TRT Nation reviews are mixed across platforms. Consider it for cash-pay injections only after confirming the clinician, pharmacy, testing and refund terms. The $99.99 monthly price requires a 2.5-month purchase—about $250 before labs. Unconfirmed low testosterone, near-term fertility plans or a need for specialist care change the best starting point.1 2 3 4

Best for investigating: Men already properly evaluated for low testosterone who are comparing cash-pay injection care and can get the payment, follow-up and refund terms settled before paying. This is a fit judgment, not a promise of approval.
Not for you as a first step if: Your diagnosis is unresolved, fertility is a near-term priority, you need specialist care, or your state or required treatment format is not confirmed. TRT Nation lists a minimum age of 24; that is its program rule, not a universal medical threshold.4 5
The easiest thing to miss: the advertised monthly price is not your minimum upfront payment. And two live pages describe refunds differently. We'll show you both, with dates, so you can check them yourself.
| Decision point | What we found on September 11, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Minimum-purchase arithmetic | About $250 before labs: 2.5 × $99.99. This is a calculation, not a tested checkout total.1 |
| Starting scenario with one listed lab panel | About $379. Extra evaluation, testing or a different state quote can change it.1 5 |
| First-year budgeting | About $1,637 in the five-purchase, three-panel scenario below—not a guaranteed complete bill. |
| Written refund position | The cancellation policy reserves a no-refund position; a provider article describes a full-refund exception. Get the terms for your stage of care in writing.6 7 |
| State availability | The homepage lists five exclusions: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Missouri and Hawaii. This is provider-stated coverage, not independent clearance for every other state.2 |
| Medication | The provider describes testosterone cypionate and compounding-pharmacy sourcing. The exact dispensed product and pharmacy were not independently confirmed.3 7 |
| Support hours | The website lists Monday–Friday, 10am–5pm Eastern. We did not test response times or clinician availability.2 |
We don't give star ratings. We've never been a TRT Nation patient, so we're not going to invent a score.
TRT Provider Guide is the independent decision resource for testosterone replacement therapy — helping U.S. adults understand how low testosterone is evaluated, compare online and local care models and providers, and choose the next step that fits their health needs, fertility plans, budget, state, and care preferences, with every material claim verified and dated.
Educational information, not medical advice. This page does not diagnose low testosterone or decide whether treatment is right for you. Chest pain, sudden trouble breathing, or stroke symptoms need emergency care—not a routine telehealth appointment. This guide addresses adult-male testosterone deficiency, not adolescent care, women's hormone treatment, gender-affirming care or nonmedical use.

What did we actually verify?
We compared public provider pages, review profiles and official medical and regulatory sources on September 11, 2026. We verified what those documents said; we did not verify that every patient receives the advertised service. Nothing here is a firsthand account of treatment.
We think you should know exactly how solid the ground under this page is before you read the rest of it.
Checked ourselves, from TRT Nation's own live pages: published prices, the 2.5-month minimum, refund and cancellation wording, website terms, the state exclusion list, lab-panel pricing, outside-lab rules, monitoring descriptions, minimum age, support hours and delivery estimates.1 2 3 5 6 7 8
Checked from third parties: the Trustpilot score and star breakdown, and the BBB profile and displayed complaint record, including business responses and consumer replies. The business start date below is BBB-reported; we did not independently establish its corporate registration or professional licenses.9 10 11
Provider-stated—their claim, not our finding: medication sourcing, clinician expertise, included consultations, support access and delivery timelines. Checking a claim's wording is not the same as testing the service.
We could not confirm: your assigned prescriber and dispensing pharmacy, the exact product you would receive, your total diagnostic and follow-up testing bill, current appointment availability, or the refund terms that would apply to your individual purchase. No checkout payment or patient-specific licensing check was completed.
We did not: enrol, complete an intake, buy medication, test their support line, or speak with a TRT Nation clinician. Nothing here is a firsthand account of treatment.
We deliberately left out one reviewer's allegation about product authenticity and several reviewers' personal medical details. Neither is verifiable, and neither belongs on a page people make health decisions from.
The tables separate verified document contents, provider-stated services, customer-experience signals, and our editorial conclusions. Our calculations show their inputs rather than treating missing fees as zero. That is the approach in How We Review TRT Providers and our editorial standards.
Why do TRT Nation reviews look so different across platforms?
TRT Nation's website displays a much higher review average than Trustpilot. These are different review collections, and neither establishes clinical quality or the experience you will have. The available evidence does not establish that positive reviewers are mainly long-term patients or that negative reviewers are almost all new signups.
Where TRT Nation is rated, and what each source measures
| Source | Displayed figure | What we verified | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|---|
| Review widget on trtnation.com | 4.9; 2,063 reviews | The figure displayed on the provider's website. The originating review-platform listing was not independently checked.2 | Typical results, clinical quality, or how all reviews were collected |
| Trustpilot | 1.9/5; 29 reviews | The live profile and its unclaimed status.9 | That every review is verified, that the sample represents all patients, or why each person posted |
| Better Business Bureau | Not accredited; six complaints in three years | The business profile and the complaint inventory below.10 11 | Medical licensure, treatment safety, or the percentage of patients with a problem |
| Provider-displayed “Best of 2026” plaque | Review-based award, not a patient-star total | The provider presents a BusinessRate award.7 | An independent audit of treatment, prices, refunds or clinical outcomes |
Snapshot checked September 11, 2026. Do not average these sources together. An award, a complaint count and a star average are not the same measure.
The star split nobody screenshots
On Trustpilot, the 29 reviews break down like this: 69% one-star, 17% five-star, 10% two-star and 4% three-star; no four-star reviews were shown.9
That is a strongly split, small sample. It does not show when problems usually happen or prove that care becomes trouble-free after the first fortnight. The profile includes an established patient's refill complaint as well as reports about intake, payment and booking.9
Trustpilot labels the profile unclaimed and says the business has not invited reviews through its invitation system. That does not prove that every reviewer was unprompted, or that no customer was ever asked elsewhere to leave feedback.9
The six complaints that actually got filed
BBB complaints add something star ratings do not: a dated dispute, a business response when one is supplied, and sometimes a consumer's reply. They remain reports from the parties—not independent findings about care.
