Cost Plus TRT Cost: What You'll Actually Pay in 2026
Cost Plus TRT cost is $119 a month for new patients and $89 a month for men already on TRT who supply all their labs. Bundled plans charge $178–$297.50 up front. At those rates, 12 months costs $1,068–$1,428 before extras. Its consent lists 16 states; its published TRT plans use injections.
That's the headline. Here's what most people miss: Cost Plus TRT also posts an à la carte price list on a different page of its site. The arithmetic is much lower, but the page does not say whether those items replace the bundle or cover the same care. We'll show you that math, what it doesn't tell you, and the questions to ask before you hand over a card. [3]
Cost Plus TRT is worth pricing if:
- You're 18 or older and live in one of its 16 states
- You're fine with injections
- You want a low published price and can check the extras before paying
Start somewhere else if:
- You live outside its states
- You want cream or gel and Cost Plus TRT cannot confirm that option
- You may want children now or later
- You need an in-person or specialist assessment before choosing treatment
- You need insurance billing and Cost Plus TRT cannot confirm it

Our method: How We Review TRT Providers.
The right TRT provider is not the same for every person. It depends on:
- whether low testosterone has been properly evaluated
- your symptoms and health history
- your fertility plans
- your state
- your insurance or cash-pay preference
- your treatment-format preference
- your budget
- whether online or in-person care is the better starting point
Some situations belong with primary care, urology, endocrinology, reproductive urology, or urgent or emergency care when the symptoms warrant it. Because a general answer cannot resolve those for you, use TRT Provider Guide's Find My TRT Path tool to map your situation to the right care route and the questions to ask before you pay.
How much does Cost Plus TRT cost per month?
Cost Plus TRT's published bundled plans charge $89 a month for men already on TRT who supply all their own labs, and $119 for transfer patients needing labs or new patients. The $119 plans include a first lab panel; new patients also get a follow-up panel at 10 weeks. Every bundled plan lists testosterone cypionate injections up to 160 mg a week, supplies, shipping, and provider visits. [1]
The TRT program page shows three plan cards, and which one you land in depends on two things: whether you're already on TRT, and who handles your bloodwork.
Transfer, bring your own labs — $89/month. For men already on testosterone who can upload recent lab results. Cost Plus TRT's get-started page asks whether you have results from the last six months and says they must include four markers:
- Total testosterone — all the testosterone in your blood
- Hemoglobin — the oxygen-carrying protein in red blood cells
- PSA (prostate-specific antigen) — a protein clinicians track for prostate health
- LH (luteinizing hormone) — a signal from the pituitary gland, at the base of the brain, that tells the testicles to make testosterone
The clinician still has to accept your results and may need other tests. [3] [1]
Transfer, needs labs — $119/month. Same as above, but Cost Plus TRT orders your first panel at a Quest Diagnostics location.
New to TRT — $119/month. Includes the first panel and a second one at 10 weeks. [1]
What you pay on day one for a bundled plan. You don't pay one month at a time to start. Transfer plans charge two months up front: $178 or $238. The new-patient plan charges two and a half months: $297.50. Check the math and it's the same monthly rate:
- $178 ÷ 2 = $89
- $238 ÷ 2 = $119
- $297.50 ÷ 2.5 = $119
That upfront payment is your first stretch of care. It's not a signup fee on top of your monthly price, so don't count it twice.
What "cost plus" means here. The company says it charges the real cost of medication plus a small markup. That's the idea behind the name. But the site doesn't show you what that underlying cost is. The bundled plan cards show flat prices; the separate get-started page lists individual items. Just know that "cost plus" describes the philosophy, not a published account of the clinic's underlying costs. [6] [3]
What does Cost Plus TRT cost for a full year?
At Cost Plus TRT's posted bundled rates, 12 months of care costs $1,428 for a new patient and $1,068 for a man transferring with his own labs. Those totals assume you stay on one plan, your dose stays at or under 160 mg a week, and you buy no paid add-ons. The applicable price for later labs and higher doses is not established by the plan cards. [1] [2] [3]
Here's the first-year picture for each path, built from Cost Plus TRT's published numbers.
