Talon Wellness TRT Reviews: What $65 a Month Really Gets You (2026)

Talon Wellness TRT reviews include praise for price and ease, plus a refill complaint. Its $65 monthly estimate may appeal to men with a confirmed diagnosis who want injections. The catch: the pages we checked name no prescriber and leave the full cost, product and dispensing identity unclear. It is not a shortcut to diagnosis.

That can still be a smart buy for the right man. It depends on whether the $65 holds up for you. It also depends on four answers Talon doesn't publish. We'll show you exactly what those are, and the one detail most readers miss. The no-membership wording on Talon's homepage is for a different treatment.

Talon may fit you if:

  • Low testosterone has already been evaluated using symptoms or signs and repeat early-morning blood tests.
  • You're comfortable with injections.
  • You're willing to confirm the billing and renewal terms before paying.
  • Price matters more to you than a big-brand experience.

Look elsewhere if:

  • You want a prescription before a proper diagnosis.
  • You're trying to have a child now or soon.
  • You need insurance billing or a specific FDA-approved product and Talon cannot confirm that arrangement.
  • Talon will not identify your prescriber before payment, or you need refunds after services are rendered.

Talon Wellness at a glance

Talon advertises telemedicine care, a Henderson office, and a $65 monthly TRT estimate with labs and a consultation included. The offer does not settle your full bill, assigned prescriber, or exact testosterone product and dispensing pharmacy. These are findings from its public pages, not services we tested.

What we actually verified

We verified what Talon publishes about price, labs, pharmacies, refills and its terms. We did not verify the care delivered or a complete personal quote. The distinctions below show what the evidence can and cannot answer.

Date checked: October 7, 2026.

What we read:

  • Talon's homepage, Men's Health page, About Us page and sign-up page
  • Its Terms & Conditions (updated January 21, 2026) and Privacy Policy (effective October 2025)
  • Its refill page and its FAQ
  • The Endocrine Society testosterone guideline and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America's explanations of American Urological Association (AUA) recommendations
  • The FDA's guidance on compounded drugs
  • The DEA's telemedicine rule

Confirmed on Talon's own pages:

  • The price tiles and their footnote
  • The $99 lab panel
  • The no-refund clause
  • The three pharmacy names
  • The Helix HRT branding still on the site
  • That no prescriber is named on the pages reviewed
  • That two different phone numbers are listed
  • The written process for getting your medical records

Talon says it, but we could not confirm it independently:

  • Labs and consult are included
  • It serves all 50 states
  • It is family- and veteran-owned
  • It prescribes only when "medically necessary"

Public commenters report:

  • An easy start
  • One delayed refill that was later shipped

Still unknown:

  • The full first-year bill
  • Which lab draws your blood
  • Who prescribes, and where they're licensed
  • Which states are actually served
  • Whether the testosterone is FDA-approved or compounded
  • How often follow-up labs happen

Regulator checks: Nevada records document a Partell disciplinary order and a later National Health Rx ownership approval. Oklahoma lists National Health RX in good standing at the address Talon gives for Partell. Texas lists Striker as active. The pharmacy section below explains the limits of those checks.

What we did not do: We did not sign up, inspect a personalized checkout, pay, take medication, or speak with a Talon clinician. This is not a hands-on review. Our full method is How We Review TRT Providers.

The right TRT provider is not the same for every person — it depends on whether low testosterone has been properly evaluated, your symptoms and health history, your fertility plans, your state, your insurance or cash-pay preference, your treatment-format preference, your budget, and whether online or in-person care is the better starting point. Some situations belong with primary care, urology, endocrinology, reproductive urology, or urgent or emergency care when the symptoms warrant it. Because a general answer cannot resolve those for you, use TRT Provider Guide's Find My TRT Path tool to map your situation to the right care route and the questions to ask before you pay.

Find My TRT Path is educational and non-diagnostic. Privacy Policy.

Is Talon Wellness legit?

Talon publishes a Nevada address, terms and privacy policy, named pharmacy contacts, and a written rule that lab work comes before any prescription. Those are useful checks, but they do not verify the assigned clinician or authorization to treat you in your state. Confirm both before you pay.

Here's what made us take Talon seriously:

  • A published address and policies. Talon lists an office in Henderson, Nevada. Its terms were updated in January 2026. Its privacy policy explains how patients can request their records.
  • Labs before prescriptions. Talon's FAQ says lab work is required before any prescription "to ensure treatment is medically appropriate."
  • A medical-necessity rule. Talon says it prescribes testosterone only when "medically necessary and clinically appropriate," including for men who are already on testosterone elsewhere.
  • Named pharmacies. Talon names three.

