Oral Testosterone Cost in 2026: What Jatenzo, Tlando and Kyzatrex Really Cost

Oral testosterone costs about $150–$229 a month through the current access programs we verified. Tlando lists as little as $150 for eligible uncovered patients, Jatenzo lists $185 cash, and Kyzatrex telehealth bundles run $179–$229. Commercially insured patients may pay less. Your total changes with eligibility, insurance, labs, visits, shipping, and dose.

So why does every price you've seen look different? Because "the price" means different things: a pharmacy quote, an insurance copay, a manufacturer access price, or a bundled telehealth fee. Most pages mix them together. We'll show you which number applies to you.

A pill may be worth discussing if you want to avoid needles or the transfer risk of topical testosterone and can follow the product's food and monitoring requirements.

Start with a different care route first if you want the lowest possible medication cost, you're planning fertility in the near term, or low testosterone has not been confirmed with appropriate clinical evaluation and repeat early-morning testing.

TRT Provider Guide is the independent decision resource for testosterone replacement therapy — helping U.S. adults understand how low testosterone is evaluated, compare online and local care models and providers, and choose the next step that fits their health needs, fertility plans, budget, state, and care preferences, with every material claim verified and dated.

This page is educational information, not medical advice. It doesn't diagnose low testosterone or recommend a dose. Chest pain, sudden trouble breathing, fainting, stroke symptoms, or one-sided painful leg swelling need urgent or emergency care right away.

Affiliate disclosure: This page uses direct source links to the oral-testosterone manufacturers and programs discussed below. TRT Provider Guide has commercial relationships disclosed elsewhere on the site, but those relationships do not determine which oral-testosterone route we recommend. Read our affiliate disclosure.

How much does oral testosterone cost per month?

Through current maker and telehealth programs, FDA-approved oral testosterone costs about $150–$185 a month for the medicine alone, or $179–$229 a month through the Kyzatrex bundles we verified. Commercially insured patients who qualify for a savings card may pay less. Regular pharmacy cash prices can be far higher, and they vary by product, strength, pharmacy, and location.

Three branded FDA-approved oral testosterone undecanoate products are sold in the U.S.: Jatenzo, Tlando, and Kyzatrex. FDA also lists Undecatrex as an authorized generic under the Kyzatrex application. These products share testosterone undecanoate as the active ingredient, but they have different strengths, labeled dosing instructions, and access programs. Here's what each branded option costs right now.

Kyzatrex cost: $179 to $229 a month all-in, or pay per capsule

Kyzatrex is made by Marius Pharmaceuticals. Its consumer site describes the medication as cash-pay and says the prescribing provider supplies pricing information. The price you see therefore depends on the care and dispensing path you use.

  • Henry Meds: $179 a month. Henry's TRT page says that price covers provider visits, labwork, medicine, supplies, shipping, and ongoing support. Oral medicine ships every 90 days. Kyzatrex is not available through Henry in California. Henry lists eligibility for men ages 35 to 65 who meet lab-based requirements.
  • GetKYZATREX: $99 to start, then $229 a month. The $99 "Know Your Numbers" step covers a complete hormone panel and physician review, and the site says the payment goes toward treatment if qualified. The $229 treatment plan includes Kyzatrex and a complete hormone panel and requires a 3-month commitment. The public program page also says "no long-term commitment," which conflicts with the stated 3-month commitment; treat the 3-month requirement as the concrete term to resolve before paying.
  • Your own doctor plus a pharmacy. You pay the pharmacy price for the exact strength and quantity prescribed, plus any separate clinician and lab costs. Kyzatrex has multiple strengths and its label allows clinician-directed dose adjustment, so a single per-capsule quote should not be extrapolated to every dose. Get a current pharmacy quote for the prescription you would actually fill.

Jatenzo cost: $185 cash, $150 if insurance said no, $0 if it said yes

Jatenzo is made by Tolmar. Its savings terms list three prices:

  • $185 for a 1-month supply if you pay cash or choose not to use insurance.
  • $150 for a 1-month supply if you have commercial insurance and your plan denied coverage.
  • As little as $0 with the copay card if your commercial plan covers it. Copay help covers up to $393 a month for the 237 mg strength, for up to 12 uses.

The cash and denial prices apply only at Tolmar's contracted network pharmacies. Your prescription needs a valid prescriber ID. The offer isn't valid if you're on Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, or another government plan.