Annual figures are our math: monthly rate × 12. The plan cards do not publish a yearly total.
The $360 question. The two transfer plans differ by $30 a month. That's $360 over a year. If you're already on TRT, the $89 plan costs less when your out-of-pocket lab costs on that plan are less than $360 higher than on the $119 plan, with the same required care, accepted results, and other charges unchanged. Ask what they'll accept before you buy a panel somewhere else. If both plans leave you paying the same later monitoring costs, compare the $360 plan difference with the price of the first accepted panel—not your whole year of labs. [1]
Cash paid vs. care received. A first-year budget and a first-year cost aren't always the same number. If a charge lands in month 11 and covers months 11 through 13, your cash outlay that year is higher than 12 months of care. We couldn't find Cost Plus TRT's billing schedule after the first payment, so ask for the dates in writing.
Why $1,428 is a base subtotal. It is $119 multiplied by 12, not a confirmed payment schedule or the whole bill. Clinical guidelines call for ongoing monitoring once testosterone treatment starts. The AUA recommends an initial follow-up testosterone test after treatment starts, then testing every 6 to 12 months once treatment levels are stable. [25] The new-patient plan lists labs only at the start and at 10 weeks. If your six- or 12-month labs aren't included, they're extra.
If you're in one of its states and injections fit your clinician's plan, the published bundles give you a clean starting number; confirm the price for your prescription. See Cost Plus TRT's current plan prices →
Is there a cheaper way to pay Cost Plus TRT?
Possibly: Cost Plus TRT's "Get Started" page lists labs at $49, provider visits at $91, and testosterone at $78.19 per quarter. The example below totals $641.76–$690.76 if those prices apply to each purchase shown. It is not a confirmed complete first-year offer: the page does not say what each item includes or how it relates to the bundles. [3]
This is the part almost nobody talks about. Cost Plus TRT's TRT program page shows the $89 and $119 plans. But its separate "Build Your TRT Plan" page says "pay for what you want and need" and lists three prices:
- Labs: $49
- Provider visits: $91
- Testosterone: $78.19 per quarter (every three months)
Here's the arithmetic if each listed charge applies to the number of purchases shown. These examples do not establish a testing schedule, the number of required visits, or eligibility for this payment option:
Why 3 to 4 lab purchases in the example? They show how the subtotal changes with the number of $49 charges. Diagnosis and monitoring are separate steps; the provider has not confirmed that this price covers every required test. The exact schedule is your clinician's call, not ours.
Why two visits? The example uses two $91 charges. The bundled plans list a live visit every six months, but that does not establish the required visits or billing terms for the separate items.
Against the $1,428 bundle subtotal, the arithmetic gap is $737.24–$786.24, or about $740–$790. That becomes a saving only if the à la carte items replace the bundle, cover the required care, and have no other charges. We couldn't confirm:
- Whether the separate prices replace the bundle or apply alongside it
- Whether $78.19 per quarter includes supplies and shipping
- What dose that quarterly price is based on
- Whether new patients can buy à la carte, or only some patients
- Whether the $49 lab is the same panel the bundle uses
- Whether $91 is charged for each visit, how many visits are required, and whether messaging is included
None of that makes the à la carte route a trick. The public pages do not explain how the two ways of pricing relate. But it's worth one email before you check out.
If you'd rather pay only for what you use, get the à la carte terms in writing first. Ask Cost Plus TRT for an à la carte quote →
Does Cost Plus TRT include labs?
Both $119 bundled plans include a first lab panel at Quest Diagnostics, and the new-patient plan adds labs at 10 weeks. The $89 plan includes no labs at all. Cost Plus TRT's pricing page says additional labs are available as add-ons; the separate $49 listing does not say which tests it covers. [1] [2] [3]
Here's the plan-by-plan view:
Diagnosis needs more than one test
If you're new to TRT, the first labs matter twice: they set your price, and they're the basis for whether treatment makes sense at all.
