Tlando Reviews (2026): Does This Testosterone Pill Work, and Is It Worth It?

Tlando reviews are hard to find. So we went to the evidence instead. In its main study, 80% of men with confirmed low testosterone reached a normal average blood level. Tlando may fit diagnosed adult men who want pills, but its fixed regimen, blood pressure, fertility plans, monitoring, and the confirmed price can change that answer.

That last part matters. The maker's own pharmacy program lists Tlando for as little as $150 for eligible patients. Its public page doesn't state the quantity covered. We'll show you how that works and what to confirm first. 8

That answer changes if your blood pressure isn't under control, you want to have kids soon, you're on Medicare or Medicaid, or your low testosterone hasn't been confirmed with repeat morning blood tests.

Tlando may fit you if:

  • A clinician has confirmed low testosterone, its cause, and that Tlando is appropriate

  • You want a pill instead of shots or gel

  • You prefer a fixed regimen and accept that it may not fit your blood levels

  • The daily capsule-and-food routine fits your life

Start somewhere else if:

  • You're trying to conceive now or soon

  • Your blood pressure isn't controlled

  • You want your dose fine-tuned to your labs

  • You need an all-in-one online service before choosing a drug; we did not verify a dedicated Tlando program

TRT Provider Guide is the independent decision resource for testosterone replacement therapy — helping U.S. adults understand how low testosterone is evaluated, compare online and local care models and providers, and choose the next step that fits their health needs, fertility plans, budget, state, and care preferences, with every material claim verified and dated.

What we actually verified — October 21, 2026

Sources checked: Tlando's FDA prescribing information (DailyMed, revised February 2026), the patient Medication Guide, the FDA's latest available Orange Book data, the FDA's 2025 label update, the main Tlando clinical study, the HHS/FDA testosterone labeling announcement (June 18, 2026), the maker's savings and pharmacy pages, GoodRx and Drugs.com price pages, two insurer documents, Lipocine's 2026 SEC filings, and the DEA's current telemedicine rule.

Confirmed from primary sources: labeled regimen, study results, blood pressure data, monitoring schedule, warnings, boxed-warning removal, Schedule III status, generic-substitute listings, and who markets Tlando today.

Maker-stated (their words, not independently tested): the $0 co-pay card, the $150 cash price, and the list of network pharmacies.

What we couldn't confirm: how many capsules the $150 price covers, the dollar cap on the co-pay card, shipping fees, live pharmacy stock, and whether each listed pharmacy ships to your state.

What we did not do: We didn't take Tlando, buy it, or go through a doctor's visit for it. This is an evidence review, not a hands-on test. Our method: How We Review TRT Providers.

Why are there almost no Tlando reviews?

We found few brand-specific Tlando reviews in the sources we checked. The Tlando page on Drugs.com showed none when we checked in October 2026, and WebMD's testosterone review page pools many products together, so its score isn't a Tlando score. That's why this page judges Tlando on the study, the FDA label, and the real price. 11 12

Here's what happens when you search "tlando reviews." You get drug-info pages, coupon pages, and star ratings that belong to something else. It's easy to read an injection review and think it's about Tlando.

We sorted the review-type sources we checked:

Tlando reviews table 2: Why are there almost no Tlando reviews?
Source Is it about Tlando? What it can tell you
Drugs.com Tlando user reviews 11 Yes, but zero reviews posted at our check Nothing yet. The cards below it are for other drugs.
WebMD testosterone reviews 12 No. It mixes many brands and forms. Not a Tlando rating. Don't read it as one.
Tlando clinical studies 4 23 Yes Selected study outcomes, including blood levels and reported symptoms; not a representative consumer-review sample.
Forum posts, such as the Tlando discussion on Reddit 32 Sometimes Good questions. Not proof that it's safe or works.
Tlando.com 8 9 Yes, from the maker Official facts and advertised offers. Not independent.

So we can't give Tlando a fair star rating. What we can do is better: show you what the evidence says, what it costs, and what to ask before you pay.