Tlando cost: as little as $150 through preferred pharmacies

Tlando is marketed by Verity Pharmaceuticals. Verity's site says eligible uninsured patients, and commercially insured patients whose plan won't cover Tlando, can get it for as little as $150 through its preferred pharmacy network. Commercially insured patients with coverage may pay as little as $0 with the copay card, up to a yearly cap.

The catches: your doctor sends the prescription to one of the listed specialty pharmacies. Extra shipping charges may apply. Government insurance is excluded. Tlando has a fixed labeled dose of two 112.5 mg capsules twice daily with food; its label uses follow-up testosterone testing to decide whether treatment should continue or stop rather than titrating among multiple Tlando doses.

The right TRT provider is not the same for every person — it depends on whether low testosterone has been properly evaluated, your symptoms and health history, your fertility plans, your state, your insurance or cash-pay preference, your treatment-format preference, your budget, and whether online or in-person care is the better starting point. Some situations belong with primary care, urology, endocrinology, reproductive urology, or urgent or emergency care when the symptoms warrant it. Because a general answer cannot resolve those for you, use TRT Provider Guide's Find My TRT Path tool to map your situation to the right care route and the questions to ask before you pay.

Why can oral testosterone prices range from $0 to more than $1,600?

Because each number describes a different deal. A pharmacy's counter price, an insurance copay, a manufacturer's cash program, and a bundled telehealth subscription are not the same thing, even for the same pill. Once you know which kind of price you're looking at, most of the confusion disappears.

When we lined up every oral testosterone price we could find, they fell into five buckets:

Oral testosterone cost table 2: Why can oral testosterone prices range from $0 to more than $1,600?
Type of price What it is Example (October 2026) Is it your real cost?
Counter (retail) price What a pharmacy charges with no insurance and no program SingleCare listed Jatenzo 60 × 237 mg at $1,661.30 without insurance when checked Only if that is the quote you actually use; compare it with the maker program
Discount-card price GoodRx-style coupon price Jatenzo about $938–$1,014 with a SingleCare coupon Sometimes. Always ask for the cash price too
Copay-card price Your copay after insurance pays, reduced by the maker's card "As little as $0" for Jatenzo or Tlando Only if your commercial plan approves the drug
Maker cash program A set price at network pharmacies for people without coverage Tlando $150, Jatenzo $185 Yes, for the medicine. Doctor and labs are extra
Bundled telehealth price One monthly fee for visits, labs, and medicine Henry $179, GetKYZATREX $229 Closest to all-in. Read the commitment terms

One tip that saves money: discount cards aren't always cheaper. On SingleCare, the listed "coupon" price for 120 Kyzatrex 200 mg capsules was higher than the listed counter price ($414–$416 vs. $260–$366). Ask the pharmacist for both numbers and take the lower one.

Can your Kyzatrex pharmacy cost change if the prescribed dose changes?

Yes. The current Kyzatrex label starts at 200 mg twice daily and allows clinician-directed adjustment from 100 mg once daily up to 400 mg twice daily based on follow-up testosterone testing. Kyzatrex is sold in multiple capsule strengths, so the quantity and strength on the prescription can change.

That does not mean the price rises in a simple one-to-one way. Pharmacy pricing differs by strength, quantity, location, and discount arrangement. We could not verify a single per-capsule price that can be safely applied across all Kyzatrex strengths.

What this means for you: If you are paying a pharmacy directly, ask for the price of the exact strength and quantity your clinician prescribes. If you are considering Henry or GetKYZATREX, ask whether the posted monthly price stays the same if the prescribed strength or quantity changes.

What does oral testosterone cost in the first year?

At the current posted prices, 12 treatment months cost $2,148 through Henry's Kyzatrex plan or $2,748 through GetKYZATREX, where the published bundles include medication and clinical-program components. Manufacturer access programs annualize to $1,800 for Tlando at its $150 minimum or $2,220 for Jatenzo at $185 cash, before separate clinician and lab costs. Your actual first-year total depends on what testing and follow-up you still need.