The AUA says low testosterone should be diagnosed only after two total testosterone tests, taken on separate days, both early in the morning, along with symptoms or signs. It uses a level below 300 ng/dL as a "reasonable cut-off" to support the diagnosis. [25]
The Endocrine Society's July 2026 statement says something similar. Diagnosis takes symptoms plus consistently low, accurately measured testosterone, based on at least two early-morning, fasting tests. It also says symptoms alone aren't enough. Low energy, low libido, and low mood have many causes. [26]
No single number diagnoses you. Not 300, not anything else. Ask Cost Plus TRT whether its included labs cover a confirming second early-morning test on another day, or whether there is a separate charge and the $49 price applies.
The test itself matters too
The Endocrine Society points out a testing problem. Testosterone tests aren't all standardized, so the same blood sample can read "low" at one lab and "normal" at another. It recommends assays certified by the CDC's Hormone Standardization (HoST) program. [26]
It's a fair question to ask any clinic: Is my testosterone measured with a CDC-certified assay? Read more about how low testosterone is evaluated.
Safety follow-up belongs in the budget
Ask whether blood-pressure review and hematocrit monitoring are included, and who handles abnormal results. Hematocrit is the share of your blood made up of red blood cells. Testosterone can raise blood pressure and hematocrit, so monitoring is part of care. [33] [27]
If you have elevated hematocrit, untreated severe sleep apnea, uncontrolled heart failure, or a recent heart attack or stroke, start with your treating clinician or an appropriate specialist before choosing a program. A history of prostate cancer also calls for individual assessment by your treating specialist. [27] [25]
What costs extra at Cost Plus TRT?
Cost Plus TRT says doses above 160 mg a week need provider approval and cost more, and that extra labs are add-ons. Its pricing page does not state the higher-dose price or estrogen-blocker inclusion and price; the separate $49 lab listing does not define which extra tests it covers. If any of these could apply to you, get the price in writing before you pay. [2] [3]
Cost Plus TRT's pricing page lists these rules for every program:
- Dose increases above 160 mg/week need provider approval and carry an added cost. The amount isn't published.
- An estrogen blocker is available only when clinically indicated. Whether it is included or costs extra is not stated.
- Additional labs are sold as add-ons. Ask which tests the separate $49 lab price covers.
The program page adds two fertility-related add-ons, gonadorelin ODT and enclomiphene, without prices. (More on those in the fertility section below.) [1]
The 160 mg/week figure is the base-plan allowance, not a dosing suggestion. Your clinician decides your dose.
One more number to ask about. Cost Plus TRT's homepage comparison table lists its monthly cost as "$89–149/mo." We couldn't identify the applicable $149 plan in the pages we reviewed. Ask what it refers to. [4] [1]
Which states does Cost Plus TRT serve?
Cost Plus TRT's Telehealth Consent names 16 states, and you must be physically in a covered state during your telehealth visits. This is the provider's published coverage list; an appointment and a clinician authorized for your location still need confirmation. [8]
The listed states are:
Its FAQ says "most US states," but that does not expand the consent form's specific list. [5]
That leaves 34 states and Washington, D.C. off the list. Some of the biggest:
- California
- Illinois
- Pennsylvania
- Georgia
- North Carolina
- Michigan
- New Jersey
- Massachusetts
If you live there, don't look for a workaround. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance: federal law lists it as a drug with abuse potential that requires a valid prescription. The prescriber must be authorized to treat you where you are. [36] [37]
If your state isn't on the list
You still have good options:
- Male Excel lists coverage in 39 states, based on the exclusions in its own prescribing FAQ checked October 7, 2026. The listed exclusions are Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. It costs more: its required membership is $99 a month before medication. It says the membership includes a dedicated provider and unlimited e-visits, and its list covers the eight large states named above. [13] [12]
- Hone Health publishes a state-by-plan list: 35 states for men's Plus and 34 for men's Premium. The lists differ, so check the plan as well as the state. [22]
- A local doctor — primary care, urology, or endocrinology — works in every state. It may be cheapest of all if insurance covers your visits and labs.