Here is the complete six-entry inventory displayed on September 11, 2026. The filing date and later response date are separate because several older cases received responses in August 2026.11
| Filed | Type | Current status | Complaint topic and recorded follow-up |
|---|---|---|---|
| August 17, 2026 | Billing | Resolved | Charge/cancellation dispute. The company reported a refund; the consumer confirmed a satisfactory resolution. |
| March 27, 2026 | Product | Answered | Instructions, communication and ended care. The company's August 21 response described a full refund and its appointment/escalation options. |
| February 10, 2026 | Billing | Answered | Outside labs and additional testing. The company reported a refund on March 11; the consumer's March 13 reply confirmed receipt but disputed the company's account. |
| October 9, 2025 | Billing | Answered | Medical-clearance and laboratory-charge dispute. The August 21, 2026 response said the patient had been fully refunded, including labs. |
| August 7, 2025 | Billing | Answered | Outside-lab acceptance and a refund request. The August 21, 2026 response said additional testing was needed and a full refund had been issued. |
| April 17, 2024 | Service | Answered | Monitoring and an order/payment dispute. The August 21, 2026 response said testing was needed and the order had been refunded before dispensing. |
Five are marked Answered; one is marked Resolved. None of these six is currently marked Unanswered. “Answered” does not mean the customer agreed with the response or confirmed satisfaction. Where only the business reports a refund, that remains its statement.11
Now the part that cuts the other way, and it matters.
TRT Nation's own BBB responses say refunds do happen
The February case includes a business-reported refund and a consumer reply confirming the money arrived, while disputing the explanation. The August case includes consumer-confirmed resolution. These records do not support saying that refunds never happen.11
So here's the honest picture, and it's more complicated than either side of the internet will tell you. The complaint record contains refund disputes, later responses and documented refunds. It does not settle which terms will apply to your purchase. That is why the separate refund section matters.
How to read any clinic's reviews, not just this one
Three questions, and they work everywhere:
- Where did the reviews come from? A provider-displayed widget and an independent profile may collect different feedback. Check the source rather than assuming they are comparable.
- What stage is each reviewer describing? Intake, clinical follow-up, refills and cancellation are different experiences. Read the actual report; do not infer the stage from the star rating.
- What happened after the complaint? Look for dates, the business response and any consumer confirmation. A later response can change an older case's status.
Run those three on every clinic you look at. It'll save you more time than any star rating.
How do you know whether this is the right care route?
The right provider depends on more than price or reviews. A confirmed diagnosis, fertility plans, state access and the kind of care you need can change the next step. A general comparison cannot decide medical eligibility.
The right TRT provider is not the same for every person — it depends on whether low testosterone has been properly evaluated, your symptoms and health history, your fertility plans, your state, your insurance or cash-pay preference, your treatment-format preference, your budget, and whether online or in-person care is the better starting point. Some situations belong with primary care, urology, endocrinology, reproductive urology, or urgent or emergency care when the symptoms warrant it. Because a general answer cannot resolve those for you, use TRT Provider Guide's Find My TRT Path tool to map your situation to the right care route and the questions to ask before you pay.
The tool is educational and non-diagnostic. It does not interpret personal lab results, clear medical risks or guarantee a prescription. Do not enter names, medical-record numbers or personal lab values; read our privacy policy before sharing information.
Is TRT Nation legit?
TRT Nation has an operating website, published business terms and a BBB business record. Those establish a public business presence, not independent verification of every prescriber's license, pharmacy or clinical practice. We did not verify an individual patient's clinician or dispensing pharmacy.
Its website terms identify the business as Nation Medical Inc., doing business as TRT Nation. BBB reports a business start date of September 19, 2019, and a Tampa address.8 10
That is a more useful answer than either “it's fake” or “everything is verified.” Business identity, prescribing authority and service quality are separate checks.
What the badges on their site actually prove
| Badge or description | What we can establish | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| LegitScript seal | A seal is displayed. The linked checker did not return a usable current certification record during this audit.2 12 | We cannot call the certification independently verified or use the badge to verify your prescriber. |
| Not BBB accredited | The BBB profile says the business is not accredited. Accreditation is separate from professional licensing.10 | It does not by itself prove that a clinic is licensed, unlicensed, safe or unsafe. |
| “Best of 2026” plaque | A review-based BusinessRate award is presented by the provider.7 | An independent clinical, pricing or consumer-policy audit |
| “America's Clinic™” | A marketing label appears on the site.2 | A clinical ranking, government approval or proof of trademark registration |
One more thing worth mentioning once, without editorialising: TRT Nation publishes its own “top 10 best online TRT clinics” article, and places itself first in it. That's their site, their list. Draw your own conclusion.7
Before paying, ask for the name and professional role of your clinician, the state in which they are licensed, and the dispensing pharmacy. Check those specific names with the relevant state professional and pharmacy boards. A clinic logo cannot answer those questions for you.
Where does TRT Nation's own website disagree—or leave gaps?
TRT Nation's pages differ on price presentation, outside-lab age limits, monitoring and refund wording. Two other differences are gaps in detail, not contradictions. The table separates them so you know which answer needs clarification before you pay.
All six comparisons were checked on September 11, 2026.
| The question | One TRT Nation page says | Another TRT Nation page says | What that means for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| What does it cost? | Homepage and cost article: $99/month.2 7 | Product page: $99.99/month, with a 2.5-month minimum.1 | A price mismatch. Our model uses the product-page figure; your written quote controls the calculation for you. |
| Can I get my money back? | Cancellation policy reserves a no-refund/no-return position and charges the full 2.5-month period.6 | Cost article describes cancellation and a full refund when patient and provider decide treatment is not right.7 | Different refund descriptions. Ask how the exception relates to the policy at each stage. |
| Which states? | Homepage names five excluded states.2 | FAQ says most U.S. states, with availability confirmed during intake.3 | Not a contradiction. One page is more specific; neither verifies your clinician's authority. |
| How old can my labs be? | Homepage: up to six months old.2 | FAQ: typically within 120 days.3 | Different acceptance windows. Submit the actual reports for confirmation rather than choosing the more generous wording. |
| Where does medication come from? | Homepage describes regulated U.S. pharmacies.2 | FAQ describes licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies.3 | Not a contradiction. A compounding pharmacy can be regulated. The exact product and dispensing pharmacy still need confirmation. |
| How often are monitoring labs needed? | FAQ: around 10 weeks, six months after the first follow-up labs, then annually.3 | Cost article: around 10 weeks, then every six months once stable.7 | Different ongoing descriptions. Ask for the clinician's plan and its costs. |
Why this matters to you, in one sentence: a friendly summary is not enough when a separate policy leaves your refund or future costs unclear.