And here's what kept us from going further:

  • No named prescriber on the pages reviewed. We checked the pages listed in our research method. Talon's privacy policy mentions "our board-certified medical practitioner" but never says who that is or which board certified them.
  • No state-specific detail. "Serving All 50 States" appears on the pages we reviewed. We did not find a clinician-by-state or product-availability list that backs it up.
  • No full TRT price list. There's a price estimate and a lab panel price. The reviewed pages do not close the rest of the bill.
  • Small loose ends. Two different phone numbers appear: 725-444-5575 on the site and 725-296-1117 in the terms. And as of our check, blog preview cards on the homepage still contain placeholder filler text.

None of these gaps proves anything is wrong. It means the reviewed pages do not give you all the information you need to judge it, so you have to ask.

We also did not establish a current Talon-specific result in LegitScript's website-status tool. That is an unverified check, not a finding that certification was denied.

One pharmacy detail needs a direct answer. Talon still lists Partell, but later regulator records identify National Health RX at that address. The pharmacy section below includes both the disciplinary history and the later ownership evidence. Ask Talon for the current dispensing entity before paying.

Check any TRT clinic yourself:

  1. Ask for your prescriber's full name.
  2. Look that person up with the regulator for their profession in the state where you will be located. For physicians, use the Federation of State Medical Boards directory; for nurse practitioners, use the state nursing board.
  3. Look up the dispensing pharmacy on your state's board of pharmacy using the FDA's state pharmacy lookup page.

Is Talon Wellness the same as Helix HRT?

Talon's website connects the two names, but we did not establish the legal history of the business. As of October 7, 2026:

Those traces do not establish when or why the name changed, or whether a particular patient's clinicians, contract and records stayed the same.

What it means for you:

  • Search both names when you read reviews. Older reviews may be filed under Helix.
  • If you were a Helix patient, ask Talon which medical practice is responsible for your care and whether it has your records and prescription history.

How much does Talon Wellness TRT really cost?

Talon advertises men's TRT "as low as $65 a month," with labs and a consultation included. Talon says the figure is an estimate based on average dosing; if it holds all year, that's about $780. The reviewed pages do not price follow-up labs, shipping, supplies or follow-up visits, so your real total depends on a written quote.

Talon's headline is an estimate.

Our cost comparison, labeled last verified September 2, 2026, records Talon at $74/month. Talon's live homepage showed $65 on October 7. We did not recover a dated September capture of Talon's price tile.

That is a difference between two published figures, not a verified price history. Talon's own footnote makes the key point: this is an estimate, not a price list. Your number depends on your prescription, and it can change. That's why we recommend getting your quote in writing before you share payment details.

What we know and what we don't

Talon Wellness review table 2: What we know and what we don't
Cost item Talon's public number Status What to ask Talon
First consultation "Included" in the TRT price Talon says "Is anything charged before my first prescription?"
First lab work "Included" in the TRT price Talon says "Are my first labs included, or is that the separate $99 panel? Is repeat early-morning testing included?"
TRT program estimate "As low as $65/month," average-dose estimate Talon says; not an itemized medication quote "What will my prescribed medication cost, how long does each purchase cover, and when will I be charged?"
Follow-up labs Not published Unknown "How often, and what does each one cost?"
Follow-up visits Not published Unknown "Are follow-up visits included?"
Syringes and supplies Not published Unknown "Are supplies included?"
Shipping Not published Unknown "What does shipping cost per order?"
Membership, commitment and renewal Complete TRT terms not stated Unclear "Is there any recurring fee, minimum purchase or automatic renewal?"
Required in-person assessment Not priced Unknown "Would I need one, where would it happen, and what would it cost?"

The homepage's "No membership. No subscription. Pay by the vial" wording appears under GLP-1/GIP treatment, not the men's TRT offer. It does not establish Talon's TRT billing policy. How long a vial lasts depends on the prescription, which only your clinician decides.

First-year scenarios

These are arithmetic illustrations, not verified first-year quotes. The $99 panel is a separately advertised test; Talon has not established that it is the required repeat or follow-up panel.

Talon Wellness review table 3: First-year scenarios
If… First-year total
Talon's $65 estimate holds all year, with nothing extra $780
Plus one extra $99 lab panel, if that is what Talon requires and charges $879
Plus two extra $99 lab panels, under the same assumption $978
The $74 figure in our earlier comparison were used for twelve months $888

These illustrations leave any unpriced shipping, supplies, visit fees or other charges outside the calculation. That is why $780 is not a verified all-in bill. Our 16-clinic cost comparison gives other figures to check against your quote; each plan has its own inclusions, limits and verification date.