What medication do you get from Cost Plus TRT?
Cost Plus TRT's published bundled plans list testosterone cypionate injections up to 160 mg a week. Its site doesn't say whether that testosterone is an FDA-approved product or a compounded preparation, and it doesn't name the dispensing pharmacy. Ask for the product name, manufacturer or compounder, any NDC on the label, and the dispensing pharmacy before you pay. [1] [31]
The listed injection plans — the tradeoff
Here's the honest limitation. Cost Plus TRT's published TRT plan cards list injections; we could not confirm a cream, gel, or other non-injection offer. If skipping needles is your priority, Male Excel is one option to compare. It offers a testosterone cream starting at $132 a month plus its $99 monthly membership. Male Excel describes that cream as compounded, so it's not FDA-approved. [1] [12] [14] [30]
Cost Plus TRT's published $119 bundles include the medication within the base allowance, supplies, shipping, your first labs, and provider visits. At unchanged advertised rates, the 12-month subtotals differ by about $1,300 from Male Excel's starting injection package:
- Cost Plus TRT, new patient: $1,428
- Male Excel, starting injection package: $2,727 before shipping and other applicable extras
If you're already comfortable with injections and the full quote fits, that trade may work for you.
Male Excel's cream package starts at $2,871 for 12 months at posted rates: $99 to start + 12 × ($99 membership + $132 medication), before shipping and other extras. Its advertised injection and cream packages include thyroid medication; ask what each prescribed drug is for and what your quote covers. Medication is billed every other month as a 60-day supply, so confirm the actual charge dates. [12] [13]
If you want a cream instead of shots, compare the higher listed cost with a format you're willing to use. See Male Excel's cream pricing →
An FDA-approved topical product is a different option to discuss with a clinician who can arrange that prescription and pharmacy. Our treatment-format guide explains the tradeoffs. [29]
FDA-approved vs. compounded: why it matters
FDA-approved means the FDA reviewed the exact product for safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing quality before it was sold. Testosterone cypionate is available as FDA-approved products. [34]
Compounded means a drug is made or altered to meet a patient's medical needs. The FDA states plainly that compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they're sold. [30]
Cost Plus TRT's program page says that "by using the same pharmacies as the larger companies, you get the same quality medication." That's the company's claim, not something we could verify. It doesn't answer the real question: which product, from which pharmacy? [1]
Its About page says medications ship from "DEA-licensed, state-inspected U.S. pharmacies," but doesn't name one. [6] Its add-on descriptions refer to compounding by a licensed 503A pharmacy, conditionally for gonadorelin and directly for enclomiphene. Section 503A covers compounding for individual patient prescriptions; it does not grant FDA approval. [1] [30]
What to ask:
- "What's the exact product name, manufacturer or compounder, and any NDC on the vial?" An NDC is a National Drug Code identifying a listed product. It does not establish FDA approval. [31]
- "Is it an FDA-approved finished product or compounded?"
- "Which pharmacy fills it, and where can I check its license?"
If you specifically need an FDA-approved product, get the answer in writing before you pay.
How does Cost Plus TRT's cost compare with other online TRT clinics?
On published base prices, Cost Plus TRT is one of the lower-cost online TRT options in this comparison, at $1,428 for 12 months on the new-patient bundle before extras. Vyta's $1,308 home-delivery model is lower but its listed service area is three states. Male Excel and Hone Health have higher modeled costs and different coverage or formats; Taurus advertises a $49 test-and-consult offer, with a further payment step before the clinician call.
Prices below come from each provider's official pages on the date shown. These are comparisons at unchanged advertised rates, not personal quotes or confirmed first-year cash invoices. Included services and state availability are provider-stated; unpriced charges stay outside the subtotals.