We cannot decide from these pages which term would govern a particular dispute. Save the quote and applicable terms, and get anything about money confirmed in writing before you pay. The same goes for lab acceptance and monitoring; do not assume the page with the easier answer is the one that applies to you.
How much does TRT Nation actually cost?
TRT Nation lists testosterone treatment at $99.99 a month with a 2.5-month minimum purchase. That works out to about $250 before labs, or about $379 with one listed $129 panel. Neither figure is a verified all-in quote for every patient.1 5
What's included at $99.99/month
Credit where it's due, because this part is genuinely good:
The provider's cost article lists these package inclusions:7
- The testosterone medication
- Syringes and supplies
- Shipping
- Unlimited virtual consultations
- No membership fee. No separate monthly access charge is listed on top of this medication package.
That last one is a real structural advantage when you are comparing membership-plus-medication pricing. Male Excel, for example, separately lists a $99 monthly membership; its comparison appears later, after the TRT Nation questions are answered.13
These are provider-stated inclusions, not services we tested. Confirm that the same inclusions apply to your product, state quote and repeat orders. “Unlimited consultations” does not establish appointment availability.
What's not included—or needs a separate quote
Labs: TRT Nation's order page lists its standard TRT panel at $129 and has a new/existing-patient selection. The listed panel covers total testosterone, a complete blood count, a comprehensive metabolic panel, estradiol and PSA. That is a published standard-panel price, not proof that every diagnostic or follow-up test you need costs $129.5
A complete blood count checks blood cells. A comprehensive metabolic panel checks several measures related to organ function and body chemistry. Estradiol is an estrogen hormone; PSA is a prostate-related blood test. The homepage's outside-lab instructions specify PSA for men over 40, but your clinician decides what evaluation is appropriate—not this price table.2 5
Outside testing: You may be able to use your own reports, but the six-month and 120-day descriptions differ. Have the actual reports approved before counting the provider's lab charge as an expense you can avoid.2 3
hCG: The TRT + hCG bundle is $180/month, also on a 2.5-month minimum. hCG is a separate, non-testosterone drug, not another form of TRT. The fertility section explains why a bundle is not a fertility guarantee.1 14
Other medication, extra testing and state-specific charges: Get an itemized quote. We did not establish one complete add-on price list or test the checkout. We have not treated unconfirmed charges as zero.
The 2.5-month minimum, in real money
| Testosterone program | Published monthly figure | Minimum-purchase arithmetic, before labs |
|---|---|---|
| Testosterone | $99.99 | $249.98, rounded from $249.975 |
| Testosterone plus the separate hCG add-on | $180 | $450.00 |
These calculations use the published minimum; they are not screenshots of actual checkout charges.1
A separate non-TRT offering: TRT Nation also lists enclomiphene at $99.99 for a 30-day supply. Do not apply the testosterone program's 2.5-month terms to it without a quote, and do not mistake it for an FDA-approved testosterone product.1 15
The product page also carries a note that California pricing may vary, with no explanation attached. If you're in California, get your number in writing.1
One thing almost every cost article gets wrong
Annual price and cash actually paid are not the same thing.
Annualized program value: 12 × $99.99 = $1,199.88, before labs or other charges.
Purchase-block scenario: Five purchases at the advertised 2.5-month minimum represent 12.5 advertised months and about $1,250 in program payments. The fifth payment can fall within the first year under that model, while part of its purchase period extends beyond it. Your actual order dates, prescription and charges may differ.
The extra half-month doesn't vanish. It just means the money can leave your account faster than a “monthly” price suggests, and the last block runs past the twelve-month mark.
Budget for the blocks, not the monthly figure.
First-year scenarios—not a promised first-year bill
The columns below use the same $99.99 program price and $129 listed panel price. The panel counts are examples for budgeting, not a recommended testing schedule. An additional early-morning confirmation test, a different panel or a clinical need can change both the total and the timing.
| Number of $129 panels in the example | Twelve-month annualized program value plus panels | Five-purchase cash scenario plus panels |
|---|---|---|
| Two | $1,457.88 | About $1,508 |
| Three | $1,586.88 | About $1,637 |
| Four | $1,715.88 | About $1,766 |
How to reproduce it: annualized total = $1,199.88 + ($129 × panel count). Purchase-block total ≈ $1,250 + ($129 × panel count). The approximate column allows for checkout rounding rather than inventing an invoice.1 5
The three-panel annualized figure is the source of the often-useful $1,587 estimate. It is not the same as cash paid in a year and cannot establish the cheapest complete program. California pricing, additional clinical services or tests, add-on medication, discounts and any other unquoted charges are not resolved by this model.
For your own budget, list each expected payment date, what it buys, whether it renews, and any required cost still unknown. Add charges due within your first 12 months; show any prepaid care beyond that window separately. Our TRT cost guide explains the wider care-cost questions.
TRT Nation's low monthly price does not cancel the cost of getting the upfront terms wrong.
That's our editorial conclusion. The minimum purchase and refund wording belong in the same decision—not in separate tabs after you've paid.

What happens to your money if TRT Nation says no?
TRT Nation's cancellation policy and cost article describe refunds differently. The complaint record shows that refunds have occurred, including after a clinical decline, but it cannot establish your contractual rights. Get the terms for your purchase in writing before paying.6 7 11
This is the most important section on the page. The upfront purchase and the refund terms have to make sense together.