We couldn't establish why there are so few brand-specific patient reviews. Lipocine, the company that developed it, reported about $190,000 in Tlando royalty revenue for the second quarter of 2026. Royalty revenue does not disclose patient counts or establish why patients do or do not post reviews. 16

Does Tlando work?

In Tlando's main study, 80% of 95 men with confirmed low testosterone reached a normal average level after about 24 days on the standard dose, with no dose changes. The average level landed around 476 ng/dL. That result measures testosterone in the blood; it doesn't tell you how many men felt better. 1 4

Let's unpack that 80%.

The study gave every man the same fixed regimen with food for about 24 days. The goal was a 24-hour average testosterone level between 300 and 1,080 ng/dL. Eighty percent hit it. The 95% confidence interval—a measure of the estimate's uncertainty—was 72% to 88%. These are study measures, not a universal cutoff for diagnosing low testosterone. 4

The study also measured peak testosterone levels. In 82% of men, the highest level stayed at or under 1,620 ng/dL. None went above 2,700. The 82% result fell short of the study's prespecified target of at least 85%. 4

The one big tradeoff: you can't adjust the dose

Here's the thing to weigh before you pay.

Tlando's label does not provide for dose adjustment. Your clinician uses the follow-up result to decide whether Tlando remains appropriate. In the main study, about 1 in 5 men didn't land in range. 1 4

If having your dose fine-tuned matters most to you, Kyzatrex or Jatenzo may be options to discuss with your clinician. Both labels let your clinician adjust the dose. 19 24

But here's the appeal of a fixed regimen: it avoids dose adjustments. The first testosterone test, three to four weeks in, helps your clinician decide whether Tlando remains appropriate. Symptoms, side effects, and ongoing monitoring still matter. 1 7

What the study didn't measure

Be careful with any page that turns "80%" into "80% of men felt better." That's not what was measured.

  • The main study was short (about 24 days) and open-label (everyone knew what they were taking).

  • It had no comparison group. It didn't pit Tlando against shots or gel.

  • It was funded by the drug's developer, with company-linked authors. That's common, and it was disclosed. 4

A longer, 52-week study reported improvements in men's own ratings of sexual function and mood compared with when they started. The SOAR trial randomized 315 men to oral testosterone undecanoate or testosterone gel, was open-label, and allowed dose adjustments. It was a different study from the 24-day fixed-regimen trial, and it had no placebo group. That's encouraging, but it's one study. 5 23

The FDA label makes no promises about energy, muscle, weight, mood, or sex drive. Neither do we. 1

How long does Tlando take to work?

Blood levels are checked three to four weeks after you start. How you feel is a different clock. It varies by person and by symptom, and the Tlando label gives no symptom timeline. 1 For what research shows about TRT in general, see how long TRT takes to work.

The right TRT provider is not the same for every person — it depends on whether low testosterone has been properly evaluated, your symptoms and health history, your fertility plans, your state, your insurance or cash-pay preference, your treatment-format preference, your budget, and whether online or in-person care is the better starting point. Some situations belong with primary care, urology, endocrinology, reproductive urology, or urgent or emergency care when the symptoms warrant it. Because a general answer cannot resolve those for you, use TRT Provider Guide's Find My TRT Path tool for guidance on online TRT programs — and bring this page's questions to a clinician if you need local or specialist care.

The tool is educational and non-diagnostic. It does not confirm medical eligibility or guarantee a prescription. For the care-setting tradeoffs, see online vs local TRT care.

Quick check: is Tlando even on the table for you? Answer these three before you read on.

  1. Have you had two low testosterone tests, taken on different mornings? If not, that comes first. Tlando's label requires it. → Do you need two low testosterone tests?
  2. Is your blood pressure under control? If not, Tlando isn't recommended until it is.
  3. Are you planning to have a child in the near term? If yes, talk to a urologist or reproductive specialist before any testosterone. → TRT and fertility

These answers help frame a discussion; they do not establish that Tlando is appropriate. Any red flag? The rest of this page still helps, but your next step is a clinician, not a pharmacy.