Build your own number

Grab your quote and fill in this worksheet. Repeat it for any other clinic you're considering. Count each charge once: if an upfront payment already covers medication, labs or program fees, do not add those same charges again.

  1. Cash due before your first prescription, including any separate confirmatory test: $____
  2. Medication price × remaining orders charged in the first year: $____
  3. Membership or program fees × remaining payments in the first year: $____
  4. Follow-up lab panels × price: $____
  5. Follow-up visits × price, plus any required in-person assessment not counted above: $____
  6. Supplies and shipping × number of orders, plus any other required fees or taxes: $____
  7. Total for 12 months: $____

Any blank line is a question you still need answered. Write $0 only when the provider confirms that item is included or not charged. For a fuller version that compares quotes side by side, use our TRT cost calculator and worksheet.

Does Talon take insurance or HSA/FSA?

The Talon pages we reviewed don't say. Budget without assuming reimbursement. Ask Talon and your plan administrator about HSA or FSA payment, insurance billing, and the receipts your plan requires. If your insurance covers testosterone care, a local, insurance-billing clinician may cost you less than any cash-pay program. You can compare online and local TRT care before deciding which quote to request.

The one tradeoff to know before you call:

Talon does not publish a complete TRT bill or name your prescriber on the pages we checked. That is the tradeoff to settle before paying: the low headline is visible, but the care and cost details still need a written answer.

Talon advertises $65 a month with labs and a consult included. That's about $780 a year if the estimate holds. It does not prove that membership is absent or that monitoring costs nothing.

If price is your main reason for looking at Talon, the written total is what makes the offer worth comparing. If you need published clinician information or a set follow-up schedule, the alternatives below show what other programs disclose.

Want to find out whether the estimate holds for you? Visit Talon's homepage and use its "Request a Phone Call" button to ask for your quote →

What's included at Talon, and what isn't disclosed?

Talon says lab work and a consultation are included, and that labs are required before any prescription. The reviewed pages do not identify the lab company, the second-morning testing policy, a set follow-up schedule, or whether your testosterone is an FDA-approved product or a compounded one.

This table is the heart of this page. Every row is a question a buyer needs answered. It shows what Talon publicly says, where it says it, and what's still open. We checked every row on October 7, 2026.

Who prescribes at Talon, and can it treat you in your state?

The Talon pages we reviewed do not name a prescribing doctor or nurse practitioner or give state-specific detail beyond "Serving All 50 States." Testosterone is a controlled drug, so your prescriber must be legally authorized to treat you where you are located for the visit and meet the applicable DEA requirements. Get a name, then look it up.

Why the name matters. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance. That's the federal category for drugs with accepted medical uses but some potential for misuse, and it means you need a valid prescription (DEA). Telehealth doesn't change that. The clinician must be legally authorized to provide care in the state where you are when you get care (HHS licensing guidance). A clinic's "all 50 states" claim is only as good as the state authorizations behind it.

What the federal rule allows right now. The DEA and HHS have extended temporary telemedicine rules through December 31, 2026. Until then, qualifying DEA-registered clinicians can prescribe Schedule II–V drugs, including testosterone, by audio-video visit without seeing you in person first, provided the prescription meets the rule's conditions and applicable federal and state requirements (DEA, December 31, 2025; operative rule).

Keep two limits in mind:

  • Your state can still require more.
  • The extension verified here ends on December 31, 2026; it does not establish the rules after that date.

Ask Talon what happens to your care if an in-person visit becomes required. Talon says it offers in-office visits in Henderson. Confirm whether that location, or another arrangement, would meet any requirement for your care.

What to ask, word for word:

  • "What is my prescriber's full name, and which license or telehealth registration authorizes care where I will be physically located?"
  • "Do you prescribe testosterone in [your state] today?"
  • "Do I need an in-person visit now, and what happens if the rules change?"

If you'd rather know your doctor's name before you hand over a card, that's a fair standard. Some programs publish it up front.

Ask Talon for the clinician who would actually treat you. A program publishing its medical leaders is useful, but it does not by itself identify your assigned prescriber.

Is Talon's testosterone compounded? Which pharmacy fills it?

Talon names three pharmacy contacts: Partell in Las Vegas, Anazao in Tampa, and Striker in Katy, Texas; all three describe compounding services on their own websites. Talon doesn't say whether your testosterone cypionate would be an FDA-approved manufactured product or a compounded preparation. That's the most important product question to ask.