The Refund and Cancellation Policy reserves the right to apply a “No Refund and No Return policy on all purchases made” and describes charges for the full 2.5-month period. The April 21, 2026 cost article describes a full refund when you and the provider decide treatment is not right. Both pages were live when checked.6 7
Here's the scenario to settle before paying
You pay for an intake, testing or a treatment package. After reviewing your history and results, a clinician decides not to prescribe—or says more evaluation is needed.
Which charges are returned? Which services have already been provided? Does the refund include labs? Does the answer change after a prescription reaches the pharmacy?
Those are the useful questions. One blood-test number does not answer them, and a review about another patient does not create a refund promise for you.
That's the risk in a sentence: a possible refund is not the same as a clearly explained refund process.
The complaint that shows why the sequence matters
The October 2025 complaint raised a concern about paying for testing before medical clearance was resolved. Its later business response said a full refund, including labs, had been made. The refund is the business's account; the record does not independently establish every part of either party's report.11
The practical lesson is to ask what medical review happens before each charge, what still needs a paid consultation, and what happens to your money after a decline. Support staff cannot guarantee a clinician's future decision. A medical history that needs specialist review should lead to that review—not a promise of approval to close the sale.
What “cancel anytime” actually means here
Two things, and they're different.
Future orders: the policy says refills are not automatic; you request them. That is a refill statement, not proof that no recurring billing authorization or other charge can exist. Confirm billing separately.6
Money already paid: ask which amounts remain refundable before and after a lab order, consultation, prescription and dispensing. We did not find a complete self-serve cancellation walkthrough on the pages checked. Use the provider's contact channel to obtain the method and written confirmation.6 16
“No long-term contract” is not the same as “no upfront commitment.” The testosterone product page still lists a 2.5-month minimum.1
The fine print you're agreeing to
TRT Nation's website terms include an individual-dispute/class-action waiver and name Florida law and courts in Hillsborough County. We are reporting the published wording, not deciding its scope or enforceability for a particular patient dispute.8
Save the version that applies to your purchase along with the quote and any written clarification. Do not assume an informal answer cancels every other term.
Ask these before you pay—all of them, in writing
Copy this. It works on any clinic, not just this one.
- Is my state currently served? Please confirm the requirements for where I will be during the appointment.
- What is the exact total charged at checkout, including the 2.5-month minimum? Please separate medication, tests, visits, shipping and other required charges.
- If a provider decides I'm not a candidate after my consultation, what is refunded? Your cancellation policy reserves a no-refund position; please explain which exception applies and whether labs are included.
- What review of my medical history happens before payment? What requires a paid consultation or outside clearance, and what happens to charges if treatment is declined?
- Which pharmacy fills my prescription, and what exact product will it dispense? Is it FDA-approved or compounded? For a compound, is the source a 503A pharmacy or a 503B outsourcing facility?
- What follow-up testing and visits will my clinician require, and what does each cost? Does the listed $129 panel cover the planned tests?
- How do you confirm low testosterone with repeat early-morning testing? How many draws are included in my quoted price, and will my existing results count?
- Are syringes and supplies included in every shipment? Are shipping and any replacement charges included too?
- What is the current wait time to book a consultation—not the advertised timeline? Who is my clinician, and how do I book follow-up or escalate a clinical concern?
- How do I cancel, and what exactly is non-refundable at each stage? Please confirm refill requests, billing authorization and any cancellation deadline separately.
- What happens if my shipment is lost or damaged? Who investigates, who authorizes a replacement, what might I pay, and how is ongoing care handled?
- How do I get a copy of my medical records if I leave? Who holds them, which request form is needed, and what response time and fees apply?
A blank answer is a question to resolve. It is not a reason to guess.
→ Open TRT Nation's contact page with these questions. Ask for the provider's designated clinical channel before sending personal health information; a general pricing question does not require your full medical history.
Can TRT Nation treat you in your state?
TRT Nation's homepage lists Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Missouri and Hawaii as excluded. Its FAQ says availability is confirmed during intake. That is a published program claim, not independent confirmation that a particular clinician and pharmacy can serve you.2 3
State coverage isn't one question, it's four: whether a clinician is licensed where you are located, whether that state adds its own telemedicine rules, whether the pharmacy can dispense and ship there, and whether the needed testing is available. A clinic can clear three and fail the fourth.17
The five exclusions leave 45 states in the homepage's stated coverage, but do not read that arithmetic as a verified license map. Confirm the selected program and your location before paying. Do not assume that a laboratory's ability to take your blood establishes prescribing access.
Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance in the United States and requires a valid prescription. The federal telemedicine extension does not remove state requirements or guarantee a prescription.17 18
What are you actually being prescribed?
TRT Nation's cost article describes testosterone cypionate, and its FAQ says medications are sourced from licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies. Those statements do not identify the exact finished product you would receive. Ask for the product and pharmacy; a pharmacy's ability to compound does not establish that every item it dispenses is compounded.3 7
Compounded vs FDA-approved, in plain English
| Question | FDA-approved testosterone product | Compounded testosterone preparation |
|---|---|---|
| What is it? | A specific finished product approved by the FDA. Depo-Testosterone is one example; approval attaches to the actual product.19 | A preparation made through compounding rather than approved as that finished drug product.20 |
| Has the FDA reviewed that finished product for safety, effectiveness and quality before marketing? | Yes, through the drug-approval process. | No. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved.20 |
| Does it have FDA-approved prescribing information? | The approved product has its own labeling, warnings and indications. | A compound does not have FDA-approved labeling for that preparation.20 |
| Does the phrase “testosterone cypionate” settle the question? | No. Ask which exact product is being dispensed. | No. An ingredient name is not proof of approval or equivalence. |
Neither regulatory category, by itself, establishes what a particular pharmacy sent you. But a compounded preparation is not an FDA-approved generic, it is not established as “the same as” a brand-name product, and nobody should tell you it is without the evidence that exact claim requires.20
Compounding can meet a patient's need when an approved drug cannot. It also has quality and safety risks, and lawful compounding must meet the applicable requirements. A pharmacy license is not approval of the product.20
Why 503A vs 503B is worth one question
A 503A pharmacy generally compounds for identified patients under prescription requirements and primarily state oversight; FDA authority still applies. A 503B outsourcing facility registers with the FDA and is subject to additional federal requirements, including current good manufacturing practice. It can compound qualifying drugs without patient-specific prescriptions.20
Neither label is FDA approval of the preparation. The practical question is which facility supplies your medicine, what it makes and which records apply—not which badge sounds better.