Sources: each provider's current official offer and policy pages, checked October 7, 2026. Our cheapest online TRT clinic comparison covers the wider field of 16 clinics; the figures above were checked against providers again for this page. [1] [15] [16] [17] [18] [19] [20] [21] [22] [12] [13]
The math behind the comparison:
- Vyta: $109 × 12 = $1,308, using its advertised home-delivery inclusions.
- TRT Nation: $99.99 × 12 + 3 × $129 = $1,586.88. The three-panel example uses baseline, 10-week, and later follow-up testing described in its FAQ. Confirm diagnostic repeat testing, California pricing, and payment dates: buying 2.5-month supplies can make first-year cash payments differ from 12 months at the monthly rate.
- Taurus: $49 + $149 × 12 = $1,837. Its offer says no membership fee, while its Terms authorize $17.99 per billing period unless purchase-specific terms say otherwise. If that fee applied in each of 12 monthly periods, the subtotal would be $2,052.88. The Terms do not establish that monthly frequency for this offer; confirm the fee and required follow-up costs.
- Hone Plus: $45 initial test + $45 at-lab or $80 at-home confirmation + $135 × 12 = $1,710–$1,745 before medication. Men's Premium: $65 initial test + $25 confirmation + $155 × 12 = $1,950 before medication. These are different plans, not conflicting prices for one plan. Twelve hypothetical $28 medication charges would make those figures $2,046–$2,081 and $2,286, respectively; $28 is a starting vial price, not a promise that one vial covers a calendar month.
- Male Excel: $99 + 12 × ($99 + $120) = $2,727 for the advertised starting injection package. Shipping, required tests or services outside the listed inclusions, prescription changes, and actual billing dates can change the total.
Compare like with like: the dose trap
Cost Plus TRT's $119 includes testosterone up to 160 mg a week. Hone Health's current plan pages list medication from $28 per vial, while its cost guide illustrates $28 for a 50 mg weekly dose and $112 for a 200 mg weekly dose. Those are the provider's billing examples, not dose recommendations or verified refill schedules. [20] [21] [23] When one clinic prices the medication separately, your dose drives the bill.

What does Cost Plus TRT cost if you want to protect your fertility?
Cost Plus TRT lists gonadorelin ODT and enclomiphene as "fertility support" add-ons but publishes no prices for either. More importantly, testosterone from outside the body can lower sperm production. If you may want children now or later, discuss fertility and have an appropriate reproductive health evaluation before starting TRT, usually with a urologist or reproductive urologist. [25]
This is the one section where price shouldn't lead.
Your body makes sperm through a process called spermatogenesis. It runs on signals from the pituitary gland at the base of your brain, including LH and FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone). When you take testosterone from outside the body, your brain can turn those signals down, and sperm production can drop. How much, and whether and when it recovers, varies from man to man. Nobody can promise you'll stay fertile, become infertile, or recover on a set timeline. [25] [28]
That's why:
- The AUA says men with low testosterone who are interested in fertility should have a reproductive health evaluation before treatment. [25]
- The Endocrine Society recommends against starting testosterone in men planning fertility in the near term. [27]
About the add-ons. Gonadorelin ODT and enclomiphene are not TRT, and they're not interchangeable with it. Cost Plus TRT says they are prescribed only after evaluation and refers to 503A compounding—conditionally for gonadorelin and directly for enclomiphene. ODT means a tablet that dissolves in the mouth. A compounded gonadorelin ODT is not FDA-approved, and enclomiphene has no FDA-approved product in the United States. Do not treat either add-on as a guarantee of preserved fertility. Cost Plus TRT doesn't publish what either costs in the reviewed offer pages. [1] [30] [32] [28]
What to do:
- Trying to conceive now or planning children later? Start with a urologist or reproductive urologist before choosing a TRT program.
- Not sure how fertility fits your plans? Map it out first.
Read our full guide to TRT and fertility.
If fertility, an unconfirmed diagnosis, or your health history makes the right next step unclear, map my care route with Find My TRT Path → It's educational and doesn't diagnose you or decide whether you'll be prescribed. It helps you see which kind of care fits and what to ask first.