What the labs and visits add if you use your own doctor

The drug labels and the American Urological Association (AUA) guideline tell you how much testing to expect. This calendar comes from the Kyzatrex label, the Tlando label, and the AUA guideline:

Oral testosterone cost table 4: What the labs and visits add if you use your own doctor
When What gets checked Why
Before you start Two early-morning total testosterone tests on separate days Required by the current Kyzatrex, Jatenzo, and Tlando labels before initiation; guidelines also require repeat early-morning confirmation plus compatible symptoms or signs
Before you start Hematocrit (the share of your blood made of red blood cells) and PSA (prostate-specific antigen, a prostate blood test) Kyzatrex label safety checks
About 1 week in (Kyzatrex) or 3–4 weeks in (Tlando) Testosterone, timed a few hours after your morning dose To see if the dose is right
After any dose change Testosterone again Kyzatrex label
About every 3 months Hematocrit Kyzatrex label
Regularly Blood pressure, cholesterol, PSA Labels
Every 6–12 months once stable Testosterone AUA guideline

Our read: expect more than one round of testing in the first year, but the exact number of blood draws depends on the product, whether tests can be combined, dose changes, results, and your clinician's plan. The current Kyzatrex and Jatenzo labels call for follow-up testosterone testing after initiation or dose adjustment and periodic hematocrit monitoring; Tlando has its own fixed-dose monitoring schedule.

That's one reason a bundled program can be easier to budget when its published price truly includes the required lab work.

Which oral testosterone is cheapest for your situation?

It depends on how you'll pay. For uninsured people who already have a prescriber and meet the program terms, Tlando's as-little-as $150 preferred-pharmacy offer is the lowest published medicine-only access price we verified, and Jatenzo's $185 cash program is next. For this page's adult-male audience, Henry Meds publishes a $179 Kyzatrex plan including visits, labs, medication, supplies, shipping, and support; Henry says men must be ages 35 to 65 and Kyzatrex is not available through Henry in California.

Does insurance cover oral testosterone?

Sometimes. Coverage rules are plan-specific, and some plans use prior authorization, formulary restrictions, or step therapy. Jatenzo and Tlando offer savings programs that can lower out-of-pocket cost for eligible commercially insured patients. Kyzatrex's manufacturer describes it as cash-pay, so check the exact product and payment path rather than assuming insurance will reimburse it.

Commercial insurance

Prior authorization means the plan requires clinical information before it decides whether it will cover the drug. The exact criteria come from your plan, not from one universal oral-testosterone rule. A plan may ask for diagnostic testing, the indication, or prior use of other covered treatments. Ask the plan or prescriber for the written criteria that apply to your policy.

If the plan says yes, add the maker's copay card. Jatenzo's card covers up to $393 a month for the 237 mg strength, for up to 12 uses. Tlando's card also has a yearly cap, but its published terms don't list the dollar amount.

If your plan says no

You still have two moves:

  1. Ask for the written denial reason and appeal it. Your doctor may need to add the missing test or note.
  2. Use the "not covered" price while you wait or instead. Jatenzo lists $150 a month and Tlando lists as little as $150 for commercially insured patients without coverage.

Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and VA

Maker copay cards and cash programs exclude government insurance. Tlando's terms add that its cash purchases can't count toward your Medicare Part D out-of-pocket total. Coverage depends on your exact plan's drug list (its formulary) and its rules. Look up your plan in Medicare's Plan Finder or ask the plan directly whether Jatenzo, Tlando, or Kyzatrex is listed and what approval it needs.

HSA and FSA

Prescribed medicine, doctor visits, and lab fees can count as qualified medical expenses under IRS rules (Publication 502). A bundled monthly membership isn't automatically eligible in full. Keep itemized receipts and ask your plan administrator.

Is oral testosterone cheaper than injections or cream?

Usually not. Generic testosterone injections through your own doctor are normally the cheapest way to get testosterone. The pill's extra value is format: no injections and no topical transfer risk, in exchange for oral dosing with food and ongoing monitoring. Whether that tradeoff is worth the extra cost depends on the price you can actually access and the treatment format your clinician recommends.

First-year cost: pills vs. the alternatives people actually compare

Oral testosterone cost table 7: First-year cost: pills vs. the alternatives people actually compare
Option FDA-approved or compounded? Needle-free? First-year cost we can document
Kyzatrex via Henry Meds FDA-approved Yes (swallowed) $2,148
Kyzatrex via GetKYZATREX FDA-approved Yes (swallowed) $2,748 for 12 treatment months
Jatenzo cash program + your doctor FDA-approved Yes (swallowed) $2,220 + care
Generic testosterone injections through your own doctor FDA-approved No Varies too much by plan and pharmacy for one honest number

What the pill buys you: no injections and no topical testosterone that can transfer by skin contact.

What the pill asks of you: oral testosterone undecanoate products have product-specific food and monitoring instructions, and some require clinician-directed dose adjustment. Kyzatrex and Tlando labels explicitly state that they are not substitutable with other oral testosterone undecanoate products. Do not assume one brand can simply be swapped for another at the pharmacy.