TRT Nation did not identify your dispensing pharmacy in the pages we checked. That is question 5 on the list above. This audit did not establish a pharmacy license, inspection record or patient-specific product for you.
What the FDA changed in 2025—and what happened in 2026
On February 28, 2025, FDA announced testosterone-label changes following its review of cardiovascular and blood-pressure evidence. These included removing boxed-warning language about increased adverse cardiovascular outcomes and adding or updating blood-pressure warnings. That was not a declaration that testosterone has no risks.21
At that time, FDA retained the limitation about age-related hypogonadism. A later announcement matters: on June 18, 2026, HHS said FDA was requesting removal of that limitation and revisions to prostate-cancer and enlarged-prostate labeling. It also acknowledged continuing uncertainty about long-term prostate risk.22
These were requested labeling changes, not proof that every individual product's label had already changed. For example, the Depo-Testosterone prescribing information available during this audit still contained age-related limitation language. Check the current label for the exact medicine; do not use a press announcement to clear a personal medical risk.19 22
Separately, on April 16, 2026, FDA encouraged makers of approved testosterone products to discuss a possible additional indication for low libido in men with idiopathic hypogonadism—low testosterone without an identified cause. An invitation to seek a new indication is not itself an approval.23
And these labeling actions do not turn compounded preparations into FDA-approved drugs.20
What does medical guidance say about diagnosis?
A low-testosterone diagnosis requires compatible symptoms or signs plus consistently low, accurately measured testosterone. The Endocrine Society recommends confirmation with repeat early-morning fasting testing, with free testosterone measured when indicated. A symptom quiz, one result or one cutoff cannot make that diagnosis.4 24
The Society's July 16, 2026 statement reinforced its clinical guideline rather than replacing a full evaluation with a number. It describes a common clinical threshold near 300 ng/dL, but that number is not a universal diagnosis or a promise that a provider will prescribe.24
Three findings from that statement matter directly to anyone shopping for an online TRT program.
One: the same blood sample can read “low” at one lab and “normal” at another. The Society is blunt about this. Testing is often inaccurate because assays—the methods used to test a sample—aren't standardised across laboratories. It recommends assays certified under the CDC's Hormone Standardization programme. If your entire treatment decision rests on one number from one panel, that's a thinner foundation than it looks.24
Two: “age-related,” “late-onset” and “functional” low testosterone are terms the Society says are hard to define. Its concern is that they blur the line between a treatable medical condition and normal ageing. Symptoms such as low energy can have other causes; an evaluation should consider those causes too.24
Three: the safety picture is genuinely mixed. The Society reports no meaningful increase in heart attack or stroke over one to four years in the more-than-5,200-man TRAVERSE studies. That's the good news, and the trial informed FDA's removal of the cardiovascular boxed-warning language.21 24
The Society also reports roughly a 50% relative increase in pulmonary embolism—a blood clot in the lung—and more fractures among testosterone-treated men. A relative increase is not a 50% chance of a clot, and these results do not measure TRT Nation's outcomes. The Society also notes that prostate cancer develops slowly and the trials may not have run long enough, so screening before you start and monitoring while you're on it still matter.24
What this means for you, practically: one number on one morning isn't a diagnosis, and no online quiz—including ours—can tell you whether you have low testosterone. We don't interpret your labs and we don't diagnose. What we can tell you is what to ask: how will the clinician confirm the diagnosis, and which tests are included in the quote?
TRT Nation's cost article itself describes confirmation with separate morning blood tests. Its $129 order is a lab-panel listing, not evidence that two separate diagnostic draws are included. A provider's published standard is not proof of how it was applied to an individual patient.5 7
Our guide to TRT blood tests explains the difference between diagnostic testing, tests for the cause, and ongoing safety monitoring.
When specialist or local care should come first
Start with primary care, urology or endocrinology when an unresolved or complex problem needs assessment—for example, a suspected pituitary or testicular disorder, infertility, prostate or breast cancer history, elevated red blood cell counts, untreated severe sleep apnea, or a recent major heart event. The right clinician can determine what evaluation and setting are needed.4
This is not a claim that online clinicians cannot diagnose or provide follow-up. It is a reason not to treat a paid intake, a quiz or a medication package as a substitute for the evaluation your situation requires. Our online vs local care guide can help you compare those settings.
What if you want children in the next few years?
Testosterone taken from outside your body can suppress sperm production, sometimes substantially. If having children is part of your plans, discuss that before choosing a general TRT program. Neither an hCG bundle nor an enclomiphene offer guarantees preserved or restored fertility.4 14
That's an effect of the medication itself, not a criticism of any clinic. If having children in the next few years is on the table, that conversation belongs with a urologist, reproductive urologist, or fertility-aware clinician before you start a general online TRT program—not after.
TRT Nation lists a testosterone + hCG bundle at $180/month and enclomiphene at $99.99 for 30 days. Its product page uses the benefit line “Preserves Fertility” for enclomiphene. A product-card claim is not evidence that an individual patient's fertility will be preserved.1
hCG and enclomiphene are not the same as TRT
| Option | What it is | Approval and fertility distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Testosterone | Replacement hormone | Can suppress sperm production. Individual effects and recovery are not guaranteed.14 |
| hCG | A separate hormone drug that may be used in selected reproductive or hormone conditions | Some hCG products, including Pregnyl, have approved uses for selected male hypogonadotropic hypogonadism—low testosterone caused by too little hormone signaling from the brain. That does not approve every use alongside TRT or identify TRT Nation's product.25 |
| Enclomiphene | A non-testosterone drug studied for stimulating the body's own hormone production | FDA's reviewed regulatory record describes enclomiphene as unapproved; we found no FDA approval for the offering described here. It is not TRT, and an unapproved drug is different from an approved drug used off-label.15 |
Enclomiphene isn't testosterone replacement therapy and shouldn't be called TRT—it works through a different mechanism, stimulating the body's own hormone production rather than replacing testosterone. That does not establish a fertility benefit for an individual patient.15
A checkmark on a product card is not a fertility plan. And nobody—not us, not TRT Nation, not any clinic—can promise you'll keep, lose or regain fertility on any timeline.