Can you cancel Cost Plus TRT, and do you get a refund?
Cost Plus TRT's FAQ says you can pause or cancel anytime, with no long-term contract. But its Terms of Service say consultation fees generally aren't refunded once the visit happens, and medication refunds may be available in limited cases. [7] Because the bundled plans charge 2 to 2.5 months up front, ask what happens to that money if you leave early or aren't prescribed.
Here's what the documents say, and what they leave out.
What the FAQ says: "There are no long-term contracts. You can pause or cancel your treatment at any time." [5]
What the Terms of Service say (updated February 2, 2026):
- Refunds for medical consultations are generally not available once the service has been provided.
- Medication refunds "may be available in limited circumstances," subject to its refund policy and pharmacy rules.
- Prescriptions are at the provider's discretion. Paying doesn't guarantee one.
- Prices can change, and you'll be notified before your next billing cycle.
- Texas law governs. [7]
What isn't spelled out anywhere we found:
- What's refunded if the clinician decides TRT isn't right for you
- How to cancel, step by step
- How much notice you need to give
- Whether later payments renew automatically
Use the published contact page. Cost Plus TRT's Terms and Telehealth Consent list 1-888-555-0123. Its Contact page and footer instead list 720-291-8485 and support@costplustrt.com. We did not test either number. Keep your cancellation request in writing. [7] [8] [9]
"No contract" isn't the same as "refundable." You can request cancellation anytime, but completed consultation fees generally remain paid and any medication refund depends on the policy and circumstances. Ask before paying $178 to $297.50 up front. [7]
Keep access to your records. Its privacy notice says to request records in writing from its Privacy Officer. Ask about turnaround, format, and any fee. The published notice provides the contact details; ask how to send the records to your next clinician. [11]
Refills and support. The plans list secure messaging and live visits every six months, but that is not a refill schedule or a promise of a reply within a set time. Ask when to request refills, what labs or visits are needed first, and what happens if care is delayed. [1]
Is Cost Plus TRT legit, and is it Mark Cuban's company?
Cost Plus TRT's About page says it borrowed the pricing idea from Mark Cuban's Cost Plus Drugs; that does not establish an ownership or partnership relationship. Its launch announcement describes a Colorado-based telehealth company, and its About page names Jon Snipes, MD as founder and medical director. Those statements identify the business's own account; they do not independently verify its clinicians, dispensing pharmacy, or quality of care. [6] [10]
Cost Plus TRT vs. Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs
The names are close, so people mix them up. Cost Plus Drugs is Mark Cuban's online pharmacy. Cost Plus TRT is a separate telehealth clinic at costplustrt.com. Its About page says the founder drew "on a model borrowed from Mark Cuban's Cost Plus Drugs." That describes inspiration; we did not verify an ownership or partnership relationship. The prices on this page are Cost Plus TRT's, not Cost Plus Drugs'.
Who runs it
Cost Plus TRT announced its launch on October 13, 2025 out of Denver, Colorado. Its About page names Jon Snipes, MD as founder and medical director.
That page describes him two ways. In his bio, he's a "double board-certified addiction psychiatrist." In a byline lower on the same page, he's "board-certified internal medicine." We did not independently resolve the conflicting specialty claims. [6]
A psychiatry background doesn't stop a licensed physician from prescribing testosterone. The prescriber still needs the applicable state and controlled-substance authority and must practice within their competence. But you should know who's treating you. [38] [37] [35] Ask who your prescribing clinician will be, then look them up on your state medical board's website.

External profiles do exist: TeleRanked, for example, discloses that a partner has an ownership stake in Cost Plus TRT. We did not verify an independent patient-outcome record from those profiles. Seven differences and questions in Cost Plus TRT's own pages
None of these is proof of wrongdoing. The pages do not explain these differences. Each one tells you what to ask.