Two terms, in plain English:

  • FDA-approved means the FDA reviewed the drug for safety, effectiveness and manufacturing quality before it was sold. Testosterone cypionate is available as FDA-approved products.
  • Compounded means a drug is prepared or altered to meet a patient's medical needs. The FDA says compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. They are not the same as approved generics (FDA).

A compounded drug isn't automatically bad. Lawful compounding can serve a real medical need when applicable requirements are met. But you deserve to know which one you're getting.

The pharmacies Talon names:

Talon Wellness review table 5: Is Talon's testosterone compounded? Which pharmacy fills it?
Pharmacy Location checked against the pharmacy's own site What to check
Partell Pharmacy (name Talon lists) 5835 S Eastern Ave, Ste 101, Las Vegas, NV 89119; later regulator records list National Health RX at this address Current legal entity, Nevada license and authorization to dispense your prescription in your state; see the record below
AnazaoHealth 5401 Hangar Ct., Tampa, FL 33634; Talon's FAQ still lists 5710 Hoover Blvd Exact dispensing location, Florida license and authorization to ship to your state
Striker 1330 Pin Oak Rd, Katy, TX 77494 Texas license 32325 was active, expiring October 31, 2026; confirm authorization for your state and prescription

What the pharmacy records add

Partell needs clarification. Nevada's June 2025 approved board minutes, pages 8–9, record an order to revoke Partell license PH02028 effective December 31, 2025. A historical Nevada roster, page 20, matches Partell and license PHN02028 to the Eastern Avenue address; it is not a current license check. Later, the board's October 2025 approved minutes, pages 17–18, approved a National Health Rx ownership change, subject to six months of monthly inspections.

Oklahoma's current records list National Health RX, permit 99-10125, at the Eastern Avenue address in good standing, with an expiration of February 28, 2027. The older Partell permit at that address is closed. That does not prove the location is closed or unlicensed now, and an Oklahoma permit does not establish permission to dispense every product in every state. We did not retrieve a current individual Nevada license record. Ask Talon which legal entity would fill your prescription and verify that entity's current authority.

Striker's Texas record is current. The Texas board lists license 32325 as active, for community sterile compounding, through October 31, 2026. That verifies its Texas status on our check date, not the approval status of your medication or availability in every state.

Anazao's exact facility matters. Its own site lists the Tampa pharmacy at 5401 Hangar Court and a separate Las Vegas outsourcing facility. Talon's FAQ still lists the Hoover Boulevard address. We did not retrieve a current individual Florida license record, so ask for the exact dispensing facility and confirm its license.

Anazao Health also appears in Male Excel's current pharmacy FAQ. Sharing a pharmacy doesn't make two programs equal. It's a reminder that the pharmacy is just one link in the chain. The prescriber and the monitoring matter just as much.

Ask Talon:

  • "Which of your three pharmacies would fill my prescription?"
  • "Is my testosterone cypionate an FDA-approved product or compounded?"
  • "Can I see the exact product details and a sample label before I pay?"

If injections are the sticking point, compare testosterone treatment formats before choosing a clinic.

What do Talon Wellness TRT reviews actually say?

The public Talon Wellness testosterone reviews we found include praise for price and an easy start, plus a delayed-refill report whose author later said the medication shipped. Reviews can show you reported experiences with service and billing. They can't tell you whether TRT is right for you or whether the medical care is sound.

We looked at Reddit threads naming Talon or Helix, review aggregators, and Talon's own site. The sample is small, and that matters. A few voices can't tell you what's typical. We did not authenticate patient identities or establish whether commenters had a material relationship with Talon.

What commenters praise:

One Redditor described a smooth start and quick shipment as a new customer (r/Testosterone). That post covers early experience only.

What commenters complain about:

One patient posted asking for other clinics after a refill was delayed and calls weren't answered (r/Testosterone). The same person later updated the thread to say the medication had shipped (update).

We include both halves on purpose. A complaint without its follow-up is misleading.

What people ask before signing up. In a Reddit thread about Talon's costs, the questions were exactly the ones in our ledger:

  • What are the consult fees and the ongoing costs without insurance?
  • Can I use recent bloodwork from another provider?
  • If so, which tests does Talon require?

An account using Talon's name replies in that thread. We did not verify who controls that account, so its replies are not official pricing or independent customer evidence.