If near-term fertility is central to your decision, the right first stop is a urologist or reproductive urologist who can evaluate you properly, discuss a semen analysis, and coordinate with whatever hormone therapy you end up on.14
Read the TRT and fertility guide for questions to take to that appointment.

How long does TRT Nation take, and who treats you?
TRT Nation's cost article estimates 7–14 days from consultation to medication delivery. Its FAQ separately describes 1–3 business days of processing and 3–5 business days of delivery after approval. These estimates do not include every possible intake, testing or appointment delay, and we did not test them.3 7
The published sequence is intake, labs or accepted outside reports, consultation, a clinical decision, and dispensing/shipping if prescribed. The provider names Labcorp and Quest for testing and describes FedEx shipping. Existing reports still need confirmation because the outside-lab windows differ.2 3 5
Appointment access is not the same as support hours
On who treats you: TRT Nation says providers specialise in hormone therapy and that unlimited virtual consultations are included. The reviewed pages did not establish the clinician assigned to an individual reader. Ask for the name, credentials and licensing state, and distinguish an administrative support reply from a clinical consultation.3 7
Support hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm Eastern—a 35-hour weekly window, which is worth knowing if you work full-time and something goes wrong on a Saturday. This is the posted support window, not a measured response time or proof that every clinician works those exact hours.2
Customer reports include booking, communication and refill concerns, but they do not establish a typical wait or prove where delays usually occur. Ask what the current booking lead time is, not just what the delivery estimate says.9 11
What ongoing monitoring is included?
The FAQ's sequence ends in annual labs, while the cost article describes six-monthly testing once stable. Neither description is your personal monitoring plan. Have the clinician set out the visits and tests, who reviews them, how you receive results, and what happens when a result needs attention.3 7
Ask specifically about blood pressure, blood counts and other monitoring relevant to your health and the actual medication. Testosterone can raise blood pressure and red blood cell levels; tests are not just a refill formality.19 21
The $129 standard panel is publicly listed for an order form with new and existing patients. The price of a different panel, extra diagnostic draw, outside specialist visit or other required care remains a separate quote question.5
Refills, lost shipments and medical records
Refills: TRT Nation's policy says they are patient-requested, not automatic. Ask how early to request a review, which tests must be current, and who handles a delay. A refill request is not a guarantee of approval or a shipping date.6
Lost or damaged shipment: the FAQ directs patients to support and says the pharmacy investigates and arranges replacement. We did not verify a guaranteed replacement deadline or a no-charge promise. Ask for the case number, responsible contact, any charge and the clinical plan if medication is delayed.3
Medical records: the website privacy policy describes website data; it is not a complete clinical-record transfer procedure. Ask the care team to identify the records custodian, release form, permitted delivery method, fees and expected response date. We did not verify a patient-record export process.26
Already on TRT elsewhere and switching? Read how to switch TRT providers first. Don't assume a new clinic continues your existing prescription unchanged. Coordinate the records, clinical responsibility and pharmacy process with both care teams rather than changing treatment yourself.
Does online prescribing require an in-person visit in 2026?
The DEA and HHS temporary extension permits qualifying telemedicine prescribing of controlled substances through December 31, 2026, subject to its conditions. It does not make every online prescription lawful or override state law. A clinician still needs the required authority and must issue a valid prescription for a legitimate medical purpose.17 18 27
The fourth temporary extension took effect January 1, 2026. Under this pathway, testosterone prescribing without the otherwise required prior in-person evaluation generally uses a qualifying audio-video encounter; the rule's separate audio-only provisions for certain opioid-use-disorder treatment are not a general testosterone exception.27
Other legal pathways and exceptions also exist. So it would be wrong to say the temporary extension is the only possible basis for care without an in-person visit—or that every clinic on this page automatically satisfies the rules.
State rules are a separate layer. Federal permission isn't the whole picture—individual states set their own telemedicine and controlled-substance requirements, and they change.17
We're not telling you to hurry. Manufacturing urgency around a health decision is exactly the thing this page exists to argue against. We're telling you this is a live regulatory question and your clinic should explain any in-person requirement now and how it would handle a change after the current extension.
The current extension does not settle a particular patient's requirements in 2027. Ask the provider how it will notify patients and arrange any required visits if the rules change.
Who should choose another provider or care route?
TRT Nation's package structure may suit someone comparing cash-pay injections, but price alone does not settle the choice. Male Excel and Taurus Meds offer other structures, with their own fees and refund limits. Neither is an automatic solution to TRT Nation's unanswered questions.
The alternatives below are for readers whose needs are not met—not a reason to abandon TRT Nation when its verified offer fits. Our affiliate relationships with Male Excel and Taurus Meds are disclosed above; these are direct source links, not paid enrollment links.
First-year price components: three programs, the same seven checks
These are published-price illustrations, not complete comparable quotes. They assume 12 months at each stated program price without changes. Different bundles, payment schedules, testing needs and missing charges prevent a verified cheapest-provider ranking.