If oral testosterone is no longer your priority and you want to compare injections, topical treatment, or local care instead, use the TRT cost guide or Find My TRT Path rather than choosing an unrelated provider from this page.

Are Jatenzo, Tlando, and Kyzatrex the same thing? Is there a generic?

They share an active ingredient, testosterone undecanoate, but they are separate FDA-approved products with different strengths, dosing rules, and price programs. The current Kyzatrex and Tlando labels explicitly say they are not substitutable with other oral testosterone undecanoate products. FDA also lists Undecatrex as an authorized generic under Kyzatrex's NDA, but we could not verify a current public cash price for it.

About that generic: Undecatrex is listed with the FDA as an authorized generic of Kyzatrex. That means it's the same product sold under a different label, approved under Kyzatrex's application. Its listing (labeler Trifluent Pharma) shows a 200 mg, 120-capsule bottle with a 2024 marketing start date. We couldn't confirm a public cash price or how many pharmacies stock it. If you're paying per capsule, ask your pharmacist whether they can get it and what it costs.

We did not find an FDA-listed generic version of Jatenzo or Tlando in the sources checked for this page.

Are testosterone pills FDA-approved? What about troches and "T pills"?

Jatenzo, Tlando, and Kyzatrex (and Kyzatrex's authorized generic) are FDA-approved prescription testosterone. Plenty of other things sold as "oral testosterone" are not. Compounded testosterone troches and capsules aren't FDA-approved. Older methyltestosterone pills carry liver warnings that guidelines take seriously. Over-the-counter "T boosters" contain no testosterone at all.

Methyltestosterone is an older type of oral testosterone. Its chemistry is changed so the liver does not break it down as quickly; this is called 17-alpha-alkylation. Current testosterone-undecanoate labels distinguish these newer products from older alkylated oral androgens, and the AUA guideline recommends against prescribing alkylated oral testosterone because of liver toxicity concerns.

The newer oral testosterone-undecanoate products are built differently from older alkylated oral androgens. That does not make them free of liver warnings: the current Kyzatrex medication guide still lists symptoms of liver problems that warrant medical attention.

Compounded testosterone: troches, creams, and capsules

Compounded means a pharmacy mixes a preparation for a patient instead of selling a factory-made, FDA-approved product. The FDA doesn't review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they're sold. The AUA guideline says commercially made testosterone products should be prescribed instead of compounded ones when possible.

A troche is a small lozenge that dissolves between your cheek and gum. You don't swallow it. It's taken "by mouth," but it isn't the same as Jatenzo, Tlando, or Kyzatrex.

Some telehealth clinics offer compounded testosterone troches. Those are not FDA-approved oral testosterone-undecanoate capsules and should not be treated as a lower-cost version of Jatenzo, Tlando, or Kyzatrex. If a compounded troche is being proposed, ask for the exact formulation, dispensing pharmacy, complete price, and why that route is being recommended.

Clomiphene and enclomiphene are not oral testosterone

Some clinics sell daily pills that try to make your own body produce more testosterone. These are not testosterone and not TRT:

  • Clomiphene is FDA-approved for ovulation problems in women. Using it in men is off-label.
  • Enclomiphene has no FDA-approved product in the U.S. What clinics sell is compounded.

They have different evidence, risks, and goals, so they belong in a different decision. If fertility is the reason you're looking at them, see the fertility section below.

What safety checks come with testosterone pills, and do they add cost?

Yes, they add cost if your program doesn't include them. All three FDA-approved pills can raise blood pressure, so the labels call for regular blood pressure checks. They also include hematocrit monitoring, prostate evaluation, blood-pressure monitoring, and product-specific follow-up testosterone testing after treatment starts. In February 2025 the FDA removed the class-wide boxed warning about heart attack and stroke and added blood pressure warnings for all testosterone products.

Blood pressure, in real numbers

  • Kyzatrex: On 24-hour monitoring, average systolic/diastolic blood pressure rose 1.7/0.6 mmHg after 4 months. In men already on blood pressure medicine, systolic rose 3.4 mmHg. The label says Kyzatrex isn't recommended for men with uncontrolled high blood pressure.
  • Jatenzo: Its label reports an average rise of 4.9/2.5 mmHg after 4 months on 24-hour monitoring.

Small averages can matter more for some people than others. That's why the checks exist.

Red blood cells and the prostate

Testosterone can raise hematocrit. If it climbs too high, the risk of blood clots goes up. The Kyzatrex label calls for a check before starting and about every 3 months. PSA is checked before and during treatment because testosterone can affect the prostate.