Who is Tlando for — and who should start somewhere else?

Tlando is approved for adult men whose low testosterone comes from a medical condition affecting the testes, pituitary gland, or hypothalamus. Before starting, low testosterone must be confirmed with morning blood tests on at least two separate days. Men trying to conceive, men with uncontrolled blood pressure, and men with breast or prostate cancer need a different first step. 1 7

First, a few plain-English terms

  • Hypogonadism: the body doesn't make enough testosterone. Tlando's label covers two kinds. One starts in the testes. The other starts in the brain's signal center (the pituitary or hypothalamus).

  • Testosterone undecanoate: a form of testosterone your body absorbs through the gut's lymph system and turns into regular testosterone. 1

  • FDA-approved: the FDA reviewed Tlando's safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing before it could be sold. Compounded testosterone (mixed by a pharmacy) does not get that review. 3 20

  • Schedule III: a federal category for controlled drugs. You need a valid prescription, and sharing or selling it is illegal. 1

Has your low testosterone really been confirmed?

The Endocrine Society's guideline says diagnosis needs two things. First, symptoms or signs that fit. Second, testosterone that is consistently low on repeat early-morning, fasting tests run by an accurate lab. Your clinician should also look for the cause. 7

One low result isn't a diagnosis. Neither is a symptom quiz. Tlando's label adds its own rule: two morning tests on separate days, both below normal. 1 7

Are you trying to have a child?

This one matters a lot. Testosterone from outside the body, pill or shot, can shut down sperm production. The Tlando label says the effect on fertility may not reverse. The Endocrine Society recommends against starting testosterone if you plan to have a child soon. 1 7

If kids are part of your near-term plans, start with a urologist or a reproductive urologist, not a pharmacy. → TRT and fertility

What about low testosterone from aging?

This is in flux, so here are the dates.

  • Tlando's current label (February 2026) says safety and effectiveness haven't been established for "age-related" low testosterone. The patient Medication Guide still tells men not to take Tlando for low testosterone caused by age alone. 1

  • On June 18, 2026, the FDA asked all testosterone makers to remove that limitation, based on newer evidence, including the large TRAVERSE heart-safety trial. 6

As of our October 2026 check, Tlando's posted label hadn't changed yet. Ask your clinician how they're applying the newer FDA position to you.

Health issues to raise first

Tell your clinician if you have any of these. Some make Tlando a "no." Others just need closer watching.

Tlando reviews table 3: Health issues to raise first
Situation What the label says
Breast cancer, or known or suspected prostate cancer Contraindicated (the current label says it should not be used)
Pregnancy Contraindicated. Tlando is not indicated for women.
Allergy to testosterone undecanoate or any Tlando ingredient Contraindicated
Uncontrolled high blood pressure Not recommended
High red blood cell count (hematocrit) Requires clinician assessment and monitoring
Enlarged prostate (BPH) Watch for worse urinary symptoms
Sleep apnea, heart, kidney, or liver disease Extra monitoring; may cause swelling or worse sleep apnea
Insulin, blood thinners, or anti-inflammatory corticosteroids Your clinician may need to change monitoring or prescriptions

The June 2026 FDA request would also narrow the prostate rule to metastatic prostate cancer only, meaning cancer that has spread, and revise the enlarged-prostate warning while retaining monitoring for severe urinary symptoms. It still calls for prostate risk assessment and monitoring; long-term prostate risk remains uncertain. Again, that wasn't in Tlando's posted label when we checked. Your clinician makes the call. 1 6

Tlando side effects: is it safe?

The most common side effects in Tlando's studies were higher prolactin, higher blood pressure, a rise in red blood cells, upper respiratory infections such as colds, weight gain, headache, and muscle or joint pain. Tlando raised average blood pressure by about 4 points on the top number over four months. Its boxed warning was removed in July 2025, but blood pressure is still a listed warning. 1

Did the FDA remove Tlando's blood pressure warning?

Yes and no. Here's the timeline, because older pages still show the old version.