| Cost check | TRT Nation | Male Excel | Taurus Meds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intake or entry fee | No separate intake fee established for the advertised package; confirm the quote.7 | $99 online medical consultation listed separately.13 | The linked campaign advertises $49 for testing and consultation.28 |
| Minimum purchase or payment structure | 2.5 months; about $250 before labs.1 | Injection bundle priced per month but billed every other month; exact initial total needs a quote.13 | The $149 monthly campaign and applicable checkout terms need confirmation.28 |
| Twelve-month program/medication component | $1,199.88 annualized, before labs | From $1,440 for the listed injection/thyroid bundle, before membership and extras | $1,788 at the campaign's $149/month, before unresolved charges |
| Twelve-month membership component | No separate membership in the stated package.7 | $1,188 at $99/month.13 | Campaign says no membership; general terms list $17.99 per billing period unless otherwise stated at purchase. Do not assume which applies.28 29 |
| Initial testing | $129 standard panel, or accepted outside reports; further diagnostic testing may be needed.5 | Confirm the initial testing charge and what the $99 consultation includes. | Campaign includes testing in its $49 offer; confirm the exact tests and repeat-testing needs.28 |
| Follow-up testing, visits and shipping | Stated package includes visits and shipping; standard panel is $129, but clinical needs and cadence affect the bill.5 7 | Six-month panels are described elsewhere; complete testing inclusion needs confirmation. Shipping/handling is extra on the cost page.13 30 | Campaign uses all-inclusive wording; get follow-up, laboratory, pharmacy and shipping inclusions in writing.28 |
| What the arithmetic can honestly show | $1,586.88 annualized with three $129 panels, or about $1,637 in the five-purchase scenario | From $2,727 for 12 × ($120 + $99), plus the listed $99 consultation; still excludes unconfirmed charges and shipping | $1,837 for $49 + 12 × $149 before any applicable membership or other charges |
Counting only Male Excel's medication and membership gives $2,628, but leaves out its separately listed $99 consultation. If a quote credits or waives a charge, use that written quote; we did not assume a credit. Taurus's arithmetic likewise cannot turn campaign wording into a confirmed all-in contract.
No provider gets a cost win by treating its unknown charges as zero. Compare actual payment dates and the same clinically appropriate testing—not just the monthly labels.
What each one publishes before you pay
| Disclosure | TRT Nation | Male Excel | Taurus Meds |
|---|---|---|---|
| State information | Homepage names five exclusions; FAQ says confirm intake. These statements can both be true.2 3 | FAQ names eleven exclusions.31 | Confirm the selected program and state before paying. |
| Pharmacy information | Exact dispensing pharmacy not established by the reviewed pages. | A U.S. compounding description is not identification of your assigned pharmacy.30 | Terms name RedRock, Health Warehouse, Precision Compounding Pharmacy and Triad Rx as partners; actual assignment is not established.29 |
| Laboratory information | Labcorp and Quest are named.3 5 | The company names Excel Medical Labs in North Carolina and describes CLIA certification; we did not independently verify that certificate.30 | Campaign names Labcorp and Quest and offers a free at-home kit when more than 50 miles from those facilities; confirm availability for your location.28 |
| Clinician information | Your assigned clinician was not established. | Medical leadership includes Peter Fotinos, MD, and Lorna A. Brudie, DO. This does not identify your assigned prescriber or independently verify licensure.32 | Terms identify a partner management organization; ask who actually provides your clinical care.29 |
| Repeat-testing cost | $129 standard panel listed; individual testing needs and other charges still need a quote.5 | Do not assume every required panel is included without written confirmation. | Do not infer full testing inclusion from “all-inclusive” alone. |
| Refund position | No-refund reservation plus a separately described exception.6 7 | Advertised conditional three-month membership-fee guarantee; general terms otherwise make sales final unless stated in writing.30 33 | Campaign guarantee excludes lab/pharmacy fees; cancellation and service-stage limits also appear in the policies.28 34 |
| Support hours | Monday–Friday, 10am–5pm Eastern.2 | Monday–Sunday, 7am–9pm Eastern.13 | We did not establish a TRT-specific clinician-access schedule. |
| Minimum age | Provider states 24+.5 | Confirm program eligibility; no age floor was established from this audit's pages. | General terms require adult users, but that is not a clinical eligibility decision.29 |
Named leaders, labs or partner pharmacies are useful starting points for verification. They do not prove that a particular patient will be treated by that person or receive medication from that facility.
Where Male Excel may be worth investigating
Male Excel costs more in the published-price illustration because it charges a $99 monthly membership on top of medication, plus a separately listed consultation and shipping. Its injection-price listing also bundles thyroid medication. Ask what is actually indicated and prescribed for you; thyroid treatment is not an automatic requirement of TRT.13
The useful differences are things you can investigate before paying: named medical leadership, a named laboratory, and a longer published support window. None proves better clinical care or faster access to a prescriber.13 30 32
It also advertises a conditional guarantee: follow the provider's plan for 90 days and, if symptoms do not improve, three months of membership fees are refunded. That is not a refund of all medication, testing, shipping or consultation costs, and its general terms otherwise state a final-sale position unless an exception is given in writing.30 33
Two honest caveats so nothing surprises you. The guarantee covers membership fees, not medication. And the company's compounded-testosterone description is not FDA approval of a finished product. Ask for the exact product and pharmacy.20 30
If longer published support hours and a membership-based service are what you were missing, compare those terms—not an assumed risk-free refund.
→ Review Male Excel's published membership and treatment costs. This is an information page, not an eligibility decision.
If you're in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire or Rhode Island, Male Excel's FAQ lists your state as excluded. Do not use this alternative without resolving state access.31
Where Taurus Meds may be worth investigating
The linked Taurus campaign advertises $49 for a blood test and consultation, then $149/month, with no membership fee. Its homepage has also promoted a different entry offer. Treat the exact landing page and checkout as an offer to verify, not one universal price.28 35
The important limitation is in its own terms: a recurring membership fee can apply unless otherwise stated at purchase. Its refund page also distinguishes medical disqualification from services already provided, while its campaign's 90-day guarantee excludes laboratory and pharmacy fees. The cancellation page calls for at least 72 hours' notice before the next billing date; confirm that deadline and the terms for your offer before assuming you can recover every dollar.28 29 34
Taurus is therefore an alternative to investigate for an upfront testing/consultation offer, not a verified “cheapest all-in with a full refund” winner. Ask the same twelve questions. A more attractive campaign price does not remove the need to check who treats you, the actual drug and pharmacy, your state and ongoing costs.
→ Compare Taurus Meds' published $49 offer with its inclusions and read the refund terms before entering a paid process.