How to read TRT reviews without getting fooled:

  • Stars do not establish medical quality. A five-star refill experience says nothing about whether a diagnosis was correct.
  • Look for patterns in billing, refills and reachability, not one-off stories.
  • Search "Helix HRT" too, then check which business, period and service a review describes.

How do refills, cancellations, refunds and records work?

Talon refills go through an online refill form or by texting 725-444-5575. Its terms say there are no refunds once services are delivered, and appointments need 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. To get your records, you send a written request to Talon's Privacy Officer, and a reasonable copying fee may apply.

Refills. Talon's FAQ points to the "Refill Request" link at the top of its site, or a text to 725-444-5575. We didn't submit a request, so we can't tell you how fast refills move. The author of the delayed-refill report above later said the medication shipped. Still, plan ahead. Ask Talon how many days before you run out you should request a refill.

Refunds. The terms are blunt: "we do not offer refunds once services have been rendered." The terms don't define "rendered." Before paying, ask what happens if you pay and the clinician decides not to prescribe.

Cancellation. The published appointment-cancellation instructions require 24 hours' notice. They do not settle future billing, renewal or medication-order cancellation. Confirm those terms in writing. Texting STOP ends the SMS service under the terms; it is not confirmation that care or billing has been canceled.

Your records. Talon's privacy policy says you can inspect and copy your health information by sending a written request to its Privacy Officer. It may charge "a reasonable fee" for copying, mailing or supplies.

If you ever switch clinics, you'll want three things:

  • Your lab results
  • Your prescription history
  • Your visit notes

Ask at sign-up how you'd get them. Also ask who handles urgent refill problems, how to reach a clinician between visits, and when to expect a reply. The reviewed pages do not set a guaranteed response or refill turnaround time.

How does Talon Wellness compare with Male Excel, Hone Health and other published-price options?

Talon's monthly headline is lower than the published program rates below, but its missing charges prevent a like-for-like total-cost comparison. Male Excel and Hone publish more detail about follow-up or testing, while the other clinics offer different price structures and state limits. The better pick depends on the care and complete quote that fit you.

Sources checked October 7, 2026: Talon; Male Excel's TRT page, pricing, FAQ, terms and guarantee; Hone's Plus plan, lab schedule, state table, membership terms and cancellation policy. These are provider-stated offers and policies, not care we tested.

How the comparison math works: Male Excel's $2,727 is $99 to start + twelve $99 membership payments + six $240 medication purchases at its advertised injection-bundle rate. That bundle includes thyroid medication and listed supplies; it is not a testosterone-only quote or evidence that you need thyroid treatment. The site describes a 60-day supply billed every other month. Six such supplies cover 360 days, so ask for actual charge dates before treating this as a 365-day cash budget. Our Male Excel cost breakdown explains that billing distinction.

Hone Plus's $1,710–$1,745 is $45 for the first test + $45, $50 or $80 for confirmation + twelve $135 membership payments. Medication is extra. Hone lists injections from $28 per vial; the number and price of vials in your prescription determine the medication bill. Its Plus page includes shipping. Its homepage promotes a different $155 Premium membership with a $65 initial test and consultation, so confirm the tier in your quote rather than mixing the two price lists.

Talon vs. Male Excel

Choose Talon if a low quote is the point, you're already diagnosed, and you're fine asking questions by phone—provided its answers settle the prescriber, pharmacy, state and total-cost questions.

Choose Male Excel if you want published physician leadership, set check-ins every 60 days, and the option of cream. It advertises a daily dosing approach; whether that fits you is a clinical decision.

Male Excel lists its Chief Medical Officer, Peter Fotinos, MD, and its Medical Director, Lorna Brudie, DO, on its TRT page. It includes check-ins every 60 days. Those are published leadership and service claims, not proof of who will treat you or of better medical outcomes.

Be aware of these things with Male Excel:

  • Its Lipoderm cream is compounded and not FDA-approved. Ask for the exact injection product and its approval status; the reviewed injection material did not establish that.
  • Its TRT page says it treats "based on symptoms" rather than relying solely on lab numbers. Ask how Male Excel confirms the diagnosis using symptoms or signs and repeat early-morning testosterone testing.
  • Its $2,727 starting-rate subtotal is more than three times Talon's $780 annualized headline, but Talon's missing charges prevent a verified savings claim.
  • Its terms say prescriptions are sent to contracted pharmacies and will not be sent to a different pharmacy. If choosing your own pharmacy matters, this is a real limit.