Tlando reviews table 4: Did the FDA remove Tlando's blood pressure warning?
Date What happened
March 2022 FDA approves Tlando
February 28, 2025 FDA announces class-wide changes after reviewing TRAVERSE and blood-pressure monitoring studies. 25
July 2025 Tlando's boxed warning about blood pressure is removed. The regular blood pressure warning stays.
February 2026 Current Tlando label revision
June 18, 2026 FDA requests more testosterone label changes (age-related use, prostate, BPH). Not yet in Tlando's posted label at our check.

A boxed warning is the FDA's strongest label warning. Moving the risk out of the box doesn't erase it. Tlando still carries a warning that blood-pressure increases can raise cardiovascular risk over time. 1 25

What happened to blood pressure in the study?

In an uncontrolled four-month study of 138 treated men, 123 had acceptable 24-hour blood pressure recordings before and after treatment. 1

  • Average change: up 4.3 points on the top number, 1.4 on the bottom.

  • Men already treated for high blood pressure: up 4.8 and 1.6.

  • Reported as a side effect: 7 of 138 men (5.1%) had high blood pressure.

  • Needed a new blood pressure medicine: 2 of 138.

Those are averages. Your number could be higher or lower. That's why the label asks for regular blood pressure checks, especially if you already have high blood pressure. Some cold medicines and pain relievers can raise it further, so tell your pharmacist what you take. → TRT and blood pressure

Side effects from the studies

Tlando reviews table 5: Side effects from the studies
Side effect How often Which study

High blood pressure 5.1% 4-month study, 138 men
Higher hematocrit (share of blood that's red cells) 4.3% 4-month study
Upper respiratory infections, such as colds 3.6% 4-month study
Weight gain, headache, muscle or joint pain 2.1% each 24-day study

These are reported trial events, not your personal odds or a comparison with another treatment. Source: current Tlando prescribing information. 1

Is Tlando bad for your liver?

Old testosterone pills, like methyltestosterone, were linked to serious liver problems. 1

Tlando is a different type. It's mainly absorbed through the lymph system and skips the liver's first pass. The label says it isn't known to cause the liver problems tied to those older pills. Still, report yellow skin or eyes, dark urine, or right-side belly pain to your clinician right away. 1

Serious risks to know about

  • Blood clots in the legs or lungs. Leg pain, swelling, or redness. Sudden chest pain or trouble breathing.

  • Too many red blood cells, which can raise clot and stroke risk.

  • Lower sperm count, possibly lasting.

  • Swelling from fluid, especially with heart, kidney, or liver disease.

  • Worse sleep apnea, especially with obesity or lung disease.

  • Breast enlargement.

What about the heart? In the TRAVERSE trial, more than 5,000 men with heart disease or heart risk were assigned testosterone gel or placebo. Major heart events were similar to placebo: 7.0% vs 7.3%. Those results informed the FDA's label update, but the trial did not test Tlando or eliminate its blood-pressure and other risks. 1 25 → TRT and heart health

Chest pain, sudden trouble breathing, or signs of a stroke need emergency care. Call 911.

What blood tests do you need on Tlando?

Your clinician arranges two low morning testosterone tests plus checks of hematocrit, PSA, and prolactin before Tlando. The label calls for a testosterone test at week three or four, drawn eight to nine hours after the prescribed morning dose. Hematocrit is checked about every three months in year one, and prolactin again at three to four months. 1

A fixed dose doesn't mean fewer tests. Here's the label's schedule, turned into a calendar you can review with your clinician.