Source comparison checked October 7, 2026. These are differences in published wording, not verified explanations for them or tested service outcomes. [5] [8] [1] [4] [9] [7] [6]
Will Cost Plus TRT's price or rules change in 2027?
They could. Cost Plus TRT's own Terms say prices can change with notice, and its current bundled offers differ from the launch offer. Separately, the federal telemedicine extension runs through December 31, 2026, so a first-year budget that starts now will cross that date. [7] [10] [35]
The advertised offers already changed
Cost Plus TRT's October 13, 2025 launch announcement offered $199 for three months. That covered:
- A first provider visit
- Testosterone up to 160 mg a week
- Supplies
- Blood testing
- Shipping
That's about $66 a month, or $796 if repeated for four quarters. Today's published new-patient bundle — initial and 10-week labs included — is $119 a month, or $1,428 for 12 months at that rate. The annualized headline amounts differ by about 79%; the launch announcement does not establish equivalent ongoing care or renewal terms. [10] [1]
We didn't find the $199 offer in the current pages we reviewed, so don't budget from it. If you see it quoted somewhere, it's the 2025 launch price.
The telehealth deadline
On December 31, 2025, the DEA announced a fourth temporary extension issued with HHS for telemedicine prescribing of controlled medications. It lets DEA-registered practitioners prescribe Schedule II–V medicines through audio-video visits without a prior in-person exam, through December 31, 2026. Prescriptions still have to follow DEA rules and federal and state law. [35]
This does not override state requirements or a clinician's decision that an in-person exam is needed. Cost Plus TRT's consent says some conditions require local in-person evaluation; its listed bundle prices do not establish the cost of that outside care. [8] [37]
What happens after that depends on what federal regulators do next. We'll update this page when the rule changes. Until then, ask Cost Plus TRT:
- If an in-person exam becomes required, who arranges it?
- What does it cost?
- What happens to care I've already prepaid?
FDA labeling
In June 2026, the FDA asked testosterone makers to update their prescribing information. The requested revisions would remove a limitation about age-related low testosterone and revise prostate-related safety language. Check the current label for the exact product prescribed; the announcement alone does not establish which revisions its label has adopted. [29]
That doesn't change Cost Plus TRT's price. It also doesn't change the need for a real diagnosis and ongoing monitoring. The Endocrine Society's July 2026 statement says monitoring is still needed once treatment starts. [26]
Your Cost Plus TRT quote checklist
Before you pay, ask Cost Plus TRT to confirm the items below in writing. Leave anything unanswered marked "not confirmed" so it doesn't quietly disappear from your budget. This turns a monthly price into a real first-year number you can compare with any other option.
For this worksheet, the first year means the 12 months after your first payment.
Your first-year total = every payment due in the first 12 months + required labs and add-ons not already included. Don't add the upfront payment twice. Don't plug in $0 for a price you haven't been told.
You can copy this message into an email:
"Before I sign up, please confirm the complete price and payment dates for my first 12 months, including any labs or services I'd pay for separately, the exact testosterone product and pharmacy, and what happens to prepaid amounts if I'm not prescribed or need to leave."
Want to run the same numbers on other options? Our TRT Total Cost Worksheet compares online, local, and insurance routes side by side.
Got your answers, and they fit? You can start the intake knowing exactly what you're paying for. A clinician still decides whether TRT is right for you, and paying doesn't guarantee a prescription. Start Cost Plus TRT's clinical intake →
How we priced Cost Plus TRT
We read the Cost Plus TRT pages listed in Sources on October 7, 2026. We rebuilt the yearly totals from its published numbers and checked medical and legal points against the AUA, Endocrine Society, FDA, and DEA. We label each fact as verified, provider-stated, or unconfirmed.
Our method is How We Review TRT Providers. It separates four things:
- Facts we verified
- Facts the provider states
- Customer-experience signals
- Our own editorial conclusions
It builds the cost from each required charge instead of repeating an ad price, and identifies what prevents a complete total. We don't give providers made-up scores, and being listed here isn't an endorsement.