If published physician leadership and built-in follow-ups fit your priorities, review Male Excel's current pricing →

Talon vs. Hone Health

Choose Hone Plus if you want a published confirmation-testing process and follow-up labs included in a membership, with medication billed separately. The initial and confirmatory tests cost extra. Consider Talon for its lower advertised estimate once you have a complete quote; a lack of recurring fees has not been established.

If price is the whole reason you're here

Talon's $65 is an estimate. If you'd rather start from published plan charges, these clinics give you other numbers to check. We rechecked the official pages on October 7, 2026; the labels below distinguish annualized rates from complete first-year bills.

Talon Wellness review table 7: If price is the whole reason you're here
Clinic First-year model from published rates The catch
Vyta Home Delivery $1,308 for twelve payments at $109/month Provider says medication, supplies, labs and visits are included; Florida, Michigan and Ohio only; home-delivery testosterone is compounded
Cost Plus TRT (new patient) $1,428 annualized plan minimum: $119 × 12 $297.50 for 2.5 months up front; initial and ten-week labs included, later labs not priced; main site lists 16 states, subject to intake confirmation
TRT Nation About $1,587 annualized: $99.99 × 12 + three $129 lab panels Purchases cover 2.5 months; a five-purchase model is about $1,637 and covers 12.5 months; excludes AL, AK, AR, MO and HI; California pricing may differ

These are price comparisons, not findings that each program fits your medical needs. Cost Plus still needs later-lab prices and actual renewal dates. TRT Nation's three-panel model follows its published baseline, ten-week and later first-year testing sequence; extra diagnostic tests or care can add costs. Ask each clinic for the full written quote.

Who should choose Talon, and who should skip it?

Talon may fit a man whose low testosterone is already confirmed, who is comfortable with injections, and whose written quote settles the care and cost questions. If you still need a diagnosis or have fertility plans, start by choosing the right care route. If insurance billing, a specific FDA-approved product or published clinician details are essential, ask whether Talon can meet those needs before paying.

What should a safe TRT start look like, with Talon or anyone?

Major guidelines say low testosterone should be diagnosed only when a man has symptoms or signs and consistently low results confirmed with repeat early-morning testing. The AUA uses two separate early-morning tests; a careful clinic also checks safety markers like hematocrit and, for men over 40, PSA before starting, and asks about fertility first.

Talon's public promise is "labs before any prescription." That's a good start, but it's not the whole standard. Here's what the major guidelines say, in plain words.

Diagnosis takes more than one number.

  • The American Urological Association uses a total testosterone below 300 ng/dL as a reasonable cutoff. Total testosterone is all the testosterone in your blood.
  • It says diagnosis should come only after two tests on separate occasions, both in the early morning, plus symptoms or signs. These AUA recommendations are also explained by the Sexual Medicine Society of North America.
  • The Endocrine Society also says to confirm a low result with a repeat morning fasting test.
  • A single low result, or a quiz, is not a diagnosis. The 300 ng/dL cutoff is not a universal rule for every lab or patient; the Endocrine Society calls for accurate tests and appropriate reference ranges.

The clinician should also evaluate the cause of low testosterone.

Safety checks before starting. AUA recommendations, also described in the Sexual Medicine Society of North America's patient guidance, say clinicians should:

  • Check hematocrit, the share of your blood made of red blood cells, because testosterone can raise it.
  • Measure PSA (prostate-specific antigen, a prostate blood test) in men over 40.

Follow-up never stops.

  • The AUA says testosterone levels should be measured every 6 to 12 months during treatment. Ask when your first follow-up tests will occur: the Endocrine Society guideline describes earlier checks after starting treatment, with timing depending on the formulation.
  • In 2025, the FDA added class-wide blood-pressure warnings to testosterone labeling (FDA), so blood pressure belongs in follow-up too.

The Talon pages we reviewed do not publish a set follow-up schedule. Ask for it.

Complex health issues need more than a price comparison. If you have a history of blood clots, a recent heart attack or stroke, untreated severe sleep apnea, a high red-blood-cell count, or prostate concerns, involve your primary care clinician or the relevant specialist before choosing a program. Those issues can change whether and how care proceeds (Endocrine Society).

If you've already been diagnosed and you're switching. Ask Talon whether it accepts recent outside labs, and which tests it needs. That was one of the questions commenters asked in the Reddit thread above. The answer can save you money.

We can't read your labs or tell you whether you need testosterone. Our blood test guide explains what each test means so you can talk it through with your clinician.

Can you use Talon if you want kids?

Testosterone therapy can lower sperm production, and the AUA says it should not be prescribed to men currently trying to conceive. The Talon pages we reviewed do not describe a fertility plan. If a child is part of your near-term plans, start with a urologist or reproductive urologist instead.