Your Tlando year-one lab calendar

Tlando reviews table 6: Your Tlando year-one lab calendar
When What the label calls for What it means for you
Before you start Two morning testosterone tests on different days, both low. Plus hematocrit, PSA (a prostate blood test), prolactin, and blood pressure. No shortcuts. One test isn't enough.
Week 3–4 Testosterone, drawn 8 to 9 hours after the prescribed morning dose Confirm the ordered collection time with your clinician and lab before booking.
The result Your clinician interprets the result alongside symptoms and safety checks. The label has no dose-adjustment step; your clinician decides whether Tlando remains appropriate.
Month 3 Hematocrit Checks that red blood cells aren't climbing too high
Month 3–4 Prolactin, again Your clinician reviews any persistent elevation and the treatment plan.
Months 6, 9, 12 Hematocrit Then every 6 months after year one
Ongoing Blood pressure, PSA, cholesterol, testosterone "Periodically," per your clinician

Our count: one possible schedule involves seven blood draws, including the two diagnostic draws: two before starting, one at week 3–4, and one around months 3, 6, 9, and 12, if the other tests can share those appointments. Your clinician may need more or fewer draws. 1

The afternoon blood-test gotcha

You've probably heard "always test testosterone in the morning." That's true for diagnosing low testosterone. It's not how Tlando is monitored.

Tlando's label times the check from your morning dose: 8 to 9 hours later. Get that wrong and the number can mislead you and your clinician. Tell the lab it's a Tlando check, and plan around afternoon hours, since some labs close early.

What does Tlando's daily routine involve?

Tlando uses a fixed regimen that must be prescribed by a clinician. The labeled routine involves four capsules a day with food, so a 120-capsule price quote covers 30 days. Taking it without food sharply lowers how much your body absorbs. 1

Take it exactly as your prescription says. A few things worth knowing:

  • Food matters, fat doesn't much. In small studies, fasting cut peak levels by about 65% and total exposure by about 38% compared with a high-fat meal. But low-, medium-, and high-fat meals produced similar testosterone exposure. A high-fat meal is not required by the label. 1

  • It's not swappable. The label says Tlando can't be substituted for other oral testosterone undecanoate products, like Jatenzo or Kyzatrex. Switching means a new prescription and new monitoring.

  • Store it at room temperature and keep it locked away from others. It's a controlled substance.

  • Missed a dose or have a question? Ask your pharmacist.

How much does Tlando cost?

Drugs.com displayed a cash-price estimate of $885.03 for 120 capsules on October 21, 2026; the pharmacy's actual quote may differ. The maker's Preferred Pharmacy Network advertises as little as $150 for eligible cash payers and commercially insured patients whose plans do not cover Tlando, but its page does not state the quantity. With commercial insurance that does cover it, the co-pay card can bring it to as little as $0, subject to a benefit cap. 8 9 22

Here's every price path we found, side by side.

Compare the pharmacy quote with the network offer

Before paying cash, compare a pharmacy quote with the maker's network offer. Confirm that both quotes cover the same quantity and include any shipping charges.

Here's how the network works. Your doctor sends the prescription to one of the maker's listed specialty pharmacies. The pharmacy mails it to you. National options listed on Tlando.com include LifeLine Specialty Pharmacy and Sterling Specialty Pharmacy, plus several regional pharmacies. 8

What we couldn't pin down

The maker's page says "as little as $150" but doesn't say how many capsules that covers. Before you pay, ask the pharmacy one question: "Is this $150 for a full 120-capsule, 30-day fill, and what's shipping?" 8

If the pharmacy confirms $150 for a 30-day fill and that price stays the same, 12 fills would cost $1,800 and cover 360 days. For a full 365 days starting with no supply, 13 full 30-day fills would cost $1,950, with 25 days of medicine left for the next year. Those are medication-only examples; doctor visits, laboratory testing, shipping, and other fees still need to be counted.

Who can use the $150 offer—and what do the terms exclude?

Per the maker's terms:

  • You must be at least 18, have a valid Tlando prescription, and be a U.S. resident with a valid U.S. shipping address.

  • The cash offer excludes prescriptions reimbursed by private insurance or by a federal or state healthcare program, including Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and state assistance.

  • Shipping may cost extra.

  • Program purchases cannot count toward Medicare Part D True Out-of-Pocket spending (TrOOP).

  • The maker can change or end the offer at any time. 8

What about the $0 co-pay card?