Find yourself in this table
| If this is you | Start here | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Properly evaluated, wants cash-pay injections and can settle the quote and refund terms | TRT Nation's written offer | No separate stated membership fee, accepted outside-lab option and a clear published minimum purchase; actual fit still depends on clinical review.1 3 7 |
| Wants longer published support hours and is willing to investigate a higher-cost membership model | Male Excel's cost and service terms | Its support window and membership structure are public; its guarantee is limited, not a full-cost promise.13 30 |
| Wants an upfront test/consultation offer | Taurus's exact campaign and checkout terms | The advertised $49 offer is concrete, but membership and refund qualifications need clarification.28 29 34 |
| Lives in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Missouri or Hawaii | Another verified care option—not TRT Nation's listed program | TRT Nation names those exclusions.2 |
| Not sure low testosterone is the cause, or has a complex medical history | Primary care, urology or endocrinology | Evaluation and the appropriate care setting come before a medication package.4 |
| Wants children in the next few years | Urologist or reproductive urologist first | Testosterone can suppress sperm production. Sequence matters.14 |
| Wants a specific FDA-approved gel, oral product, injection or another treatment format | A prescriber and pharmacy that confirm that exact product | A general testosterone or compounding offer is not proof of access. Compare treatment formats. |
| Wants to use insurance | The health plan and an appropriate in-network care route | Confirm covered clinicians, medication, testing and any authorization; do not assume these cash-pay illustrations become covered bills. |
| Already on TRT elsewhere and switching | Read how to switch TRT providers first | Don't assume a new clinic continues your existing prescription unchanged. |
What else should you know before paying TRT Nation?
Payment, testing, clinical approval and dispensing are separate events. These answers close the common questions left after comparing the reviews and policies. Any quote-specific answer should be saved with its date.
Is TRT Nation legit?
Its terms identify Nation Medical Inc., and BBB reports a business dating to September 2019. That supports a public business identity, not blanket verification of every clinician, pharmacy, certification or treatment practice. Ask for the actual clinician and pharmacy names.8 10
How much is TRT Nation per month?
The testosterone product page lists $99.99/month with a 2.5-month minimum—about $250 before labs. The standard listed panel is $129; your required testing and any state-specific quote can change the total. The first-year table separates annualized value from a purchase-block cash scenario.1 5
Does TRT Nation give refunds?
Refunds are documented in its BBB record, but the cancellation policy reserves a broad no-refund position while the cost article describes an exception. Ask which amounts are refundable at your current stage, including lab charges, and obtain the process in writing.6 7 11
What states does TRT Nation serve?
The homepage names five exclusions: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Missouri and Hawaii. Its FAQ says availability is confirmed during intake. Confirm your program and appointment location rather than treating a website list as proof of prescribing authority.2 3 17
Is TRT Nation's testosterone FDA-approved?
This audit did not establish the exact finished product supplied to an individual patient. TRT Nation describes testosterone cypionate and compounding-pharmacy sourcing. A compounded preparation is not FDA-approved, but the pharmacy description alone is not enough to identify every product it dispenses.3 7 20
Can I use my own lab results with TRT Nation?
The provider says outside results may be accepted. Its homepage gives a six-month window; its FAQ typically says 120 days. Ask it to review your actual reports and collection dates, including whether another early-morning confirmation test or other evaluation is needed.2 3 4
How long does TRT Nation take to ship?
The FAQ lists 1–3 business days of processing and 3–5 business days of delivery after approval. The cost article estimates 7–14 days from consultation to delivery. Neither is a measured signup-to-delivery guarantee, and time for labs, additional review or booking may come first.3 7
Can you cancel TRT Nation?
The policy says refills are requested rather than automatic. That does not establish all billing terms. Ask how to cancel care and future charges, which prepaid amounts can be refunded, and how any pending lab or pharmacy order is handled.6
Does TRT Nation take insurance, an HSA or an FSA?
Treat the prices in this guide as cash-pay budgeting figures. We did not establish an individual's insurance benefits or reimbursement eligibility. Ask TRT Nation how it handles billing and documentation, then confirm covered visits, tests, medication and any reimbursement with your insurer or benefits administrator. Do not assume paying a provider means a claim will be reimbursed.
What's the minimum age for TRT Nation?
Its site states 24+ for the testosterone program. That does not mean every adult over 24 is eligible; symptoms, history, testing and a clinician's assessment still matter.3 5
Does TRT Nation treat women?
Its testosterone material describes a men's program, while its FAQ also discusses weight-loss services for women. So “TRT Nation does not treat women” is too broad. This article does not establish an appropriate testosterone-care pathway for women or for gender-affirming care.3
Will TRT affect my fertility?
It can suppress sperm production. Discuss current or future fertility plans with the clinician before treatment; near-term plans may call for a reproductive urologist. No clinic can promise you'll keep, lose or regain fertility on a timeline.4 14
Does paying for labs mean I'm approved?
No. Testing and a clinician's treatment decision are separate steps. TRT Nation's own article describes situations in which treatment is not pursued after consultation. Ask about both the evaluation process and refund terms before paying.7
Why does TRT Nation's website show 4.9 while Trustpilot shows 1.9?
They are different review collections. We verified the figure displayed by TRT Nation and the separate Trustpilot profile; we did not establish a reliable explanation based on patient age, length of treatment or when problems happen. Neither average proves the result you will have.2 9
Why doesn't this page give TRT Nation a star rating?
Because we've never been a TRT Nation patient. A score we invented would look authoritative and mean nothing. The documents and the numbers are more useful than a number we made up.
What's our take, in plain terms?
TRT Nation is worth investigating for a properly evaluated reader comparing cash-pay injections. Its published minimum purchase, outside-lab option and lack of a separate stated membership fee are useful facts. The unresolved refund, lab-window and monitoring descriptions need written answers before those facts become a clear personal offer.1 2 3 6 7
The review record contains both positive experiences and complaints. The six displayed BBB complaints now have responses, and some outcomes include consumer-confirmed refunds. Those responses belong in the review alongside the complaints; they are not a guarantee of service.2 9 11
The risk is not confined to your first two weeks. Appointment access, monitoring, refills, pharmacy fulfillment and leaving care still matter after the first prescription. Do not let a low monthly figure stand in for answers about them.
If the written offer fits your needs, there is no reason to pay more just because another clinic appears later on this page. If a required answer stays missing—or your health, fertility, insurance or treatment-format needs point elsewhere—choose the care route that resolves that need.
Either way, you now know more about TRT Nation than their own homepage will tell you.
