health and four partner pharmacies. That establishes public business disclosures, not a verification of your clinician's license or the pharmacy assigned to you. The offer-specific fee, commitment and refund terms still need to be settled in writing. 1 2 3
Is MangoRx legit?
MangoRx is the brand of SEC-reporting Mangoceuticals, Inc. Its cited filings identify its telemedicine arrangement, related-party pharmacy, dated Florida sales restrictions and financial risks. They do not establish current enrollment in your state or clinical quality. 11
Which one is FDA-approved?
Kyzatrex, the oral testosterone drug named for MangoRx's Prime program, is FDA-approved. That does not mean Prime as a care program, MangoRx's injectable offer or Taurus's entire service is FDA-approved. The exact injectable products were not established, and compounded testosterone is not FDA-approved. 11 17 21
Does either company take insurance?
Taurus's campaign describes cash pricing and future plans to explore insurance. We could not confirm MangoRx's current TRT insurance-billing policy from readable primary pages. If you need insurance to cover your care, start with an in-network primary care doctor, urologist or endocrinologist and check the relevant benefits. 1
Can I cancel Taurus Meds anytime?
You can request cancellation, but Taurus's policy requires receipt at least 72 hours before billing, and its Terms say cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term. Otherwise another charge may process; the cutoff does not erase a minimum commitment or guarantee a refund. Send it four days early as a buffer, confirm the effective date, and save proof. 2 3
Can I cancel MangoRx anytime?
We could not verify a current TRT-specific cancellation cutoff or complete early-exit policy from readable primary terms. Ask about the exact renewal date, required notice, cancellation method and what happens once medication is filled. Do not rely on an unconfirmed 48-hour rule.
Does Taurus charge a membership fee?
Its sales page says no. Section 28 of its Terms describes a recurring $17.99 fee per billing period unless your purchase says otherwise. Ask whether it applies to TRT and, if so, what the billing period is. 1 2
Is enclomiphene the same as TRT?
No. Enclomiphene signals your body to make more testosterone; it doesn't replace it. It isn't FDA-approved for any use, and it doesn't guarantee fertility. 22 23 26
Will Taurus or MangoRx affect my fertility?
Testosterone from either company can lower sperm production. If you want children soon, see a urologist or reproductive urologist before starting. Future fertility plans also belong in that discussion; neither testosterone nor a compounded alternative comes with a fertility guarantee. 17 24 26
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance and requires a valid prescription from an authorized clinician. Paying for a consult doesn't guarantee one. 27 28
What happens to online TRT after December 31, 2026?
The current federal temporary exception permits qualifying controlled-substance prescribing by telemedicine without a prior in-person evaluation through December 31, 2026. For testosterone, the applicable temporary pathway involves live audio-video and the other federal and state requirements. Ask either company how it will handle your care if the rules change. 28