It's for people with commercial insurance that covers Tlando. There's a cap on how much the card pays, and the maker doesn't publish the dollar amount. Once you hit it, you owe the rest. Ask the pharmacy to run it and tell you your real number. 9

Does the co-pay card cover doctor visits or labs? No. It's for the prescription. Visits and blood work are billed separately.

Paying cash, or did insurance say no? If the $150 path fits your situation, the next step is the maker's pharmacy list and current terms. Your doctor's office sends the prescription; you don't order it yourself.

Does insurance cover Tlando?

Coverage depends on your exact plan. The insurer documents below show prior-authorization and step-therapy requirements, while one Aetna formulary lists Tlando as non-formulary with an exception process. Ask your plan before you fill. 13 14

Two quick definitions:

  • Formulary: your plan's list of covered drugs.

  • Prior authorization: your plan has to approve the drug before it pays.

Two real examples show how differently plans treat Tlando:

  • Aetna's Advanced Control Plan formulary (October 1, 2026) lists Tlando as non-formulary, meaning not on the covered list. That formulary says non-formulary drugs may become eligible through an exception request. A separate prior-authorization policy does not establish coverage for your plan. 13

  • Western Health Advantage's current testosterone policy requires a trial and failure of, or intolerance to, generic testosterone gel for its oral-testosterone section, which includes Tlando. Other clinical criteria also apply. That's called step therapy. 14

These are plan-specific examples. Check the formulary and approval criteria that apply to your own coverage.

On Medicare? The commercial co-pay card cannot be used for a prescription reimbursed by Medicare. The cash program also excludes government-reimbursed prescriptions. Check your Part D plan's formulary, and ask your pharmacist what options apply to you. 8 9

What to ask your plan:

  1. Is Tlando on my formulary? What tier?
  2. Do I need prior authorization or step therapy?
  3. If it's denied, how does the exception or appeal process work?

How do you get a Tlando prescription? Can you get it online?

You need a prescription from a licensed clinician after a proper evaluation, including repeat morning testing. One route is your own primary care doctor, urologist, or endocrinologist, who can discuss Tlando and, if appropriate, send a prescription to a pharmacy. Telehealth may be possible, but we did not verify a dedicated Tlando program among the services reviewed. 1 7 18

The four-step path

  1. Arrange a clinical evaluation, including repeat morning testing as ordered, or gather recent results you already have.
  2. Bring this page's question sheet to your clinician. Ask whether Tlando fits, and what the alternatives are.
  3. If Tlando is prescribed, compare the pharmacy quote with your insurance benefit or the maker's network offer.
  4. Confirm who orders and schedules the properly timed week 3–4 blood draw, so it doesn't slip.

What about telehealth?

Testosterone is a Schedule III drug, so federal rules apply to online prescribing. As of October 21, 2026, a temporary federal rule lets DEA-registered clinicians prescribe Schedule III drugs through qualifying audio-video telemedicine visits without an in-person visit first, subject to applicable requirements. That flexibility runs through December 31, 2026. Check the federal and state requirements again for care after that date. State laws still apply, and not every clinic or state works the same way. 18

A telehealth visit can lead to a Tlando prescription when clinical and legal requirements are met. But we didn't verify a program built around it, and no online form guarantees a prescription. 1 18

Which pharmacy will fill it?

Confirm availability with the dispensing pharmacy before arranging your fill. The maker lists specialty pharmacies, but that list does not confirm live stock, delivery timing, or dispensing in your state. Ask for the pharmacy's name, the exact quote, and how early you need to request refills. 8

What should you confirm about the clinic and your state?

Before paying for a visit, ask for the treating clinician's name, credential, and license for your state. Confirm whether the service offers Tlando specifically, whether an in-person visit is needed, where the two diagnostic samples are collected, and whether the quoted lab price includes the repeat test. We did not establish a state-by-state Tlando prescribing or dispensing list.

What about support, cancellation, refunds, and records?

Tlando is a medicine, so its drug price does not establish a clinic's service terms. Ask the clinic and pharmacy separately about minimum commitments, automatic billing or refills, cancellation deadlines, refunds, follow-up charges, and how to get your medical records. Get the contact and expected response time for side effects or a delayed refill; these questions belong in the total-cost decision before you pay.