Here's why. Testosterone from outside the body can suppress the hormone signals your testicles use to make sperm. Whether and how fast sperm production returns after stopping varies from man to man (AUA/ASRM guideline).

No clinic can honestly promise:

  • that you'll become infertile,
  • that you'll stay fertile, or
  • that your fertility will return on a set timeline.

Discuss future fertility plans before treatment too, even if you are not trying to conceive now.

The AUA says men interested in fertility should have a reproductive health evaluation before treatment. The Endocrine Society recommends against starting testosterone in men planning fertility in the near term.

Some clinics offer non-testosterone options, like hCG or clomiphene. These are not TRT, and they have different approval status and evidence. FDA-approved hCG products include Pregnyl, which is labeled for selected cases of male hypogonadotropic hypogonadism—low testosterone caused by too little hormonal stimulation of the testes. Clomiphene use for male infertility or low testosterone is off-label, meaning outside its FDA-approved use for ovulatory dysfunction in women. A fertility-aware clinician should decide whether any of them fits you. Our TRT and fertility guide covers this in depth.

What should you ask Talon before you pay?

Ask Talon seven things before sharing payment details: who prescribes, which states it serves, the full first-year cost, which product and pharmacy you'll get, whether it requires two morning tests, how follow-up and refills work, and what you get back if you're not prescribed. Get the answers in writing.

Copy these. Text or email them to Talon. Keep the reply.

  1. Who will prescribe for me? What's their full name, the responsible medical practice, and their authorization to treat me in the state where I'll be located?
  2. Do you treat patients in my state right now? Do I need an in-person visit, where would it happen, and what happens if the rules change?
  3. What's my complete first-year cost? Include the consult, initial and repeat labs, medication, supplies, shipping, any in-person assessment and any recurring fees. What are the minimum purchase, renewal terms and actual charge dates?
  4. Which pharmacy will fill my prescription? What are its exact legal name, location and current license details? Is my testosterone an FDA-approved product or compounded, and what manufacturer or compounder appears on the label?
  5. Do you require two early-morning testosterone tests before diagnosis? Do you accept outside labs?
  6. How often are follow-up labs? What do they cost, and what do they check? How do I reach a clinician between visits, when should I request a refill, and how do I escalate a delay?
  7. If I pay and you don't prescribe, what do I get back? How do I cancel future billing and pending medication orders, and how do I get my records if I leave?

Our verdict on Talon Wellness TRT

Talon Wellness may be worth a call for men whose low testosterone is already confirmed and who are comfortable with injections and the published no-refund clause. Its weak spot is transparency. Get your prescriber's name, state authorization, exact product and pharmacy, and full-year cost in writing before deciding whether the price holds up.

What's verified:

  • A published Nevada address
  • Helix HRT references on Talon's site
  • Three named pharmacy contacts
  • A published requirement for labs before prescriptions
  • A no-refund clause after services are rendered
  • A live $65 monthly estimate, alongside a $74 figure in our earlier comparison

What's missing:

  • Who prescribes
  • Which current dispensing entity and license apply to your prescription
  • State-specific clinician and product availability
  • Whether your product is FDA-approved or compounded
  • A full fee schedule

Who it may fit: a diagnosed, injection-comfortable, price-first man who's willing to get the missing answers in writing before paying.

This is our editorial conclusion based on the facts above. It is not a medical recommendation.

How we researched this Talon Wellness review

We read Talon's public website, terms and privacy policy, compared its current price with our earlier site record, checked its named pharmacy websites and relevant public records, and read public customer-experience reports. We also reviewed clinical guidance and the federal telemedicine rule in force on October 7, 2026. We did not become a Talon patient or contact Talon for this audit.

What we did:

  1. Read Talon's homepage, Men's Health page, About Us page, sign-up page, refill page, Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy on October 7, 2026.
  2. Compared today's price with the number recorded in our cost comparison labeled September 2, 2026. We did not recover a dated September capture of Talon's tile.
  3. Recorded the Helix HRT branding still present on Talon's pages.
  4. Read public reports on Reddit, used only as service signals, never as medical evidence. We did not authenticate the authors as patients or independently verify their experiences.
  5. Checked medical and legal claims against the Endocrine Society, the AUA recommendations explained by the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, the AUA/ASRM fertility guideline, the FDA, the DEA and HHS. The AUA's own full guideline page was not accessible during this audit.
  6. Distinguished verified page content, provider-stated offers, customer reports, missing information and our editorial conclusion.