What changed on the labels, and why some pages are out of date

In February 2025, the FDA removed boxed-warning language about cardiovascular outcomes for all testosterone products. It made that change after reviewing the TRAVERSE trial, which found no meaningful difference in major heart events between testosterone gel and placebo. It also required blood pressure warnings. The Kyzatrex and Jatenzo labels were revised in July 2025, removing their blood pressure boxed warnings while keeping blood pressure as a listed warning.

In June 2026, the FDA asked for further updates. These included removing the old "age-related hypogonadism" limitation and revising prostate safety information. Label updates roll out on different timelines.

Some manufacturer materials and competitor articles still show older warning language. When in doubt, check the current label on DailyMed.

Does oral testosterone affect fertility?

Yes. Testosterone pills can lower sperm production just like shots or gel can. The Kyzatrex label warns that exogenous testosterone can suppress sperm production and may cause azoospermia. If you want to have a baby soon, start with a reproductive urologist or another fertility-focused clinician before choosing any testosterone, pill or not.

Here's why. Testosterone you take from outside tells your brain to stop sending the signals your testes use to make sperm. The Kyzatrex label says the drug may cause azoospermia (no sperm in the semen). The AUA guideline says men with low testosterone who want children should get a reproductive health evaluation before treatment. The Endocrine Society advises against testosterone therapy for men planning fertility in the near term.

Testosterone also isn't birth control. And no one can promise how fertility will respond, during or after treatment.

Start here instead: our TRT and fertility guide and a reproductive urology appointment.

Yes, with a valid prescription from an appropriately licensed clinician after a clinical evaluation and appropriate testing. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance. Through December 31, 2026, the federal temporary telemedicine extension permits DEA-registered practitioners to prescribe Schedule II–V controlled medications without a prior in-person medical evaluation when the federal conditions are met; state law and professional-practice rules still apply.

Schedule III means federal law treats testosterone as a drug with abuse potential. A questionnaire or a payment can't replace a clinician's prescribing decision. Any site offering testosterone "without a prescription" isn't a cheaper version of TRT. It's illegal and unsafe, with no way to know what's really in the bottle.

What should you check before paying for oral testosterone?

Confirm the exact product, whether it's FDA-approved or compounded, what the quoted price includes, and whether labs and visits cost extra. Then confirm whether the price changes with your dose and what happens if you cancel or aren't prescribed. Get those answers in writing before you pay anything.

Your pre-payment checklist

Copy and send this before you enroll

Please send me a written, itemized estimate for my first 12 months of oral testosterone treatment. Include the exact product name, whether it is FDA-approved or compounded, the monthly price at every possible dose, which lab tests are included and how often, visit fees, shipping, minimum commitment, cancellation and refund terms, any state or age limits, and how I can download my medical records. Please list anything that is not included in the advertised price.

If the answer is "it depends," ask what it depends on. That's how a $179 headline stays $179.

Two refund details we found in the fine print

  • GetKYZATREX says you can get a full refund only if you cancel before completing your labs. After labs, or after meeting a physician, no refund. It also charges a $75 no-show fee if you join a video visit 10 or more minutes late. Its terms include a binding arbitration clause you can opt out of within 30 days.
  • Henry Meds says you can cancel anytime. If you're on a multi-month plan, you may have to pay out the rest of the balance unless a provider determines you can't continue for medical reasons.

Oral testosterone cost FAQ

How much are testosterone pills without insurance?

About $150 to $185 a month for the medicine through the current maker access programs we verified (Tlando from $150, Jatenzo $185). Kyzatrex is $179 through Henry Meds and $229 through GetKYZATREX on their current published program pages. Regular pharmacy cash prices vary; get a current quote for the exact product, strength, and quantity.

What is the cheapest oral testosterone?

For medicine only, Tlando's preferred-pharmacy program, at as little as $150 a month, is the lowest published price. For an all-in price with visits and labs, Henry Meds' Kyzatrex plan at $179 a month is the lowest we found. It isn't available in California. If you have commercial insurance that approves the drug, a copay card can bring Jatenzo or Tlando down to as little as $0.

How much does Kyzatrex cost per month?

$179 a month through Henry Meds and $229 a month through GetKYZATREX, based on the current published program pages. Henry says its price includes provider visits, labwork, medication, supplies, shipping, and support. GetKYZATREX includes medication, physician review, and a hormone panel. Pharmacy cash prices vary by strength, quantity, location, and discount arrangement, so get a current quote for the exact prescription.