Tlando vs Jatenzo vs Kyzatrex: which pill fits you?

Tlando, Jatenzo, and Kyzatrex are all FDA-approved testosterone undecanoate capsules used with food. Of these three, Tlando is the only one with a single fixed regimen; Jatenzo and Kyzatrex let your clinician adjust the dose based on your labs. They aren't interchangeable, so switching needs a new prescription. 1 19 24

  • Want to explore a pill through telehealth? Kyzatrex's maker lists online routes; its direct route excludes Alabama and Rhode Island at our check. Eligibility still requires clinical evaluation. 27 → Best oral TRT providers

  • Your plan covers one brand but not the others? Ask your clinician whether a covered option is appropriate.

Would injections or gel suit you better?

Maybe. Ask your clinician and pharmacist to compare a suitable generic injection or gel with Tlando, including the prescription, visits, and monitoring costs. The Western Health policy above is one example of a plan requiring a gel trial first. They also need monitoring, and they carry the same fertility concern. The tradeoffs include routine, comfort, cost, and product-specific risks. 7 14

Compounded testosterone is a different category. Compounded drugs are mixed by a pharmacy and are not FDA-approved. A compounded capsule or troche is not a generic Tlando, even if the ingredient sounds similar. 20

If Tlando isn't your fit, where should you go?

If Tlando's fixed dose, four daily capsules, or prescription path doesn't work for you, the right alternative depends on your priority. FDA-approved oral products, injection programs, and compounded creams or troches are different options. If you're trying to conceive, a specialist comes first. 1 7 19 20 24

These are alternatives to research, not confirmed Tlando sources. We did not verify Tlando prescribing through the named services below. The program details are provider-stated; confirm the exact medication, dispensing pharmacy, and full cost before paying.

Wanting needle-free, and okay with compounded (not FDA-approved) medicine Hone Health Provider lists a compounded testosterone troche—a lozenge that dissolves in the mouth—and a second testosterone test. Membership, testing, and medication charges need separate confirmation. 30
Trying to conceive A urologist or reproductive urologist Testosterone can suppress sperm. → TRT and fertility
Never formally diagnosed Primary care first Symptoms, health history, repeat morning testing, and cause evaluation. 7 → How is low testosterone diagnosed?

What about pills that aren't testosterone?

A quick warning on "oral TRT." Some online programs sell pills called oral TRT that aren't testosterone at all. Clomiphene and enclomiphene, for example, prompt your body to make its own testosterone instead of replacing it. Always ask: is this testosterone, and is it FDA-approved?

Clomiphene is FDA-approved to treat ovulatory dysfunction—problems with releasing an egg—in women seeking pregnancy; prescribing it for low testosterone in men is off-label. Enclomiphene is not an FDA-approved standalone medicine, and neither drug is testosterone replacement therapy. These are specialist discussions when fertility matters, not a promise that sperm production will be preserved. 7 34 35 36

Is Tlando discontinued? Who markets Tlando now?

No, Tlando isn't discontinued. Verity Pharmaceuticals has sold it in the U.S. since February 2024, after it moved from Antares Pharma and Halozyme. Its FDA label was updated in February 2026, and Health Canada approved it on September 29, 2026. 1 8 15 26

If you've read that Tlando is marketed by Antares or Halozyme, you're reading an older page. Here's what changed:

Our verdict: is Tlando worth it?

Tlando is a fixed-regimen pill option for an adult man with a diagnosed condition covered by its indication, controlled blood pressure, no near-term plans for children, and a clinician who finds it appropriate. Its value depends on the confirmed pharmacy quote and the full cost of care. It's a poor fit if you need dose flexibility, and we did not verify a dedicated online program or establish it as the lowest-cost route. 1 7 8

That's our editorial judgment, based on the facts above. Here's the short version.