Our full process is How We Review TRT Providers. We don't give providers made-up scores. Our editorial standards explain how we handle sources and corrections. Found something out of date? Tell us here.

Check the dates before relying on a price or rule. This page records what we could verify on October 7, 2026. The current federal telemedicine extension expires December 31, 2026; that is not a promise of what will replace it.

Talon Wellness FAQ

Talon publishes a $65 monthly estimate and some lab, refill and refund terms. The missing answers are your assigned clinician, state-specific care arrangements, exact product and pharmacy, and full bill. A clinical evaluation is still required.

Is Talon Wellness legit?

Talon Wellness publishes a Henderson, Nevada address, terms and privacy policy, pharmacy contacts, and a rule that labs come before any prescription. That does not independently verify your clinician or pharmacy. The pages reviewed do not identify your prescriber or state-specific care arrangements, so confirm both before paying.

Is Talon Wellness the same as Helix HRT?

Talon's website retains a "Helix HRT" logo label and an older article using that name. Those references connect the branding; they do not verify the legal history, reason for a name change, or transfer of a patient's care and records.

How much is Talon Wellness TRT per month?

Talon advertises men's TRT "as low as $65/month," including labs and a consultation. Talon says that's an estimate based on average dosing. Our comparison labeled September 2, 2026 records $74; a dated Talon capture was not recovered. Ask for a written quote for your own prescription.

Can Talon evaluate me if I have not been diagnosed?

Talon advertises lab work and a consultation before prescribing. The pages reviewed do not explain its repeat early-morning testing policy, so ask how the clinician confirms a diagnosis and investigates its cause. Paying for an evaluation does not guarantee a prescription.

Does Talon Wellness include bloodwork?

Talon says labs are included in its TRT price and are required before any prescription. It also sells a separate 48-marker panel for $99. The pages reviewed do not name the lab company, explain repeat early-morning testing, or give a set follow-up schedule.

Does Talon Wellness take insurance?

The pages reviewed do not say. Budget without assuming reimbursement, and ask Talon and your plan administrator about insurance billing, HSA or FSA payment, and required receipts.

What pharmacy does Talon Wellness use?

Talon names three: Partell Pharmacy in Las Vegas, AnazaoHealth in Tampa, and Striker in Katy, Texas. Ask which exact pharmacy, location and current license would apply to your prescription. Later regulator records list National Health RX at the address Talon gives for Partell; the pharmacy section explains the history and current evidence.

Is Talon's testosterone FDA-approved?

Talon doesn't say whether its testosterone cypionate is an FDA-approved product or a compounded one. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. Ask before you pay.

Does Talon Wellness serve all 50 states?

Talon says it does, but the reviewed pages do not give state-specific clinician or product details. Ask whether it treats patients where you will be located and what in-person requirements apply.

Do I need an in-person visit for TRT through Talon?

The temporary federal rule permits qualifying audio-video prescribing without a prior in-person visit through December 31, 2026, when its conditions and other federal and state requirements are met. It does not guarantee that your care can be entirely remote. Talon says it offers in-office visits in Henderson, Nevada, by request.

Will Talon prescribe testosterone if my levels are normal?

Talon says it prescribes only when "medically necessary and clinically appropriate." Its FAQ says a provider reviews results in or above the normal range, including for people already taking testosterone. That is not a promise to prescribe to an untreated person with normal results. A prescription is never guaranteed.

Can I get a refund from Talon Wellness?

Talon's terms say there are no refunds once services have been rendered. Ask what you'd get back if you pay and aren't prescribed.

How do I refill with Talon Wellness?

Use the "Refill Request" link on Talon's website or text 725-444-5575. Ask how many days before you run out you should request a refill.

Can I use labs from another clinic?

Talon's website doesn't say. Ask whether it accepts recent outside labs and which tests it requires. Buyers in a Reddit thread about Talon's costs asked this same question.

Does Talon treat women?

Yes. Talon advertises women's testosterone therapy separately. This page covers adult men being evaluated for testosterone deficiency; it does not review women's hormone care or gender-affirming care, which need their own clinical frameworks.

Yes, when a clinician with the required authority issues a valid prescription and the care follows federal and state rules. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance. A questionnaire, payment or telemedicine visit alone does not guarantee a lawful prescription.

This page is educational information, not medical advice. It doesn't diagnose low testosterone or tell you whether to start, stop or change any medication. If you have chest pain or sudden trouble breathing, call 911. Seek prompt medical assessment for new leg pain or swelling (CDC).