We didn't create a patient account, go through checkout, buy treatment, or contact Cost Plus TRT. If any of the "could not confirm" items get answered, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. No clinician reviewed this version. Our editorial standards and corrections policy explain how we check and update claims.
Frequently asked questions about Cost Plus TRT pricing
The published bundles start at $89 or $119 a month, but testing needs, the exact prescription, and billing dates change the complete bill. These answers separate the listed terms from the questions that still need a personal quote.
How much is Cost Plus TRT?
Cost Plus TRT's published bundles cost $89 a month for transfer patients who supply all their labs and $119 for transfer patients needing labs or new patients. You pay two months ($178 or $238) or two and a half months ($297.50) up front. At those rates, 12 months costs $1,068–$1,428 before extras. [1]
Is the upfront payment added on top of the monthly price?
No. The upfront payment covers your first two or two and a half months of care at the same monthly rate. Count it once. It isn't a separate setup fee.
Does Cost Plus TRT take insurance?
We did not confirm insurance billing in the reviewed pages, so use a cash-pay budget until Cost Plus TRT and your insurer confirm otherwise. If insurance matters to you, a local in-network clinician prescribing an FDA-approved product may cost less.
Can I use an HSA or FSA at Cost Plus TRT?
The reviewed Cost Plus TRT pages do not confirm it. Ask Cost Plus TRT for a receipt you can submit, and check with your plan administrator. Male Excel marks its advertised treatment packages HSA/FSA eligible, and Hone says its services may qualify depending on your plan. Check each charge with your plan administrator. [12] [24]
Does the $89 plan include bloodwork?
No. The $89 plan is only for men already on TRT, and you supply all your labs. Its get-started page asks for labs from the last six months including total testosterone, hemoglobin, PSA, and LH; a clinician still has to accept them. [3] [1]
Is there a $149 Cost Plus TRT plan?
The homepage lists "$89–149/mo," but we couldn't identify the applicable $149 plan in the reviewed pages as of October 7, 2026. Ask Cost Plus TRT what that price refers to.
What if I need more than 160 mg a week?
Cost Plus TRT says doses above 160 mg a week need provider approval and cost extra, but it doesn't publish the price. Get it in writing before you pay.
Does Cost Plus TRT offer HCG?
An hCG offer was not confirmed in the reviewed TRT pages. The listed add-ons are gonadorelin ODT and enclomiphene, with 503A compounding described and no prices shown. These are not testosterone replacement, and compounded preparations are not FDA-approved. If fertility matters to you, see a urologist or reproductive urologist before starting testosterone. [1] [30] [25]
Is the testosterone FDA-approved?
The reviewed TRT pages don't identify the finished product's approval status. Ask for the product name, manufacturer or compounder, any NDC, and the dispensing pharmacy. An NDC does not establish approval. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. [1] [31] [30]
Is Cost Plus TRT the same as Mark Cuban's Cost Plus Drugs?
This is Cost Plus TRT's care service at costplustrt.com. Its About page says it borrowed the pricing idea from Cost Plus Drugs; we did not verify a business affiliation. [6]
Is the $199-for-three-months offer still available?
We didn't find it in the Cost Plus TRT pages reviewed on October 7, 2026. It was the October 2025 launch price. The current new-patient plan is $119 a month.
How often do I see a provider?
Each bundled plan lists a live provider visit every six months, plus secure messaging. Ask whether extra visits are billed. [1]
How fast does medication arrive?
Cost Plus TRT's program page says it arrives within five business days after approval, with free two-day shipping. Its FAQ gives typical dispatch and arrival windows. These are provider estimates, not a delivery guarantee we tested; confirm timing before arranging a transfer. [1] [5]
Can I switch to Cost Plus TRT from another clinic?
Yes. The $89 and $119 transfer plans are built for men already on TRT. A clinician still has to review your history and labs before prescribing.
Does paying guarantee a prescription?
No. Cost Plus TRT's Terms say prescriptions are issued at the clinician's discretion. [7]