What Tlando does well

  • FDA-approved testosterone in pill form, with no needles and no gel that can rub off on a partner or kids

  • A fixed regimen, with a first testosterone check at three to four weeks and ongoing monitoring

  • Not known to cause the liver effects associated with older testosterone pills such as methyltestosterone

  • A maker-advertised cash offer worth checking, if you meet the terms and confirm the quantity

Where it falls short

  • Four capsules a day, with meals, every day

  • No dose adjustment. About 1 in 5 men in the main study didn't reach range.

  • An average blood pressure rise of 4.3/1.4 points in the four-month study

  • Few real patient reviews

  • Coverage hurdles in the plans checked, and no dedicated online program verified in this review

How did we check this Tlando review?

We reviewed Tlando's FDA label, the FDA's latest available Orange Book data, its main clinical study, the June 2026 HHS/FDA labeling announcement, the maker's savings terms, two insurer documents, price-comparison sites, and the review pages cited here, on October 21, 2026. This is public-source editorial research. It isn't a hands-on test or a clinician-reviewed recommendation.

We follow How We Review TRT Providers and our editorial standards. For this page, that means:

  • Verified facts come from the issuer: the FDA, the label, the DEA, the study itself, or the insurer's own document.

  • Maker-stated facts, like the $150 and $0 offers, are labeled as the maker's own terms.

  • Customer experience is used only to show what people ask, never as proof that Tlando works or is safe.

  • Our conclusions, like "best for" and "start elsewhere," are editorial judgments built on those facts.

Tlando FAQ

Tlando is a prescription testosterone medicine, and the product, prescription, and care route are separate decisions. These answers cover the remaining questions about approval, substitutes, daily routine, and access.

Is Tlando FDA-approved?

Yes. The FDA approved Tlando in March 2022 for adult men with low testosterone caused by certain medical conditions. 1 3

Is there a generic Tlando?

No FDA-approved generic substitute for Tlando is listed in the FDA's latest available Orange Book data, checked October 21, 2026. Its ingredient, testosterone undecanoate, is also in other brands, but those are different products and can't be swapped in. 1 33

What is Tlando's generic name?

Testosterone undecanoate. That's the ingredient name, not a cheaper generic version. 1

Is Tlando a testosterone booster or supplement?

No. It's prescription testosterone and a Schedule III controlled substance. Supplements sold as "boosters" are a different thing entirely. 1

Do Tlando and Jatenzo work the same way?

They share an ingredient and both go through the lymph system. But Jatenzo's label allows dose adjustment and Tlando's does not. They aren't interchangeable. 1 19

Can I take Tlando on an empty stomach?

The label says to take it with food. Fasting cut absorption sharply in studies. 1

Can women take Tlando?

Tlando isn't approved for women, and it can harm an unborn baby. This review covers its adult-male hypogonadism indication; other hormone-care needs require a different clinical assessment. 1

Can I switch from injections to Tlando?

Possibly, with your clinician. It means a new prescription and a new monitoring plan. A small, open-label study of men switching to Jatenzo reported higher satisfaction; it does not establish satisfaction with Tlando. 21

Is there a once-a-day Tlando?

The approved Tlando regimen is not once daily. TLANDO XR (LPCN 1111) is a separate testosterone tridecanoate development candidate with potential once-daily dosing. Lipocine's 2026 filing lists development and commercialization rights with GSL, a Verity affiliate. It is not an approved once-daily Tlando option. 1 15 39

Is Tlando available in Canada?

Health Canada approved Tlando on September 29, 2026. Lipocine's October 7 announcement said Verity planned a Canadian launch by the end of 2026. Approval does not confirm that pharmacies can dispense it yet. 17 26

Does Tlando cause hair loss or acne?

Neither is listed among the common side effects in Tlando's studies. That does not mean they cannot occur. 1 For testosterone in general, see TRT and hair loss and TRT and acne.

Can an online quiz get me a Tlando prescription?

No. A prescription requires a clinical evaluation and proper testing. No questionnaire guarantees one. 1 7 18

Does "last verified" mean a doctor reviewed this page?

No. It's the date we last checked our sources. This page hasn't been clinically reviewed.