How much does Jatenzo cost per month?

$185 a month through Tolmar's cash program, or $150 if your commercial insurance denied coverage, at contracted network pharmacies. With commercial coverage, the copay card can lower it to as little as $0, with up to $393 a month in copay help for the 237 mg strength. SingleCare listed 60 Jatenzo 237 mg capsules at $1,661.30 without insurance and about $1,013.73 with its coupon when checked; pharmacy and coupon prices can change.

How much does Tlando cost per month?

As little as $150 through the Tlando Preferred Pharmacy Network for eligible uninsured patients or commercially insured patients without coverage. Shipping may be extra. With commercial coverage, the copay card may bring it to as little as $0. Drugs.com listed about $885.03 for 120 Tlando 112.5 mg capsules when checked; pharmacy prices can change.

Is there a generic oral testosterone?

Undecatrex is FDA-listed as an authorized generic under Kyzatrex's NDA and is labeled by Trifluent Pharma. We couldn't verify a current public cash price or broad pharmacy availability. We did not find an FDA-listed generic version of Jatenzo or Tlando in the sources checked for this page.

Can my pharmacy swap one brand for a cheaper one?

Do not assume so. The current Kyzatrex and Tlando labels explicitly state that they are not substitutable with other oral testosterone undecanoate products. Jatenzo has different labeled strengths and dose-adjustment instructions, so any brand change should go through the prescriber and pharmacist rather than being treated as an automatic generic-style substitution.

Why is Jatenzo over $1,000 at my pharmacy but $185 online?

The $185 price is Tolmar's cash program, and it only works at contracted network pharmacies. Your regular pharmacy is quoting its own retail price. Ask your doctor to send the prescription to a network pharmacy, or call the program at 773-756-5798.

Does Medicare cover oral testosterone?

It depends on your plan's drug list and approval rules. Maker copay cards and cash programs exclude Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and VA coverage. Tlando's cash purchases also can't count toward your Part D out-of-pocket total. Check your plan's formulary or call the plan.

Can I use my HSA or FSA for testosterone pills?

Prescribed medicine, doctor visits, and lab fees can qualify under IRS rules. A bundled membership isn't automatically eligible in full. Keep itemized receipts and confirm with your plan administrator.

Is oral testosterone bad for your liver?

The newer oral testosterone-undecanoate products are designed to avoid the first-pass liver exposure associated with older alkylated oral androgens, but they are not free of liver-related safety language. Current medication guides still tell patients to report symptoms of liver problems. The AUA guideline recommends against alkylated oral testosterone because of liver toxicity concerns.

Do testosterone pills raise blood pressure?

Yes, on average. On 24-hour monitoring, Kyzatrex raised systolic blood pressure 1.7 mmHg on average (3.4 mmHg in men already on blood pressure medicine), and Jatenzo's label reports 4.9 mmHg. That's why the labels call for regular blood pressure checks and why uncontrolled high blood pressure is a reason to pause and talk with your clinician.

Do I need two blood tests before getting oral testosterone?

Yes. The Kyzatrex and Tlando labels require low testosterone confirmed on at least two separate mornings, and the AUA guideline says the same. Guidelines also require matching symptoms or signs. One number or a quiz can't diagnose low testosterone. See our blood test guide.

Is enclomiphene the same as oral testosterone?

No. Enclomiphene isn't testosterone, and there's no FDA-approved enclomiphene product in the U.S. Clinics that sell it use compounded versions. It's a separate decision with its own evidence and risks.

What happens to online testosterone prescriptions after December 31, 2026?

The current federal temporary extension runs through December 31, 2026. What happens after that depends on any final federal rule or further extension, plus state law. Do not assume a 2026 telehealth process will remain unchanged in 2027; check the current rule before relying on a no-in-person pathway.

The bottom line

Oral testosterone can look far more expensive at a pharmacy counter than it does through a current manufacturer or telehealth access program. The programs we verified put medicine-only access around $150–$185 a month and bundled Kyzatrex care at $179–$229 a month. Twelve treatment months of the verified bundles annualize to $2,148–$2,748 at today's posted prices.

It still usually is not the lowest-cost testosterone format; generic injections often have a lower medication price. The decision comes down to whether an oral format is worth the extra cost for you and is clinically appropriate. Then choose the payment path that fits, and ask how the price changes if the prescribed strength, quantity, insurance status, or monitoring needs change.
